168. Cenk, you are taking these snippets out of context. There are plenty of other posters explaining that to you, so I'll take another angle: Jesus' "whole mission" was not to "help the poor"--in fact, he actually tells the disciples that the poor will always be with us, but He will not (John 12:8). Jesus' mission was to bring the whole world to Himself, that is, to God, and He did indeed instruct His followers to abandon EVERYTHING to follow Him. He Himself was poor and He praised the poor and lowly--but that is different from enabling the lazy, which is what the preacher is railing about. There can be no question that the preacher's vitriol is directed to people taking advantage of welfare.

Perhaps you're confusing Jesus with Gandhi.

Even though I don't always agree on matters of Christian Doctrine with Mr. Hagee, on the points you bring out, I DO!!

in the first part of your clip, he's not refering to those who can not work, he's refering to those who can work but are to LAZY to do so..Maybe you should listen to the FIRST part again..he even said LAZY he didn't say the poor..He said the LAZY!!

And yes, Jesus did say forsake your family to be Christ's disciple, and the difference between the Muslims and the Christianity is that Jesus says to love your neighbor not blow them up.

If you really understood Christianity you would understand your blinded by your hate towards God, and you don't even know it.
