Pope Benedict is eager to reach more young people, so he's embracing new technology, including social networking and text messaging. According to this Reuters article: The Pope will text daily messages of inspiration and hope during the six-day Sydney event while digital prayer walls will be erected at event sites and the church will set up a Catholic social networking Web site akin to a Catholic Facebook.
Wow is he going to get a lot of friend requests. But if he really wants to reach today's kids, he should start talking like them. For his first text, may we suggest: "Jesus luvz u. For realz."

3. Perhaps the darling Nazi youth has been watching "Dogma" lately...this kind of reminds me of Cardinal Glick's "Catholicism Wow!" campaign...hook 'em while they're young, people! Maybe the Buddy Christ will be resurrected on Facebook too!

As I said... Christianity searches for dumb people, and then makes them dumber.
The Gospel of Mark is a Sales Pitch for
(1) exorcists who command the invisible demonic spirits that possess humans
(2) angels who deliver messages from God in dreams, and
(3) the dead coming back to life ie, resurrection.
You've got to be a friggin' fool not to see what Christianity is.... and that's why they recruit fools. and then PRAISE them for being "fools for Christ."
Over 6 billion people on this planet... and Catholics claim that a man who opposes birth control speaks for God? Give me a break.

5. What the Catholic church doesn't want to face is that they have been losing parishoners to non-denominational churches for the last several decades. This current Pope only wants to take the church backwards with his sanctioning of more Latin masses (wow, that will bring the young folks in!)and some disdain for Vatican II (which has been around for, oh, I don't know some four + decades!). No amount of computer technology will bring back disgruntled Catholics who don't want to live like it's 1958.

That's a funny term.
disgruntled Catholics
Being a Catholic is like wearing an "I AM STUPID" sign on your back.

Miracles. Prayers. Angels. Sure.
Leave the Catholic Church and NEVER admit you were there. Ever.

8. More Catholic Bashing. You know - JEWS and Rabbis are all over facebook. Why not do a piece on that ADA - oh I forgot - you employers are Jewish and you dont want to offend them so you put Catholics up on your blog so people can berate them. Nice Ada - incidently you are not very attractive.

10. Poor William Hays-- it is fine that you choose not to be a Christian or religious--We are NOT al-queda --we are not trying to hurt anyone--why also would the person who made the comment about people leaving the catholic church for non-dem. even say that if they are a Christian ??? Do you think that is what Jesus would want? As long as you are a good, kind loving person that is what Jesus wants even if you choose to be athiest William Hays just be a good person to everyone and you will feel happy and content. It doesn't matter what church you go to --p.s. I will say a rosary for you even if you don't want me to
