Microsoft Exec Pelted With Eggs
The Guardian has an article about Microsoft chief executive Steve Ballmer's eventful lecture in Budapest yesterday. Upset that Microsoft had received a government contract, a student stood up, yelled, "Hey you!" and demanded that Ballmer return the contract money. Then he threw eggs at him (they missed) and proceeded to politely file out of the room in his "Microsoft = Corruption" T-shirt. It was a very brief, oddly mild (if messy) attack. And - like all that criticism of Windows Live - it didn't seem to phase Ballmer at all.

Sort of a weak protest in my mind Ada. I'm more in favor of Columbia Univeristy's approach to protesting a speaker....you know storming the stage, verbal threats and shouting a few obscenities at the speaker. Now that's how it's done.
Tossing a few eggs....child's play. Those protesters at this event in Budapest need to spend a Saturday afternoon at Columbia U. and learn how to it right.

4. Why would Steve care? Do you realize how much money he has? That's all Microsoft is about- money. They couldn't care less about what people think of them.

5. I heard on CNBC that the student yelled that Microsoft could have bought Google some time ago, rathar now trying to compete with Google, and that Ballmer appears indecisive for Microsoft's changing position on buying Yahoo.
