Alien Sighting Hyped on 'Larry King Live'
Every time we channel surf past Larry King, he's asking someone something like, "So, string beans really cause cancer, huh?" And then not challenging their crackpot theory at all, except by inviting someone equally daffy to half-heartedly beg to differ. The only person we've seen King really press is Denise Richards, whom he scolded for cursing on her TV show. But this interview with a man claiming to have recorded an alien out his window five years ago lacks even more journalistic integrity than most.
First of all, we aren't allowed to see the video, because "scientists" (ah, yes, them) asked the alien-filmer, Stan Romanek, to keep it secret. But a skeptic who did see it put together an imitation, now on YouTube for $90.
So, why is Romanek getting national news attention? (He's on the front page of CNN.com today.)
All the hyped alien visit and abduction accounts to date have been soundly disproved. Scientists (as opposed to "scientists") have every interest in making contact with extraterrestrials, and most believe there are some out there (although not in Nebraska).
In fact, many groups are offering huge amounts of money to anyone who can prove paranormal activity. (Our favorite, magician James Randi, is offering anyone with actual proof a million dollars.) So why doesn't Stan Romanek take the Randi Challenge rather than fielding softballs from Larry King?
Oh, right.

16. Well I can't find a nice website with the clip, but here is a weird forum with the clip. But the clip is from the news channel, that can be verified.

17. Yeah....that link sucks. Just google "man summons UFOs" and judge for yourself. Ignore me this morning. I'll just go sit over in DD's blog.

18. Larry King should retire. CNN could better use that hour with a question-asking, hardball-playing, watchdog hournalist instead of the lapdog we see now. Then again, what can be expected from CNN? Last time I watched them for more than a few seconds they were doing a fawning piece on Donald Rumsfeld that had me thinking I'd mistakenly tuned in FOX "News".

19. Willet,
What would ET's need pyramids as elaborate guidance beacons for? Shouldn't an advanced race with interstellar travel have some kind of GPS (Galactic positioning system)?

20. Mokele Mbembe : Good point. Also how would those relatively small pyramids function as intersellar travel beacons. You would have to already be in earth orbit before you can see them. Maybe they were the intersellar equivalent of "No Parking," "Handicapped Parking," or "Keep Of The Grass."

21. Are you serious about some of the statement you made or are you just so uninformed on the UFO subject matters that you fake it hoping no one who knows want read what you write. I don't have the time or the inclination to go over everything. So I will address this issue with your reasonable readers.
In the first place UFO abductions have never been thougrouly disproved, when you have a Pulitzer Price wining Professor from Harvard; John Mack(who actually went to and investigated those who were awake and in bed who experienced this (unlike some bloggors I know) came away convinced these sincere people were... guess what ...real UFO entity experiences. As for them not bringing back a piece of the ship. Well I guess these entities are smarter then us...do would think...
