The reviews are in for McCain's speech, and they are not good. We admire the man and respect his service, but has he ever looked more wooden and awkward than he did last night? That weird, gawky smile! That stilted, smug grin!It reminded us of something, but what?
We couldn't put our finger on it for the longest time, but then we realized where we'd seen that look before . . .

1. I would not say John McCain is Mike Dukakis, but I agree his speeches lately have been rather dull and wooden. It just goes to show that not every Senator needs to run for president. McCain's appeal has been his ability to buck up against the GOP when he disagreed with them. He is learning the hard way it is a whole other world when you are the head honcho of that party. McCain not only has to distance himself from unpopular Bush, he has to make a case for a third Republican term. A tall order.

2. Good grief. John McCa..this LOSER from Arizona getting the GOP nomination. Nothing, absolutely NOTHING is more disgusting than this LOSER getting the GOP presidential nomination!
I have been a member of the GOP my entire life and this Democrat butt-kissing LOSER is our nominee? THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!
I can't even listen to this LOSER talk Ada. He spends more time trashing the GOP than Democrats!
What a mess....John McCa....screw it!

3. hey that's almost as good a resemblance as the one I saw earlier between Hilary Clinton and a foot.

4. Both presidential losers.
Dukakis' greatest mistake was riding in an Army tank, wearing a goofy helmet.
McCain's biggest mistake hasn't happened yet, but it surely will.
Willet reminds us that McCain was the BANE of the republicans.... until the other republican candidates showed that they were even less electable than McCain.

5. Captain Negative....I still love Ron Paul, I think he'd be electable if the media had paid any attention to him whatsoever

7. Strados, no doubt about it. Ron Paul was/is the best of the original republican candidates. He has integrity and republicans hate that.
