McCain and Obama Court Women
Are we tired yet of psychoanalyzing Hillary's disgruntled supporters?
No? Okay.
Today Slate has two major headlines about Hillary-supporter-courting and Salon has big stories on whether or not Hillary should be Obama's VP.
On a lighter note, there's this witty Current TV segment by Sarah Haskins on the quasi-desperate courting of women voters by both McCain and Obama.
It is pretty funny to see the candidates' Army Wives name-checking back-to-back.

1. Well, after all the harshness of the Obama/Clinton slugfest, it is good to see some lighter fare with Ms. Haskins. Although I cannot understand the disgruntled Clinton supporters who are now threatening to support McCain in the general election. Their political stances could not be more different, and I believe Hillary pointed that out in her eloquent concession speech.

3. This was hilarious. You know it's funny that in trying to appeal to women for their votes both candidates are being so condescending that women are forced like the rest of us to choose the better of the two mediocres. I didn't want to say "evils" because I genuinely believe known are. But I did want to congratulate you on this post; it was entertaining and very well done. As a sensitive, trusting, man who enjoys watching Army wives, day time talk shows, and has cried during some commercials I would like to commend you on your courage to stand up for what you believe in, you showed the same kind of courage HRC showed during this race, oh wait, I'm not running for anything, well um, let me get off of this site and go get some sleep I have a big day later you know with the NBA finals and celebrating Tiger’s win, but if I ever decide to run for office I will definitely look into some day time talk shows and try really really hard to cry during a commercial or two, God knows that’s what women really care about, not issues like the economy, war, taxes, gas and food prices, and Supreme Court nominations/appointments or complicated stuff like that :-).

4. Enough with the gender wars; there are no "women's or men’s” issues. There are quality of life issues for everyone that need to be addressed. First and foremost is respect for human life from conception to natural death. Without a correct understanding of human dignity this society is doomed. We need a leader that will promote policies that strengthen marriage and family. We need a leader that will address national security, healthcare, environmental concerns, etc. We need a leader that insures our food and goods are safe even if that means banning imports. We need a leader that will reform public education so that our children can compete in the 21st century. We need a leader that understands our constitution and respects separation of powers. We need a leader that places the needs of the country before political expediency.

5. Jane - Banning imports? You mean you don't care for those Chinese products with antifreeze in them that don't have anything to do with your car? Who knew that the Chinese elf baking cookies in a hollow oriental tree was using that nasty green stuff for flavoring? Yuchhh.
