Pat Buchanan has a new way of describing Barack Obama -- exotic. Gee, I wonder if this word is loaded with racial and ethnic implications? On the upside, at least this wasn't on Fox News Channel. It's good to get some diversity.
Here's Pat Buchanan being called out on his absurd description of Obama:

1. I recall the Left Wing LA Times taking the lead by describing Obama as the "Magic Negro".
Paul Sparcello at 12:35PM on Jun 16th 2008
2. I also recall the Obama network MSNBC calling Juan Williams of NPR a "happy Negro". Just an oversight on Cenks part I am sure.

3. 'Exotic' is another attempt to field some new words for the old. I'm old enough to remember the original words, so here's an update and translation for you in case you're not a moldy fig yet.
Exotic -- Mulatto
Baby Mama----Negress
Inexperienced-----Doesn't know his place
Radical--------Uppity
terrorist fist jab--------black power salute
I'm waiting for them to go after his children, soon as they can find a suitable substitute word for 'pickaninny'.

4. Paul, that was Rush Limbaugh. But ,if the LA Times did refer use the language "Magic Negro" ...does that excuse Pat Buchanan from being patently racist with " exotic"? And does PAT think he was fooling with that "defintion"?

Congratulations, MOE. You said it as well as any republican anywhere.
The rest of your party should be very proud, since you're pretty much the only everyman have left except the billionaires you're sockpuppet for.
Your party fits you like a giant negro penis fits your throat.
If MOE is you, vote Republican!

SHHH don't say that your not allowed to speak candidly about race you know better than that. Obama is not "articulate" or "African American" he is BLACK and CHANGE havent you been paying attention to the talking points.
Moe you need to stick to using the words "redneck""bible thumpers" "neocons" "fascists" "rich old white men" "republicans" "christians" and "white bigots" then you wont have to worry about offending anyone. Right Cenk? Your bias sophmore rhetoric is so laughable.

It was just recently that the Left Wing, you old co-worker, came up with a new name for Hillary Clinton, that now famous quote of Randi Rhodes
"Big F--king Whore" was her words right after she had said "What a Whore Geraldine Ferraro is"
Now Cenk, you never told us that one. That is far worse that what has you going after Pat Buchanan.
That Left Wing ex Air America worker sure tops Buchanan, and Rhodes would not apologize.
But, Left Wingers consider themselves the elite, so why apologize.

9. Well, isn't his father Kenyan, and didn't he spend part of his childhood in Indonesia? That's sort of "exotic," isn't it? It doesn't necessarily refer to his being black; "exotic" can refer to other countries or cultures, which would make sense in Obama's case. Just sayin'.
Cecilia at 1:59PM on Jun 16th 2008

Well, you were offended, but look at the reality.
rednecks call themselves that - ask jeff foxworthy. Otherwise, you'd have a point here, but not with the others.
Bible thumpers thump bibles. They're aggressive and radical in their beliefs and want to control you in ways that are in violation of constitutional law and stare decisis.
Many of them deny 20th and 21st century science and exist to censor it in violation of the majority's civil rights.
Read the Wedge document.
Calling them bible thumpers saves having to say that each time, but they are a political entity.
Neocons identify themselves as that name - it's only a pejorative because their philosophies are adjudged treasonous by reasonable conservative people. They have clearcut political ideas that they make no bones about, viz.:
They prefer corporatized privately run governments, unrestrained foreign trade, severely restrained domestic trade, crippling of small business, a single political party, election caging, preemptive strikes to promote their philosophy, which they rebadge as 'freedom' whenever it's profitable.
Fascist is the name of the political philosophy iterated by Mussolini and Gentile in their 1932 manifesto.
It highlights merger of corporation, state and religion and a redefinition of the citizen as exitsting only to serve the state. They shun socialism for the reason it creates a classless society. Mussolini's state must expand and the philosophy calls for a foreign policy of expansion and conquest.
They differ from neoconservatism in that fascistic privatization is nationalistic where with neocons it's global. Neocons do not have the same degree of national pride as fascists. Their concepts of government do not prohibit the owner operatorship of our infrastructure or justice system to be contracted to foreign interests who may in fact be hostile to the United States. (This is so pervasive that even the McSame campaign can't cleanse itself. They have 54 lobbyists with ties to foreign despots and terrorists and they're being paid to promote these entities' interests to the anticipated mcsame bush dynasty.
Dick Cheney, George W. Bush, Donald Rumsfeld, William Kristol, virtually all the advocates of neoconservatism and fascism in America are indeed old, rich and white, and each characteristic is significant to their personal self assessments and their philosophies of government. this is prima facie.
Moreover, their philosophy of government elevates the old rich and caucasian in many many ways. This is nothing new. This type of elitism is straight from Russell Kirk by way of Edmund Burke. the philosophy of republicanism has always been one of some type of elitism or the other.
One transgression of old white people is that under deregulation since Reagan, CEO's all sit on each other's boards. Most are old, rich and white, and their compensation is detached from performance under current law.
These are codes for political philosophies, and not in any way ad hominem. If rednecks didn't refer to themselves as that, you might have a point there, but the other names identify politico-religious positions.
People are becoming aware of what fascism and libertarianism really are thanks to people like Keith Olbermann and Thom Hartmann among others, and they've had decades of American history to demonstrate how these elements can infiltrate into government and pervert it to their purposes.
So there's a substantive issue at hand behind every one of those so-called pejorative terms. They are still against the philosophies and groups of influential people. Obama's attacks are pure racist and ignore any political philosophy.
Big difference.

11. "Exotic" as defined in Webster's encyclopedic unabridged dictionary, "of foreign origin or character; not native; introduced from abroad, but not fully naturalized or acclimated".
I'd say Buchanan nailed it!
Bobby at 2:18PM on Jun 16th 2008
12. #5 - MOE, go wash your white besheets. They are looking worse for the wear - as is your hateful rhetoric. Too bad George Wallace is dead - no doubt you would want to prop the old guy up as your candidate.

13. >>>Well, you were offended, but look at the reality.

To be equally absurd,, blacks call each other "niggas". Chris Rock makes a living of it plus demeaning women as "ho's".
Freedom of speech is especially meaningful when it's a one way street & typical of those who preach "tolerance" as a way of life...

14. That Left Wing ex Air America worker sure tops Buchanan, and Rhodes would not apologize.

It was in a comedy club and it was inside some adult standup patter you didn't include. Those who saw it thought it was pretty funny, I've heard.
Nonetheless, Air america separated from Rhodes even though they weren't in any way involved with her booking in the night club. She was immediately hired by another group, her ratings are higher than they used to be at AA, and she's on my radio from 1 to 4 pm weekdays.
Buchanan doesn't need to apologize for anything. He tried calling Obama a 'radical' and 'exotic' and got a wedgie from everyone else on the panel. He was roundly ridiculed.
He's trying to find new ways of saying 'uppity' and 'mulatto'. Pat also says in his way that Obama doesn't mind his place - he's an 'upstart' or 'inexperienced'.
Pat's demographic appeal isn't too impressive except among the hyperreactive fringe elements like who post here, a single digit proportion of voters, and people who love Hitler as much as Pat does, which is considerably more than Winston Churchill according to his latest 'history' book. Pat thinks Hitler was 'misunderstood' which he said repeatedly on a recent radio interview.
Pat's as irrelevant as the turtle on a lily pad candidate with the rich pet owner - bill slowski mcsame.

15. I have been scanning this blogger and comments, as well as a few others on the internet, and I have noticed a bit of curious duplicity. The candidate Obama’s running platform appears to be that of “unity” and bringing all individuals together. However the supported bloggers as well as commenter’s are entrenched in deriding the opposing political side. The one common inquisition that I have is; if this candidate represents your views, then why are you not joining the “unity” and “change” beliefs of your candidate? Instead we witness pigeonhole comments like “You said it as well as any republican anywhere” and tasteless innuendos like “your party fits you like a giant negro penis fits your throat”. I can understand this individual making these comments is not a representation of anyone but himself and perhaps a few other trendy ideologist, however as an independent that leans more democrat this blog and commenter’s is an discomfiture to the party as a whole. I am not here to entertain the rebuttal of “the right does it so why cant we” as well as the predictive justification of excusing tasteless behavior by inciting other behaviors.
