John Leguizamo and I are both half Colombian, so I knew we'd really hit it off. By the way I don't think my Spanish is that bad...

1. Aw Mo,
I really loved J.L. as Tybalt Capulet.
Where I live, anyone who speaks Spanish is assumed to come from a small island in the Carribbean.
Thank you for deconstructing that myth.
Actually, you speak perfect Spanish: Harvard Spanish. You may want to pick up a little "slang" though.

Now, as to your vacation.
Wait, Wait: Before you tell us where you went...
give us a teaser photo or a riddle, a la Lauer.
It might be fun to guess.
From what you gave us so far, a small dog and a lack of the language, I would guess you went to...
PARIS!

2. I was always a fan of J.L, but he seemed very caustic in this interview. Maybe he was trying to be funny and/or some sort of foil, but he came across to me as a bit rude. I'm sure he's a nice guy though; it's probably just my interpretation.
As a Puerto-Rican, (who actually does *not* like reggaeton) I can say that Mo's Spanish is really not that bad (and certainly not "terrible"). I've noticed that your pronounciation is a lot better when you are confident (which is often the case with anyone who is learning a language). Keep it up, Mo!

3. I'll be nice.....but!
get the creme rinse out, we're splitting hair!
seems he was having trouble with English too..:)
sassy dancing, Mo!

4. Aw Mo,

I really need to brush up on my Spanish. It really is atrocious.
Blayze at 5:49PM on Jun 17th 2008
6. Mo, if you're spanish is bad, mine is like total mierda.
Mahlia at 6:16PM on Jun 17th 2008
7.
Ew... He's an arrogant little beastie, & his attempt @ deapan humor/sarcasm falls flatter than a tortilla.
..."@ least you have the vocabulary..."
Yeah.
Yum.
I'll have to remember that 1 to use on my ex-Frog's attorney.
Condescending, in the very least.

mo-NEEK-a at 10:05PM on Jun 17th 2008
9. Que lastima!
Alright, John was a bit of a jerk but hey, I think that's why most people like the guy. He's usually a jerk in his movies, cierto?
Blayze at 1:01AM on Jun 18th 2008
10. I loved his stage show "Freak". He really is talented. However, he seemed intimidated by Mo. Ah well, who wouldn't be after witnessing that high kick?! Next interview....the Rockettes?
Gabrielle at 10:59AM on Jun 18th 2008
11. Umm...was I watching a different interview than everyone else? How was JL a jerk? I think we've become too used to the faux syrupy "I like you-I really like you" style celebrity interview that is about as authentic as Madonna's British accent. JL is as he is; sharp, witty with a little NY edge and I think Mo rolled with it wonderfully well. All I can say is...Te amo Leguizamo!

12. Aw C'mon folks:
What I'm hearing is "...if I went on an interview by Mo Rocca, I'd be as cool as a cucumber."
I think J.L. was trying to match Mo's intellect and intensity. Some of the time that comes off as a bit forced, as in 50% of my blog comments, or 85% of Blayze's.
I remember when David Letterman sat down with Jay Leno. Or some variation thereof. Dave said words to the effect "Wow, I feel like we really have to be funny." The tension was exquisite.

13. in a way,you're right J.G.(but,more like 62.7%)
I'd be fine and cool as a cuke, but if Mo were to execute a "Rocca High Kick"----
..I'd probably take the ball and go home.....
can't top that!
(had to watch it again just for the kick)
and~~~
I like best, how Dennis Leary pulls of the smart aleck interviewee...

14.
I found it extremely 'Napoleonic'.
Forgot to say that in my previous post.
Fact is, Mr. Rocca is a full head taller, & I think the little beastie wanted to compete.
We could have just let him pee on a fire hydrant w/ Nixon, far as....

15. Mo, you're Spanish is no where near 'gringo' Spanish -- what JL was demonstrating after hearing you speak your very good Spanish.
