Mo Rocca appears on a bunch of shows, including CBS News Sunday Morning (with the indescribably wonderful Charles Osgood), The Tonight Show on NBC, and NPR's Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me! He's a sometime judge on Iron Chef and was featured on Telemundo's Amore Descarado. Last year he starred on Broadway in the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. These poor people just wanted to return to a simpler way of life and mind their own business. The attrocities committed upon them by our police state is no joking matter. 68. This bit is very post-modern. Mo's playing with our desire to laugh and our moral respect for other people's deeply held beliefs.
However, I am consciously trying to avoid respecting insane systems of belief. I allowed myself to enjoy the bit because this manipulative religion leads inevitably to abuse of these women (their dress is the tip of the iceberg) and their children. Texas should be applauded for stopping this sham created by abusive men. That's what polygamy is, despite what some of its victims might have convinced themselves.

To #8 ROSE10621, What's cruel is forcing people to look this way. I fully agree that they dress the way they do to not appear attractive to other men. Everything about these whacko’s is centered around abuse and control of other people. I.e., a few degenerates controlling and abusing women and children, and hiding it all under the pretext of religion to avoid criticism and punishment - a western version of the Taliban. The kindest thing we can do for these people is to expose this sham for what it is.
