Fox News reports, with barely disguised pleasure: The Rev. Jesse Jackson apologized Wednesday for saying Barack Obama is "talking down to black people" during what Jackson thought was a private conversation before a FOX News interview Sunday.
Jackson was speaking to a guest at the time about Obama's speeches in black churches and his support for faith-based charities. Jackson added before going live, "I want to cut his nuts off."
The weird, violent remark was picked up by a live mic.
Some questions arise: How is Jackson not more media savvy than to make such a crude remark while wearing a microphone? Is this a desperate cry for help? Aren't Democratic party leaders supposed to avoid expressing the desire to castrate their candidate until he's elected, especially on FOX News?
Jackson's already apologized to Obama and publicly. He says he fully supports Obama and that he'd like to quickly "get this behind me."
Good luck with that.

2. Is it any surprise that Mr. ("Hymie-Town", "I Spit in the soups of white people", Who's the daddy!?) Jackson might say something which contradicts his holier than thou image?
Black and liberal people hurt their own cause when they rally around this hateful, lying hypocrite.

3. I think Jackson is a little scared of Obama after his fathers day speech telling guys to "man up". It trumps Jacksons victim based message.

4. If Obama is elected, Jackson's ability to extort money from American business will be reduced. Jackson's ability to control the flow of tax dollars supporting "faith based" entities will be lessened in an Obama presidency. Same applies to Sharpton. Lets admit it they are both jealous.
However, having said that, the problem is not that Obama talks down to black people, this elitist talks down to all of us. P.T. Barnum must have a smile on his face about Obama's skill at hustling a political party into nominating him with zero qualifications and then staring the media down with race card, if they dare question him.

Gotta love those christians...
They've mellowed over the centuries - I guess you could say that cutting somebody's balls off isn't as bad as setting them on fire.

6. Being a lifelong Chicago resident I am aware of Mr. Jackson policies and his desire to keep the black race right where is...at a disadvantage. For if that ceases to be then so will his reign.
As far as castrating Senator Obama perhaps he might have explored that option before he fathered an illegimate child and to take it one step further he should be absolutely ashamed of his "unreverend" mouth. He is a disgrace to his race and the city.

7. Jesse Jackson is a fraud and always has been. Obama if elected will make the politics of victimization that Jesse and his co horts live for irrelevant once and for all. Jesse is fighting tooth and nail to remain important and relevant and will say or do whatever is necessary to be needed by black americans.

8. So if you're Jesse Jackson and you're still smarting over the reaction by Obama supporters to the comment Bill Clinton made and, perhaps, you're seeing yourself as being eclipsed by Obama after all the years you put in AND you wanted to say something about it, but not directly...
Where would you choose to make that indirect statement so that you could be assured it wouldn't be squelched by an overprotective media outlet?
Why FOX, of course.

10. We are all aware that the Obama Campaign uses the race card anytime it is convenient for the Obama Campaign, as it usually always benefit's none other then the Obama campaign. This is just another example of another long time Obama cohort { Reverend Wright, Father Pfleger, and now Jesse Jackson } making racial statements to deflect attention away from a very problematic time in the Obama campaign. By Jesse Jackson taking this hit in the media,he is getting all the media's attention off of all the talk of Obama breaking his major campaign promises, in particular The FISA Bill, which Obama had promised his supporters that he would against and decided to vote for the FISA BILL.Yes he has broken another major campaign promise, and has had a very tough week or two, as he has been taking a lot of heat from the media, and even his own supporters. To "deflect" the attention away from Obamas political inexperience, and his FISA Vote yesterday, It is just a little to convenient for The Obama Campaign, headed by Jesse Jackson JR. by the way, that comments made by Jesse Jackson Sr. made Sunday suddenly broke yesterday.Just after Obamas key vote supporting President Bush's FISA Bill that had been threatening to break even Obamas staunchest of supporters. As of yesterday Obama was being criticized daily by media outlets and supporters alike, about the many flip flops made by the Candidate of Hope and Change, and now even Jesse Jr. came to Obamas defense "Ripping" Jesse Sr's words, thus successfully deflecting the media attention away from Obamas Hard move to the right! Well played Camp Obama. Now all the pundit's are talking about is Jesse Jackson not Barack Obama. This is not the Politics of Change, nor is it mere Politics as usual, This is the Politics of Obama. If anyone would like to see how deeply Jesse Jackson is planted in the Obama campaign, go to C-Span and watch the JUNE 29 TH Rainbow Coalition tapes, where you can watch Jesse Jackson and other African American leaders planning the first 30 day's of The Obama presidency. To bad that it has not been reported how Jesse Jackson Jr. has been treating any elected delegates that did not support Obama thru out this election season.

11. Jesse, of course is/was a somewhat successful advocate for black human rights. Not as successful as MLK, but worthwhile, nevertheless. As a politician he was an abject failure. What he doesn't get is the fact that Barack intends to be a successful politician. He cares not about being a black leader, which would most assuredly defeat his political ambitions. He is aware that if he is to build upon the legacy of black leadership provided by the (reverends) King and Jackson, et al, he must be someone who can lead the entire nation, and must concentrate less on the parochial civil rights agenda. What Jesse perceives as Barack's condescention towards blacks, Barack perceives as an opportunity to lift us all, black and white.

13. Obama's "talking down to black people"? Well, maybe now Jesse understands how us gun-clinging,
Bible-clinging bitter white people feel.

15. Ada:
You never fail to baffle me with your inconsistent situational ethics. You're constantly criticising Christians -- I suppose for being too conformist, although you've never really laid out what your specific beef is -- and just when we see an example of one going against the norm you bash him for being a loose cannon.
I guess you have no problem with conformity -- as long as it comes from the Democratic Party's talking points.
