16. It doesn’t matter what Obama says now. Not only did he say the The Surge would not work, he said it would make it worse. (I knew and was posting 15 months ago that The Surge was working. One only had to read MNF-Iraq to see the daily progress.)
In addition to saying the U. S. should not stay in the middle of a civil war (like hell it was)he said they shouldn’t stay to prevent genicide.
He now claims that he always said the timing of withdrawal should be governed by the safety of American troops and and the stability of Iraq.
He is an audacious liar who hasn’t got a clue how to defend American against Islamofascism. He deserves to be ridiculed.

17. The whole, Iraq situation will change. Israel says it will attack Iran if the U.S. doesn't. The neocons say that Governor bush will attack Iran if the republicans see that Obama is going to win.
Either way, the Middle East will become what someone termed a, "fireball." American troops will not be leaving the Middle East for a long time to come.
It doesn't really matter, at this point, what Obama says. It is more a matter of what forces outside his control decide to do.

18. I seem to recall a certain candidate running
as a uniter/centrist,then once elected,took
his admin far to the right.
And the true believers (some of whom are posting
here today)followed.

19. The danger of an Obama move to the center is it highlights his political inexperience. Obama is a Democrat. Nothing more and nothing less. Moving to the middle like a "Flip-flop" makes him look like he's not proud of the opposing positions he took against this admininstration. There's nothing wrong with being a Democrat. Introducing a new label or a new brand of politics this late in the game wouldn't be "Progress" it would be surrender. Progress for the sake of movement isn't progress it's pandering for votes, it's weakness, and it's surrender. Obama is a Democrat.

20. Gotta love it. We have a republican on the dem. ticket and a democrat on the repub. ticket. Sure am glad i am an independant. Obama only needs to come back from iraq and say he will stay there...which he will. he will then officially be running the third bush term...LMAO.

22. JFK and Hussein Obama
I see many of the Hussein backers keep comparing him to a great US president, JFK. Recent comments make comparisons of Hussein Obama's new positions and being much the same as JFK's.
So lets take a look at JFK's qualifications and Hussein Obama's. In his 20's,JFK commanding a PT Boat in the Pacific. In Hussein Obama's 20's, he was busy doing drugs in New York and creating a phoney story of his "being oppressed by the man" before moving to Chicago to learn at the feet of Rev Jeremiah "God Damn America" Wright. By the time JFK ran for President he had 3 terms in Congress and was in his second term in the US Senate. Obama announced his candidacy for President two years after being sworn in as a US Senator.
Jfk had written a best seller book that had started out as his thesis and was written about the FOLLIES OF APPEASEMENT. Obama by contrast penned a whiny memoir with hate for white people and himself. Where JFK's book served to establish his credentials on national policy, Obama's book was ment to make us feel sorry for him.
Obama is running on his biography, but the problem is he doesn't have one. At the center of this is Obama's ego. He has thrown many of his mentor's under the train, starting with Alice Palmer, the woman who gave him his start in politics before he stabbed her in the back and took her seat to the Rev Wright, who legitimized an ambitious half white and quarter black Muslim wannabe that helped his rise to power.
Where JFK was a flawed leader. Obama isn't a leader at all. Where JFK had a record, Obama barely shows up. Where JFK was concerned with policy, Obama is concerned with self esteem.
Obama has proclaimed himself as the Messiah of Hope and Change without the ability or experience to deliver any of it.
Obama is moving to the Center to appear as a Moderate Democrat and not a Progressive Liberal Democrat that he really is, just to win more votes.
Obama is a phoney, a wold in sheep's clothing. No matter what Obama does, he will never be a JFK Moderate Democrat.

24. Obama hasn't moved on Iraq.
I saw a tape from the pre primary debates where he iterated his exact same position as today, which incidentally aligns with Maliki and the democrats' intention to withdraw, so whatever mcsame's position in the last fifteen minutes, it's going to either have to align with this ever solidifying fact or he'll have to find some excuse to validate further occupation that isn't 'well, this whole invasion was about the oil and we're not about to give it up'.
As to the fisa vote, it defuses any republicanist boilerplate over patriotism or 'national security' and it places NOTHING beyond reach after the elections.
What it does is prevent any further ability of the executive branch to get around the fisa court.
It RETAINS the ability of the government to prosecute the commcos for unlawful conduct, thus preserving the majority of the 4th amendment, but.
It will not permit plaintiff action against the commcos or the government in civil litigation, but this can be addressed again. The benefit is not just recovery by damaged parties but ability to obtain evidence of criminality against members of the administration in soliciting their cooperation. Game not over.
As to faith based funding, if it's for charitable works and not all given to fundamentalists, it's hard to argue against.
There isn't any shift to center but there is a corporate media that needs to profit so they'll tell you there is.
And in the overall scheme of things, I would like to see the blue dogs eventually sent on to another party. This country is way out of kilter compared to how it ran under Eisenhower or Kennedy - it's like the 1880's meets 1929 these days.

Some of it came from here but obama was changed to 'hussein obama, etc. so it was taken from here or a similar source and modified more. It's just a run of the mill right wing hate and distortion blog.

If any of you wondered what the term 'DITTOHEAD' means, wonder no longer.
If you want to find out what their source is, just copy and paste a paragraph like they did the whole article but into google and you can retrodiscover the pathway.
That's what their vote's worth.
It's up to the reader to figure out what they get out of it. I think it's that republicans give permission for indulging in hatred and taking the moral low road in exchange for the vote but maybe there's more.
