Well Clif, who owned it? Was Saddam just holding it for a friend? Another not so genius remark -"low grade, usable for nuclear power, not weapons." Yellowcake is used to make enriched urainium. Otherwise its useless for anything but a cheap "dirty bomb." Maybe you should stick to what you know or refer to the Obama-Little Girl joke because on this, you don't know s*it.

78. You call them the young turks. I call them the young TURKIES. These morons will believe anything Sheik Obama says. College educated? They don't have enough common sense to come in out of the rain. Their quality education was like Obamas, In the front door and out the back door.Educated in the same manner as this idiot we have in office now.

"The fact that so many rank and file Republicans are unaware of PNAC as a non-conspiratorial and non-secret organization/plan, serves to underscore how so many Americans turn a blind eye toward what their party is up to and this can also apply to Democrats when we gain the Whitehouse."
I looked the thing over last night. It's interesting and you're right that it doesn't appear to be of the shrouded conspiracy variety.
Taken at face value, it appears rather damning.
Yet in all the years its been around and available for use by those who've opposed the Bush administration, it's never been brought up in any significant fashion, by any significant opponent - to my knowledge.
Contrary to what I know some here believe, there are plenty of people in the mainstream media who regularly take the Bush administration to task for all sorts of things and make a much bigger deal out of stuff that's a lot less significant than this appears to be. And yet this thing never comes up.
There has been 1 bitterly contested presidential election since the war in Iraq began. And this thing never came up (in any noticeable way, if t all) during that.
There have been congressional elections, in which Democrats used whatever they could to tie Republican candidates to the Bush administration and to highlight the faults of the administration itself. Yet, to my knowledge, this thing never came up.
There has to be a reason for that.

then run with it, genius.
I just listen to the news and evaluate how the corporate nets react to it. This was covered repeatedly and there are no alarms, not even from fox.

Where any issue is either zero or 10 with you, I have fortunately spent time and education on creating a gain control. In short, I try to exercise a little judgment.
Everything is not black and white single input to me, nor is it for most people who would pass voire dire, for example.
If I discuss a political issue, I bring the same standards to it.
If you think you have some real life smoking gun, wait and see if the world agrees with you.
I'm telling you that they won't and you will eventually have to admit I'm right or create another gap between yourself and reality.
I know enough chemistry to understand the osmotic accumulation process for UF6 and it was in fact something I was tested on, probably in chem 101.
If you think you know more than I do about refinement of uranium from pitchblende on to yellow cake and from there into one of the two processes that will yield fissionable material, let 'er rip.

81. Disclosure: this is a cut & paste job from Time dating back to March of '03 I just discovered summarizing the danger we knew of 5 yrs ago. It's a condensed short read of Iranian ambitions beyond diplomacy..
>>With war in Iraq looming and North Korea defiantly pursuing its own nuclear program, the last thing President Bush needs is another nuclear crisis. But that is what he may soon face in Iran. On a visit last month to Tehran, International Atomic Energy Agency director Mohamed ElBaradei announced he had discovered that Iran was constructing a facility to enrich uranium — a key component of advanced nuclear weapons — near Natanz. But diplomatic sources tell TIME the plant is much further along than previously revealed. The sources say work on the plant is "extremely advanced" and involves "hundreds" of gas centrifuges ready to produce enriched uranium and "the parts for a thousand others ready to be assembled."
Iran announced last week that it intends to activate a uranium conversion facility near Isfahan (under IAEA safeguards), a step that produces the uranium hexafluoride gas used in the enrichment process. Sources tell Time the IAEA has concluded that Iran actually introduced uranium hexafluoride gas into some centrifuges at an undisclosed location to test their ability to work. That would be a blatant violation of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, to which Iran is a signatory.
The IAEA declined to comment. A senior State department official said he believed El Baradei was trying to resolve the issue behind the scenes before going public. But experts say the new discoveries are very serious and should be handled in public. "If Iran were found to have an operating centrifuge, it would be a direct violation [of the non-proliferation treaty] and is something that would need immediately to be referred to the United Nations Security Council for action," says Jon Wolfstahl of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. Iran insists that its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes and told elBaradei that Tehran intends to bring all of its programs under IAEA safeguards. U.S. officials have said repeatedly they believe Iran is pursuing nuclear weapons.
The new discoveries could destabilize a region already dangerously on edge in anticipation of war in Iraq. Israel — which destroyed an Iraqi nuclear plant in Osirak in a 1981 raid — is deeply alarmed by the developments. "It's a huge concern," says one Israeli official. "Iran is a regime that denies Israel's right to exist in any borders and is a principal sponsor of Hezbollah. If that regime were able to achieve a nuclear potential it would be extremely dangerous." Israel will not take the "Osirak option" off the table, the official says, but "would prefer that this issue be solved in other ways."
The revelations come at a particularly bad time for Washington, which is locked in a battle to gain U.N. approval for an attack on Iraq and to build consensus among its allies for a multilateral approach to the crisis in North Korea. Critics of the Administration say Bush's hard public line against the so-called "Axis of Evil," combined with the threatened war with Iraq, have acted as a spur to both Iran and North Korea to accelerate their nuclear programs. "If those countries didn't have much incentive or motivation before, they certainly did after the Axis of Evil statement," says one western diplomat familiar with the Iranian and North Korean programs. The Administration counters that both programs have been underway for many years.>>>
The present administration instead of employing the Clintonesque "head in sand" theory has destroyed, diluted, or gained a compromise from 2/3 of the "axis of evil".
Remind yourself this article dated 5 yrs ago was a precursor to the concerns of Israel & the United States then that are being exacerbated today by mindless rhetoric & rattling of sabres by Iranian heads of state & two successive days of long range missile test firing.
There is simply no defense of this...

82. bob, there is nothing funny about the PNAC. Nothing at all.
No matter who is responsible for the, "New Pearl Harbor," 9-11 was the catalyst (excuse)for all that followed. And all that followed was laid out in the PNAC.
A number of prominent conservative "ideaologues" singed on to the PNAC. Did they all know what would happen? Obviously not. Are they all co-conspirators? Obviously not. But the plan outlined in the PNAC is happening. That is an indisputable fact.
You may have studied the PNAC enough to know that it was written during the Clinton Administration.
If you consider it a coincidence that Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld are signators of a plan which unfolded during the bush-cheney junta, I can't do anything about it.
My time would be better spent helping O.J. find the real killers than trying to show republicans what is happening before their very eyes.
I believe it was Uncle Meat who first said something like, "republicans don't do nuance."

85. The media, who once basked in the 'glow' of Obama, are now saying that glow is fading. Why? Because they, and other Obamians, are waking up and putting things together. He votes on issues and then makes speeches that are completely opposite of how he voted. (Could he be related to John Kerry?). The right doesn't want him, the center is still wondering who the hell he is and, after Hillary"s defeat, he is all the left has. He is desperate and brown-nosing America for the sake of winning. Forget how he really feels about issues, he is demonstrating that he wants to win 'by any force necessary' even to leave behind those responsible for his nomination win. It is no wonder why the Palestinian terrorist group, Hamas' leader is saying he hopes Obama wins the election. The terrorist groups are afraid of McCain because they know he means business. Obama has no experience and no accomplishments to show that he can protect America in case of another 9/11. Even Bin Laden has warned and promised that soon, he will launch another attack. America's safety was the biggest issue when Bush was reelected and will always be the most important issue.

john mcsame is ten for one on that issue compared to obama. I wouldn't try that, DENA..

87. "The media, who once basked in the 'glow' of Obama, are now saying that glow is fading."
If true, bad news for him.
Obama draws much of his support from two groups that are notorious for not showing up when it counts - election day.
The youth vote has been a disappointment election after election. This "shift to the center" (political as it may be) may have the effect of damping some of the enthusiasm in that sector, as generated by the "Change" campaign.
The African American vote has been much the same. While the recent incident involving Jesse Jackson is more a case of sour grapes than one of chopped nuts, it might also be an indication that there is a growing generational division in that sector. If some of the initial enthusiasm for an African American candidate dies down due to a growing concern that he's selling out, that could have a significant effect on the number of African American voters that actually show up on election day.
There's probably no legitimate reason to believe either group is gong to cross over to the other side. But if the enthusiasm can't be maintained from now until election day amongst voting sectors that are unreliable at best, Obama may not have the cakewalk to the Presidency many think he has.
Even against a relatively weak candidate like McCain.

88. My bad. I reposted by accident. Everyone of Obama's fundraisers are either corrupt politicians, former PLO, domestic terrorists bill ayers and his bitch, Auchi, who was Sadaam Hussein's weapons trader, Rezko, who is a political fixer, Soros, who is one of the many of Obama's puppetmasters, etc... The list keeps growing, not to mention, Wright, Louis Farrakhan, Quadaffi.... He is everything unAmerican and he is racist. He is the most ruthless liberal alive. Woe to America if this idiot wins. He said he would cut spending on intelligence, and virtually disarm our military. It is not impossible that he was sent here to infiltrate our country through the government to lower our defences and open the gate for attack. He is obvious. Go to youtube and type in obama, rezko and other links and you will add it all up.
