George W. Bush is a historic embarrassment that will forever stain the legacy of American democracy. Listen to short clips from his press conference yesterday and see if you can make it through a couple of minutes without averting your eyes:
I always come back to the same point because it is the one that makes the biggest difference. The press failed us. This man was always stupid -- and glaringly so. The press needed to tell the American people that the emperor had no clothes on. Instead they spent so many years covering his ass. That's how this imbecile was elected a second time. It was great failing of the press, while they thought they were being "neutral." Your job isn't to be neutral, it's to be objective.
A neutral sports reporter would be laughed out of the press box. The Cowboys beat the Giants 42-10. The neutral reporter says they both played fine. The objective reporter says the Cowboys kicked ass and the Giants sucked. Report the score!
A neutral reporter says John McCain and Barack Obama are both fine candidates who represent a change from George W. Bush. An objective reporters says that John McCain's policy proposals are nearly identical to George W. Bush's. They agree on at least 95% of the issues.
You don't have to say John McCain sucks, that's an opinion. But you do have to say that he is nearly a carbon copy of Bush. That's a fact. If you don't report that, then you are not doing your job of informing the American people. That's how we get incompetent presidents like George W. Bush -- because the press was too scared to report the obvious truth.

16. Since it's your obsession to brand McCain repeatedly as McSame, McBush, a clone or carbon copy the burden of proof is on your side of the court. Please dig your readers up 17 other issues of which they only disagree on one.
An objective reporter could do so....

Actually the burden of proof is already made to exhaustion. It's prima facie and available from the sources themselves. It's your duty to get up to speed with it.
Ed Schultz' website will have 27 major similarities to the mcsame/bush incorporation, but I know a lot without going there, and they are the most important issues to a lot of us.
First, he has voted 100% in line with Bush this year, but he has been absent a lot lately.
Last year it was 95%.
Some that you may already know about are continuing the tax breaks for the wealthiest, no change in free trade, occupation of iraq, doing what bush did to iraq to iran, he's worse than bush on health care since his plan will probably destroy group rates given he'll remover employers' tax breaks for offering insurance, ability of corporations to move headquarters to offshore post office drops to stop paying american taxes, lowering of corporate taxes, against closing the enron loophole, against the gi bill, was against minimum wage, against legal abortion, against troop funding for better armor, he's an admitted supply side economist, meaning he's ok with non enforcement of anti monopoly laws, against schip, for bailout of bear stearns, I'm going to stop now.
This is prima facie stuff. It's in front of you on the major news networks day in and day out. You have no right to demand proof of prima facie material except of yourself, and it is a duty, not a right.
OK, now how do you think bush and mccain are different? Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof.

17. I should have remembered this - he called the SC's restoration of the right of habeas corpus to US citizens the 'worst piece of legislation in American Hisotry'. I do NOT want that man's finger anywhere near a trigger!

So Gary, how do you like having your service in Iraq equated with Cenk's vacation?

19. Toodles.

hey, toodles, wasn't your task to refute what I said, viz. to debunk the idea that the mcbush is following Obama's lead in military strategy? Y
ou got sidetracked again. Everything I told you was factual and you whiffed it. The mcbush was against everything Obama said the instant he saidc it, but now they're doing it! If being against was also a flipflop, that just cements the mcbush even more firmly. Flipped if you do, flopped if you don't...
Your other task was to separate the mcbush, was it not?
and instead you justified the mcbush positions and called me a big poopyhead for not liking it.
Results?
McCain=Bush
Obama's military strategy + about 30 days = McBush's military strategy.
They are already talking about adopting the Obama position on withdrawal, too, aren't they? Al Maliki approves, too. Flop your way outta that.

Nothing to spin there, Bob.
They're your words copied just as you posted them.

An apology to Gary for your crass comparison.

24. Obama brings out his magic wand again
Obama has again wiped clean a portion of his forever changing web site.
Obama was dead against the surge, it would never work, would only make matters worse.
Well it worked, worked great.
Obama had a problem. His website stated how much he was against the surge. Well it DID.
Obama thus did a flip flop on his web site, his negative comments about the surge are now history. Cannot read it on his web site ever again, or at least till he changes his mind again.

Being a vet gives Gary no immunity to snarky
retorts from me or anyone else here when it was he
who opened the door to it with his snide remark
toward Cenk.
If he were to make a snide remark that you didn't

I'm betting no.
