George W. Bush is a historic embarrassment that will forever stain the legacy of American democracy. Listen to short clips from his press conference yesterday and see if you can make it through a couple of minutes without averting your eyes:
I always come back to the same point because it is the one that makes the biggest difference. The press failed us. This man was always stupid -- and glaringly so. The press needed to tell the American people that the emperor had no clothes on. Instead they spent so many years covering his ass. That's how this imbecile was elected a second time. It was great failing of the press, while they thought they were being "neutral." Your job isn't to be neutral, it's to be objective.
A neutral sports reporter would be laughed out of the press box. The Cowboys beat the Giants 42-10. The neutral reporter says they both played fine. The objective reporter says the Cowboys kicked ass and the Giants sucked. Report the score!
A neutral reporter says John McCain and Barack Obama are both fine candidates who represent a change from George W. Bush. An objective reporters says that John McCain's policy proposals are nearly identical to George W. Bush's. They agree on at least 95% of the issues.
You don't have to say John McCain sucks, that's an opinion. But you do have to say that he is nearly a carbon copy of Bush. That's a fact. If you don't report that, then you are not doing your job of informing the American people. That's how we get incompetent presidents like George W. Bush -- because the press was too scared to report the obvious truth.

61. "Take me for example. I don't need your email address. I already know where you are. You just never know who is who these days and what kind of resources they have. But being a person who is in love with his Faith of Christianity, I would never intentionally hurt anyone unless it was for defensive purposes.
Now imagine if you were the person that had my resources? My goodness.

Holy, moley.
Did you hear that?
Botts has been "born again" !
The individual who commonly posted on DD's blog about how Christianity "dumbs down" people.
Now all that has to happen is for GHB to see the light. We may be on the verge of a new dawn. Maybe "AL" will get the nomination after all !!

62. M2D5,
How ya doin?
I'm still the same Botts that posts on Dinesh's blog.
If you would read my posts, you would no where I stand and what my views are based on my experiences and knowledge.
The versions of Chrisitanity taught especially here "dumb down" it's members for the purpose of control. They teach them to fear everything outside of the Church, and because of this, the members are divisive, hateful, judgmental and anything else associated with it.
I'm not part of a religion. That is man made. I've never been part of one.
I simply try to follow Christ's Teachings, which is follow the first two commandments, and by doing so, everything else in your life takes shape.
My first goal as a Christian is to always witness to other self proclaimed Christians. Dinesh's blog is a wonderful avenue for me to do so. So many of the posters are totally lost in what is really taught. I will speak the truth and it will hurt their ego, but it is what it is.
We don't condemns people to hell. We don't judge accept to the people that preach to us in the name of God. We don't hate Homosexuals or judge them. We don't hate the people that perform abortions or get abortions. We don't hate muslims and in fact we tend to study other faiths.
At least, I'm speaking for the Christians that follow the way I do.
Unfortunately, we are a minority.

religion aside, I remember something you said earlier this year about the "mortgage balloon"
problem, at that time was just the tip of the iceberg. Bigger surprises were due, come this autumn.
Looks they are running a little bit ahead of your previous timetable.

66. Botts - Your self-styled Christianity is very confusing. I've looked, but I can't find any verses in the Bible where Jesus used the "F" word.
Cap - For you to describe somebody as a "moron", without sufficient reason means you've lost it, once again. And I may not be perfect, but I don't think I'm ruining the country. I'd say rampant cynicism is a heck of a lot more corrosive than anything I'm promulgating.

I would have to say that the opposite is true.
But having said that,I would say that conservatives
and neoconism have done much more damage to America
than "terraists" could ever hope to.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I believe the F word was first used by Puritans
as a short version of "Flagrant Use of Carnal
Knowledge".
Picture a guy locked in stocks for the crime of
adultery for example.
The sign alerting the townspeople of his crime
would say FUCK.
That would be the signal that it's OK to abuse
the heathen.

Hi Dave,
I never use God's or Jesus' name in vain. Ever.
Nowhere recently have I said fuck. If you're talking about this particular post, I pasted a comment from Steve where he used "fuck" in his language.
In regards to "fuck", that word wasn't coined until much later in the english language.
The Bible wasn't written in English, so you won't find it anywhere.
All the best.

70. M2D5,
Yes I remember. It is coming a little earlier than I had anticipated. I still think we will be in an all out depression by or before 2012. I've seen the numbers, and I know what is going on internationally. I started doing banking instrument trades years ago, and I could see where this was heading in regards to loans and securities. I had access to all of it.
It started with Houses, and it will continue to progress to everything else in our lives.
My warning then still stands now. If you have extra money, whether it's a couple bucks, a hundred bucks or thousands of dollars, start buying Gold, Sugar, and land.
Money in the banks can be lost, and withdrawing your money will be worthless because the money you take out will not be worth anything.
The only way this changes, is if we have a radical change in Government.
Obama will be a good start. He's very smart, and I like where he's going with his economic policies and his views on regulation.
And people have to realize that this isn't anything recent. This is coming to fruition from 30 years ago and the leaders that followed continued getting into bed with corporations and speculators.
During campaigns, there are such things as "Democrats" and "Republicans". But once they are in office, there are no labels. They play us as fools, and we fulfill that label constantly.
They give us two choices where we have to pick one, and both represent the same crap. But this time around, one came through that wasn't supposed to make it. So now they need to scare everyone (fools) with Muslim Talk(as if that's bad), terrorist talk, radical church talk, and so forth.
Our President should be extremely smart and intelligent. He/She should be willing to talk to our enemies and see where we can have peace. War should never happen.

71. Most service men and woman are wonderful people worthy of great respect. However, Gary seems to be the kind of asshole that serves because he wants to think he's important and that the world owes him something. Being a serviceperson does not qualify you to be worshipped. I know a lot of people who serve and they don't throw out the fact that they've just gotten back from Iraq in someone's face just because they said something they don't like. I find it funny that people like Gary who hate anything that doesn't fall in line with their beliefs are the first to claim they are fighting to protect our freedoms.

If Barack Obama is so smart, why did it take him 20+ years to figure our Rev. J-Wright is a hate monger?
If Barack Obama is so honest, why did he make a shady deal with a Convicted Felon/Slum-Lord/Political Fixer to purchase his home?
If Barack Obama is so patriotic, why is he friends with known Domestic Terrorist and Radical Islamic fund raisers?
Barack Obama himself said he sought out the Marxist Professors while in school. Since Barack Obama has an affinity for Marxism, are his economic policies going to favor Marxism?

73. Botts - I don't profess to having a photographic memory, but I'm quite sure I read the "F" word in one of your recent posts. And yes, I did know the Bible wasn't written in English. I also know that scripture says blessings and curses shouldn't proceed out of one's mouth. (James 3:10).

74. Why jump on Mr. Uygur for his comments? The tape of President Bush bumbling comments and responses speaks for itself.
(As they often do)
People on this thread remind me of why R Kelly is a free man today. People can review the tape...
(and yes, I saw the R. Kelly sex tape years ago, before the jury, and yes, it is/was R. Kelly, in his mansion having sex with a teen)
...and still have doubts of a man's guilt or, in this case, stupidity.
Point: It wouldn't matter if the guy on this tape was the President of the United States or my next door neighbor, he's still clueless and maybe even a bit dumb... at best.
MBA aside, "Dave," he remains, quite arguably, an idiot. Assuming he majored in anything, I can assure you, Dave, it wasn't "English," "Business" or "Psychology," of which I aced (A+) by the way- before you ask.
Because he's the President, am I to ignore his (many) intellectual short-comings? Is Mr. Uygur exhibiting his "pride before his fall" by showcasing these short-comings?
No and no.
Mr. Uygur is 100% accurate in his statement that President Bush should've known the price of gas... before I knew them! I would also like to think that the President of the "Free World" should be, at bear-minimum and quite frankly, a genius. And not some politically-privy pawn with a silver spoon (still) hanging from his mouth.
Anyone who defends this President is either on his payroll, *ek-kerm* Democrats, wish they were on his payroll or dim. What he lacks in brains, he makes up for in $.
Legacy: the first President of the United States to go into office a multi-million and leave a multi-billion...
Vroom, Vroom!

75. "I also know that scripture says blessings and curses shouldn't proceed out of one's mouth. (James 3:10)."
Ah Dave, Dave, Dave,
Thank you for your post. Do you know what James 3:10 means?
Saying a curse word (Our Version), isn't cursing or damning someone unless you are intending to.
"You are going to hell". That is cursing someone.
"It is a fucking shame what has happened". This statement is not cursing anyone.
You must know what it means. I don't curse anyone Dave.
Curse words or at least our version of curse words can be used in many different ways. Saying one, doesn't mean you are being a bad Christian. It's how you use it which makes it bad, and that goes for any words really.
I hope I've made you understand a little.
All the Best,
Botts
