32. ATHEIST
Yes, you can make fun of Scientology.
That was the point. It was supposed to be a great joke to see who was gullible.
but then something happened. Scientology grew up and became a Guild for people who want to work in the movies.
like the Writer's Guild. The Screen Actor's Guild. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
you get a job in Hollywood because of your connections... and being a Scientologist gives you a great list of names for your Rolodex.

33. Oh Mo,
I really like this "Something or Something" blog series...
Some of them really got me thinking like "Change or Experience?" and "Daniel Day Lewis or Philip Seymour Hoffman?" and of course everyone's favorite "Boner or Hard-On?"
But now it's like trying to choose between the lesser of two evils... Christian Science or Scientology???
I mean... What's next?
The Guillotine or The Rack?
TMZ or Perez Hilton?
Michael Bolton or Kenny G?
Strychnine or Ricin?
Britney Spears or Amy Winehouse?
Ann Coulter or The Anti-Christ?
These choices are really getting tough, Mo!
But I guess this is the State of the Union lately...
Rocca the Vote '08
P.S. - The Alden/Hank ticket is alive and well. Much like a catfish or snapping turtle, it lies waiting for the right time to strike. And as soon as these discombobulated Democrats can come up with a Presidential nominee and McCain picks a running mate... it will be sooooooo on!

W.C. Fields Forever. Now that's Firesign. But I can't recall the bits from the vinyl I listened to 1973-1985 from which you derive your name. I know it's not "Adolph, your ah,Clemcakes are getting damp."
Viva Miguel Caine. Loved you in Sleuth.

36. I thought Scientology was the new Satanism, per the A I posts a day or two ago. Christian Scientists are the Monitors, per the 1969 movie classic. That newspaper masthed is such a giveaway.
SallyMutant at 12:20AM on Mar 7th 2008
37. It would have to be--shoo!--Scientology because--I said shoo!--because--oh, these damned thetans--because it makes so--get away, dammit--so much sense. Obviously all of our problems are--will you PLEASE go away?--related to the 75 million year-old spirits of aliens who died when other aliens dropped an H-bomb into a volcano. Honey, get the E-meter, will you?

39. I wasn't kidding, you guys!
I meant Cracker. And when I want to say Fucking, I'll say Fucking, not FRICKIN' or any of it booby contraptions.
Why?
Because if I am going to get Pissed Off and am going to use Foul Language, then, I'll do it. I am not a fucking hypocrite... like a certain Christine we all have known and seen.
If my foul language may offend some, I duly apologize, I am known as a polite, gentle and well-meaning person (Mary Richards), but I just cringe when someone uses the race card or the sexuality card, or the gender card to disqualify others, even more so, when they try to disqualify me. And I am against PC. If you cannot say it, then just read it.
I mean no harm, Mo. And if I have offended anyone other than my target, I duly apologize.
Viva Las Roccats, Roccats.

I hear you Miguel! This is a NO CRACKER ZONE by natural default...angry rhetoric against race/gender/sexuality doesn't live long...we Roccats wont tolerate it...we have our ways of
disarmament...that is lasting...and bewitching!
Roccats love Spain and love Miguel...

41. "The words Christian and Science should never be spoken together - a true oxy-moron if there ever was one."
That makes it sound like it would be wrong to say 'many scientists have also been Christians.' However, this is a historical fact. For example, Isaac Newton was both a scientist and a Christian; after doing much of his foundational work on physics he spent much of his life writing a commentary on the Bible. Science and religion need not be mutually exclusive. For further reading on the subject, there is "Rocks of Ages" by the late (non-religious) scientist Steven Jay Gould. http://www.amazon.com/Rocks-Ages-Library-Contemporary-Thought/dp/0345430093

42. Mo is asking the question, very subtly..
"Insane... or even more insane?"
Seems that 'regular' "insane" is the winner!

43. Me thinks I spotted some Rush lyrics...they choose free will obviously. Free will to not be a either... maybe just a Christian scientist. Oxymoron? that is just the trendy thing to say.

Did you hear about the guy who's dianetic?
He has to take insolence to survive.

45. All Hail Lord Zenu - Are you kiddig (Iguesss you are).
Scientology - a fantastic get rich scheme for Lafayette Ron Hubbard
Christian Science - an intellectual sincere faith that has deep moral roots and an open sharing through news reporting - and their reading rooms!!!
