This is a Plum TV video of the girls who photographed the "Montauk Monster," the corpse of indeterminate species that washed ashore in the posh Hamptons. The ladies are clearly gunning for a movie of the week, or at least their very own Cardiff Giant. Gawker has been keeping up a breathless commentary from the start. So, assuming it's a real beast, what do you think it is: racoon, dog, cat, or chupacabra? Here's the photo:

1.
Ada forensics haven't been administered to the corpse at this late date?

3. i really dont care what is or if it is real. so many bogus things like "UFOs" that this stuff bores me.

4. from just that it looks like a corrupt dog corpse with the snout partially broken off. All dogs have some webbing between their toes, and it varies. just a guess, though from the photo.

6. I say cat. But I agree with JetFlyingV, why haven't forensic veterinarians classified it?

7. I think it's a turtle without it's shell. Look at the head and mouth, webbed feet and tail. Print out the pic and draw a shell on it...please. It looks so naked.

8. I think a killer whale bit a sea turtle, cracking and ripping off it's shell, which killed it but the whale was moving too fast to go back for the "meat that got away".

10. (Also, the reason no scientist has looked into it is because there are only pictures and the body was supposedly taken by a beachgoer and no one knows where it is, according to witnesses. Either way, it's a raccoon. The ocean makes things look weird and bloated. This story got its 15 minutes.)
