McCain's New 'Celebrity' Ad a Copyright Violation?
Even after being schooled by Paris Hilton, McCain's not abandoning the "celebrity" Obama ads. They are so juvenile, it's hard to believe anyone could be moved by them, but clearly McCain's planning to keep it up.
The argument, again, is that people are excited about Obama and therefore they are ignorant. Because excitement is synonymous with stupidity, apparently?
Anyway, the L.A. Times reports that the clip at the end from Wayne's World had to be removed because Mike Myers's camp pointed out that it was illegal (not to mention pretty obnoxious) for them to use the footage in that context.
According to the Times piece, a McCain spokesman said, "Apparently Mike Myers thought we weren't worthy."
Hardy-har-har.

1. OK, I FEEL SORRY FOR YOU THAT NOBODY CARES TO COMMENT ON YOUR STUPID ARTICLE. Mccains ad doesn't imply that people are ignorant or stupid. He is spotlighting that the media hype of Obama has built him up and never questioned his lack of experience. Thus the celebrity status. ALL SIZZLE & NO STEAK...WHERE'S THE BEEF???

2.
Hah hah - Poor little Johnny McSame. wAAAA! No body is paying attention to Meeeeeeee!
So what does he put up? Ads of NO substance, and a daily flip flop depending on who made the donation that day (off-shore drilling) or what crowd he is with (Green Bay Packers POW story vs Pittsburgh Steelers POW story). Talk about where's the beef. Al McSame has to offer is whiney complaints and the same old tired politics that he has been invlolved with for 25 years.

3. Well, all is fair in politics I guess - but I agree the ads are juvenile and beneath a man like McCain. Someone gave McCain some bad advice on this one.

4. Schooled by Paris Hilton?!?! Har! Har! Hardy! Har! Har! Har! You have got to be joking.
Ada Calhoun is the editor-in-chief of Babble. If that's true how can you miss the point of the ad?
The blind leading the blind.

5. the man comes off as feeble.....really...feeble.
and I'm petrified that "Mr. Obama-I'm so arrogant-" is going to blow it and this old idiot is going to send my son off to war - because believe me - this guy "McBrain-less" is bringing back the draft if he gets in.

6. What upsets me is the desperation of McCain's ads. It may refelct the fact that McC was at the bottom of his class at USNA and has made so many gaffes about the world - EG: the Iraq-Pakistan border, can't tell a Shiite from a Sunni, etal.. SCARY!!!
Bea at 2:35PM on Aug 14th 2008
7. Magic, I so agree with you. McC has one solution to every problem, "Go to war!" As one analyst said he even scares the military that he'll get into office
Bea at 5:14PM on Aug 13th 2008
8. McCain's ads show an increasing desperation. He cannot tolerate the respect/enthusiasm Obama is receiving and he most certainly can't equal it, SO he stoops to ridicule. If McC were to appear in Berlin I doubt he'd draw a crowd of 100.
Not just the Americans who have been shamed the past 8 yrs. but the whole world is hoping the US will find its honor again - no more treaty breaking, torture, bogus wars, etc.

9. if obhma would stop hiding from mccain he would not have to be flushed out by ads, but he dont want to debate the facts tell me i dont care about harle i care about whats going on in our country and all this bull ordinary people have to put up with like kids getting killed the hungry the homless the tax payer the worker the home owner and the mother and fathers who are just trying to make it everyday with out being taxed and robbed by our own goverment when it comes to health care and medcine this is a joke we are here to elect a presdient not a showman or any1 who just is all talk face it were

10. What a great ad the Johnny Mac team has come up with! Keep up the good work tearing down the empty suit. Yeah, he does remind me alot of Paris hilton.

11. Does Americans want someone that is so juvenile to
be commander and cheif of this Country? Does he thing the economy, fuel, healthcare, foreclosure,
unemployment, homeless, and over 32% of Americans living below proverty in American is also humorous?
Maybe so since he does not want to invest in any ads to give Americans any hope!
JUDY fERGUSON at 8:41PM on Aug 13th 2008
12. Well then, John McCain is a worn out old man who see's his last shot at being great. His fore fathers were all high ranking Navy officers. He didn't get quite to ummmm Admiral I think. It's his last chance to show them he is a great commander.
The fact is that John Sidney McCain never commanded anything larger than a fighter plane, in which he got his ass shot off, does not mean he is qualified to lead this country. My father got his parts and pieces shot off too but he never claimed that alone made him qualified to be president.
Oh and by the way crap head if it weren't for al ot of those programs you speak about the people of this nation would be a whole lot worse off than they are today. But I suppose you would rather send our money to Iraq and boost their economy while Americans starve.
To hell with you and your stupid right wing garbage. You all are nothing but a bunch of blind idiots following a demigod that sucks.

14. What the McCain ad is saying is the Obamaniacs are a bunch of silly twits with the emotional development of an eleven year old boy band groupie, which, in my opinion, is a fairly accurate assessment though perhaps an insult to eleven year olds.

Your assessment would be an insult to eleven year olds.
Here it is for you in very simple terms: is profit more important than national security? Is profit more important than people?
If your answer is yes, you're a republican.
