McCain's New 'Celebrity' Ad a Copyright Violation?

Even after being schooled by Paris Hilton, McCain's not abandoning the "celebrity" Obama ads. They are so juvenile, it's hard to believe anyone could be moved by them, but clearly McCain's planning to keep it up.

The argument, again, is that people are excited about Obama and therefore they are ignorant. Because excitement is synonymous with stupidity, apparently?

Anyway, the L.A. Times reports that the clip at the end from Wayne's World had to be removed because Mike Myers's camp pointed out that it was illegal (not to mention pretty obnoxious) for them to use the footage in that context.

According to the Times piece, a McCain spokesman said, "Apparently Mike Myers thought we weren't worthy."

Hardy-har-har.
