Earlier John McCain had forgotten we invaded Afghanistan. When talking to Katie Couric, he called Iraq the first major conflict since 9/11. Now, he has forgotten both wars. When upbraiding Russia for "invading" Georgia he made this classic mistake:
If Obama made half of the mistakes McCain has made on the foreign policy front, the press would have jumped down his throat as unfit to lead. How many passes is John McCain going to get?

226. In my bible the fifth commandment reads simply and clearly: “Thou shalt not kill”. Rick Warren as a supposed man of God should have questioned John McCain and Barack Obama if invading a country in false pretenses and killing and maiming thousands if not millions of people is murder.

227. 223. Botts - To characterize Obama's political proclivities is quite a bit different than calling McCain the face of evil
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
How so, Dave? Republicans are showing ads suggesting that Obama is the "anti-christ," the, "Chosen One."
I like to point out that "conservatives" have an extra hypocrisy chromosome. Some of you have two or three extra hypocrisy chromosomes.

228.
Obama goes on vacation in Hawaii. Shortly thereafter a group of protesters try to "reinstate" the king of Hawaii.
---------------------------------------
How about this one? Georgia is invaded by Russia and Governor bush goes from feeling up the women's volleyball team in China to vacationing in Crawford.
bob, you're becoming such a pissy little dittohead. Troubles at home?

229. C'mon Cappy,
Play along...now how would you do it?..oh yeah, something like this...
In the face of a tightening presidential race, Obama operatives implement a fall-back option - King of Hawaii!!

You can't deny the facts.
Fact 1 - Obama vacationed in Hawaii
Fact 2 - Less than 2 weeks later, protesters attempt to reinstate a "king" in Hawaii.
The facts speak for themselves. Go ahead! I dare you to argue the facts. Actually I beg you to argue the facts.
Somebody please pay attention to me!
(how's that Cappy? Can you get me in the club?)
bob at 4:38PM on Aug 18th 2008
230. You're already in a club, bob. You're in the, "I'm A Mindless Dittohead Named bob," club.

231. Hit a little too close to home, Cappy?
When the name calling starts, the meltdown can't be far behind.
bob at 5:46PM on Aug 18th 2008
232. bob, if you examine this thread, it is clear that you are the one who started the name-calling. I believe it started with a "chimp" reference. Then there was, "knuckleheads." Just more wingnut hypocrisy on your part, bob.
If Toodles wasn't such a freakin' hypocrite, he would have to lecture you about personal attacks and name-calling. And he'd do it in the name of Jesus.
But it appears that I am the one who struck a nerve, bob. If you're having trouble at home, don't take it out on me. Your personal problems aren't Clif's fault either. Get some counseling, bob.
You're committing an un-pardonable sin, bob. You're boring me. Come on back when you have some new material. You just aren't getting any traction.

233. "You're committing an un-pardonable sin, bob. You're boring me."
For a guy who's bored and finds the conservative side of the conversation uninteresting, you sure are spending a lot of time hanging around here.
You've proven my point. You can't stay away. Any kind of attention is better than none. You'd rather be mocked to your face than risk being forgotten.
I'm the only one even responding to you. And I do so just for shits and giggles.
That really ought to tell you something.
But, naturally, it won't.
bob at 8:25PM on Aug 18th 2008
234. I find the fact that some people have missed the whole point. Your current President destroyed in matter of months what others have spent years achieving on the matter of foreign policy. With the continual rhetoric that comes from Dubawya' mouth, in stark contradiction to the actions actually taken shows the world that the US only cares about itself. It will only act if it can get something out of it, as apposed to it being either right or wrong.

235. This poem was written by my buddy when we were invading Iraq. We were in the 101st Airborne Division coming up through SW Baghdad. "Only seeing the dead bodies not inhaling the horrid burnt flesh smell. Never really hearing the true story on how what we endure is pure hell. While when you tire of the blood spill you turn the screen off or go outside and protest while all us soldiers can do to get away is pull 33% security so our buddies can rest. Sleep is our only escape. While you get up to alarm clocks mushroom clouds followed by explosions is how we awake. Thrown into this by the 13 stripes and 50 stars worn on our right arm. Not pressing forward for that but so no terrorist can cause our family harm, and now that you sit back and spectate you try to analyze but never will know. That to us a grunt this is life or death and to you America this war is nothing more than a show." by Sgt Sylvester Prince -RawIRAQ.com
