Earlier John McCain had forgotten we invaded Afghanistan. When talking to Katie Couric, he called Iraq the first major conflict since 9/11. Now, he has forgotten both wars. When upbraiding Russia for "invading" Georgia he made this classic mistake:
If Obama made half of the mistakes McCain has made on the foreign policy front, the press would have jumped down his throat as unfit to lead. How many passes is John McCain going to get?

16. Vote for a democrat and you'll take government away from corporations and put it back in the hands of the people you elect. Until Reagan, that was the American Way.

Democrat? Huh? There is no such thing sir. There is only one and his name is OBAMA he is a citizen of the world, the chosen one to turn our awful horrible nasty terriost communist country back into a peaceful land of pixie dusters and tree lickers.
Yes my friend this isnt a democrat or republican issue so save your talking points, this is a live or die issue. Vote for Obama to live and be ordained or vote for the evil perfidious gluttonous conglomerate Republican empire and die an agonizing subprime oil bath death. So run dont walk to cast your vote for our Obamagod!!!!

17. >>>This is why republicans can't be trusted with foreign policy and can't wage war. It was and still is all for profit so when an actual emergency comes along, we're out of troops and in debt to the communists, but the Iraqi's are fat and the bear stearns hedge fund investors are lookin' great!>>>
My my Clifford,
are you suggesting we recall the troops in preparation for a military confrontation against Russia? If that happened, wouldn't you eventually tie that to a war for profit as well?
I thought you were all about diplomacy....

19. The young turks forgot they supported the removal of Sadaam or "regime change" up until they were told to change their position (2003) by friends..err...democrats...errr...neo-coms. Changing a political position because all your friends/sheeple/democrats have changed the position borders on mindless. Keep repeating the big lie and many will follow. Your tactics are right out of the communist playbook for useful idiots. congratulations comrades! Grow a pair.

20. >>>15. Bobby. You miss the point that Cenk made: rather than go on the nuance of why afganistan was a justified war (for one, it was internationally legal) and invading Georgia is not, he simply made the brazen claim that nations do not invade nations in the 21st century. He either ignored or forgot that the United States invaded two countries, one legally, the other illegally.>>>
Somber, my only point was the interpretation of the word "invasion". If McCain had a do-over he might explain it the same way. My video feed sucks so I may have missed a key word of importance. Thanks for the heads up if indeed I did.
>>>Incidently, the russian invasion of Georgia is illegal>>>
You drove the point across better than I did with that statement. That was my intent of spelling out the difference in what McCain was thinking instead of possibly saying in a more defined way.
thanks again,, take care

There are a couple of million people my state who might find that comment rather amusing if it wasn't costing them an arm and a leg to fund the sweetheart deals given to the corporate chums of our Democrat-controlled government.

22. Cenk, you are a typical liberal. Stupid and myopic, a sad combination. Here's a newsflash, in case you missed it. We retaliated against Afghanistan for the 9/11 attacks, inasmuch as they were HARBORING muslim terrorists and their training camps, preparing to attack us again. That is not the same as invading a country for no apparent reason. You know, like the Nazi's invaded most of Western Europe .Like the Russians took over most of Eastern Europe. The Russians come in and lay waste to countries, as they are presently doing in bombing the airports in Georgia for no apparent reason, while they have clear control of the country which is much smaller than itself. We REBUILD the countries we go to war with. Don't know who made up that rule but we always do it, and I don't see any other "conquering" country building up the infrastructure of the subjugated country. Usually making it much more modern and functional than it had been before we went in. AS for Iraq, former invader of Kuwait ( who blew up the Kuwaiti oil fields as they retreated, which...you guessed it! the US rebuilt!!)they were general bad news. They paid off families of terrorist suicide bombers in Israel, thus keeping alive the slaughter of civilians. They also filtered money to Al Queda and murdered thousands of their own Kurds.. Not to mention having the whole UN believing they had WMD. Well, intelligence is unfortunately not always perfect. Especially after liberal Dems like the Clinton cabal eviserated the secret services for fear of offending "civil rights". Here's a secret...civil rights don't mean crap if you are dead at the hand of an enemy. I chose alive, with less worry about phantom civil rights incursions....who is the last person you have seen dragged off to jail for NO reason?? Mark me down for NONE. Finally the president needed to act with the information at hand after 9/11, however imperfect, or risk more thousands killed in further attacks by fundamentalist ( emphasis on the mental) neanderthals who clearly hate us. I lost my husband on 9/11 and I will take dead enemies versus more dead American civilians any day. If you fail to understand that what endangers us is NOT the mild attempts of our own government to put measures in place to protect us, but rather uneducated, hateful and homicidal rabble overseas , then you are really just pathetic. Even sadder, your misguided raving may sway enough mindless voters so that our next president will be an uninformed appeaser. Except the problem is that our enemies don't want us subjugated...they want us dead. No, we didn't INVADE those countries, McCain is correct. We RESPONDED to being attacked after years and years of bombed embassies, bombed barracks, the attack on the USS Cole and the attack in the heart of NYC on 9/11. Truthfully if we had rsponded forcefully, sooner, 9/11 may never have happened. For Gods sake, take your liberal blinders off.

25. This is the entire script of a new Obama campaign ad. It's what the republicanists will be voting against.
It begins with a plan.
A plan to build.
A plan to put hard working Americans first.
Barack Obama. He'll put the middle class ahead of Corporate Interests to...
Grow the economy. End tax breaks for companies that ship jobs overseas.
Help businesses that create jobs here.
Invest in education.
Cut taxes for working families.
And make energy independence an urgent national priority.
BO: I'm Barack Obama and I approve this message.

me too. as to the cracker barrel, they want a citizenry and country that continues to serve the profit of offshore corporations and communist china.
I regard that as treasonous and blame that philosophy for our slipping into third world status.
Voting for Obama will bust trusts, encourage trade and domestic startup businesses, make unions therefore the middle and working classes stronger, bring manufacturing home and stop the unlawful redistribution of wealth that's been going on since 1980 when Reagan tilted the playing field.

The Cheney junta has left "diplomacy" to the French. Condi Rice is in France, looking foolish and hoping the French will throw her a bone.
No military response. Diplomatic irrelevancy. The junta isn't looking good in this. Good thing we've got France.
In fairness... N.A.T.O. is looking puffy too.

that's why I didn't want clintons running government. That's DLC - blue dog ideation and if you vote for Obama you'll be as far away from it as you can get.
If you object to corporate collusion, only Obama is talking about remedying it by enforcing existing law.
Mcsame is even MORE in the pocket of big business and he's running on big oil and big business as usual - more actually - welfare for oil profiteers and group health insurance for no one. Obama's not for 'big business as usual' and hilary only sort of.
You know that. What could your point possibly have been?

the reason is apparent in georgia and it's the same one we used in iraq - oil.
