There was so much hype about Britney's opening the VMAs tonight, but all that happened was a short comic skit with Jonah Hill and then . . . an opening, as in: "Thank you so much. Thank you for all the love. I'm here tonight to celebrate a very important birthday, the 25th anniversary of the VMAs. This is the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards and it starts right now."
Yes, that was it. Presumably, it was supposed to be enough of a surprise that she looked great and seemed pulled together and happy? Maybe next year she'll look cute and sing too.

1. Hey I guess if I ditched my kids and hired a trainer, I'd look pretty good too. Cant she just go away? The dude dissing the Jonas brothers and his promise ring. Is this what America is coming to? Glorifying trash , no values, divorce, child custody and a bunch of slutty singers?

This is nothing new. This is what America has been for decades. Remember Elvis??? He was the ultimate divorced, drug addicted slutty singer.

4. I'm proud of Britney for pulling it together. We all go through a rough spot in our life; her's was just highly publicized. She'll have her kids back before you know it and I predict she will keep it under control from now on.
As for that Euro-trash Russel Brand I hope we never hear from/about him again. What kind of person condones promiscuity with the rampant STD and astronomical unwanted teen pregnancy rate we have?
He did abstinence programs all over the country a huge disservice by emasculating the Jonas brothers for wearing promise rings. Committing to save sex for marriage does not make you less of a man; and wearing that committment out in the open shows that you are secure with yourself; and makes it socially 'okay' for other impressionable youths to decide for themselves that everybody's NOT doing it and they are not the last virgin on Earth.
Kudos to Jordin Sparks for going up there, giving him a piece of her mind, and reinforcing to the youth of America that it's okay to wait.
