McCain Vs. Obama: Who Has Better Taste in Movies?
John McCain's Facebook page lists his favorite movies as Viva Zapata, Some Like It Hot and Letters from Iwo Jima. Obama's Facebook page lists his favorites as Casablanca, Godfather I & II, Lawrence of Arabia and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
Based on the fact that McCain picked Some Like It Hot, one of the funnier classic comedies, we'd rather have him as a Netflix partner. What about you?
P.S. Do you think he especially likes it because he sort of resembles rich, game old Osgood?

1. How about the new Gallup poll McCain 50% Obuma 46%
Good work Dem's keep attacking Palin as your way of change in the USA.
Gallup poll had Obuma ahead by 19% on question of who would be better choice to improve the economy, Obuma or McCain? That was before the RNC. After the RNC, this poll has shifted 16%, a huge change.
Obuma is now only ahead of McCain on the economy issue by a scant 3%
Dem's are again shooting themselves in the foot again and blowing another Presidential election

2. But seriously bob (Okane) the same spiel on three different blogs? Dude, wipe it off and put it away, it's clouding your judgement (and fouling your screen).

4. REGISTERED DEMOCRAT
Robert OKane:
Dem's are again shooting themselves in the foot again and blowing another Presidential election.
*******
They seem to excel at that. And when they do happen to gain the White House (as history shows) it becomes a White House of Cards when the next election rolls around.
The Democrats are Losers.
They nominate Losers.
They promise Universal Everything For Everyone.
They ride around in the same Limousines as the Republicans.
Most people regardless of their party affiliation see through this as a Con Game.
Change has to come from everyone if it's going to work, not just sent to us from the Government.
What's the Correct Answer?
Barack Obama.
Well... maybe.
John Kerry was the Correct Answer, wasn't he?
The 2004 election should have been a victory for the Democrats.
What happened? Where was that election Stolen?
Maybe the powers-that-be in the Democratic Party are Dimwits.
It's time for a Change, alright.

6. CQ,
McCain has more experience in war movies (手紙の硫黄島) if that affects your vote.

7. Hey Barbra-Ann!
Hope you are not going to get hit too hard with Ike on his way. My sis and bro-in-law decided to get out of Cape Coral when Charley hit in 04 - I think.
They are in Georgia now trying to stay away from the water, even though they love their boat. They come down to Bluffton SC to hit the May River when gas isn't so bad.
Hope you and your man are safe and sound. I love reading your stuff. A girl after my own heart.

It's nice to run into an article that isn't 100% politics every once in a while. There's nothing wrong with that at all.

9. I THOUGHT PRESIDENT EISENHOWER'S GRANDDAUGHTER SUSAN EISENHOWER'S SPEECH AT THE DEMOCRATIC CONVENTION WAS ELOQUENT FOR OBAMA. PERHAPS THOSE OF YOU WHO DIDN'T HEAR IT SHOULD GET A COPY OF IT.

I would have settled for 'heard of John Coltrane'.
Anybody that could appreciate Trane on something like 'moment's notice' can probably be better equipped to ACT in the moment and nail the changes. Giant steps for a politician.
Those are killer world class harmonic changes and they come up on you at ninety, not for the inept player, and not for the dumbassed listener. Also it's one of my favorite tunes to jam on. That's music that requires focus to deliver and focus to understand. Not for the lightweight intellect.
Somebody should hip him to Ravel and Hindemith and maybe Ben Monder and Maria Schneider.

I say enforce Sherman and Clayton. You got a problem with that, genius? Try an issue instead of a babymama fistjab, flyweight.

Actually I've always had the hardest time warming up to jazz. As something beyond background music I can't figure out how to get into it. I'll give it another try, for Obama!

It's a very emotional movie, but I was rooting for the woman through the whole thing. What was that actress' name? Easily one of the best films of 200X.
