16. I am a dem, and am offended that people are taking digs at Palin, and even more upset that all the republicans see us as winey biotches.
We need a president and vice president that can actually take a stand on a subject, keep it, and be true to themselves, as well as keep in mind that this is a country based on people having equal rights and the opportunity to decide life changing things, when we are faced with them. I am against abortion but do feel that it is a womans choice to make that decision, not our government.
As far as commenting on one's choice to serve thier country. People may serve their country in many ways. Perhaps it is one's choice to not take a human life in any form. In fact their is still a group, about 10 percent of Americans that are not allowed to serve thier country and be who they are. My Father and my two brothers are veterans and are still currently in Active duty. I personally would have served but was denied based on my Sexual orientaion. I guess i could not "Pray the gay, away"
We need someone who will stand up and remind us what this country was founded on. "life, Liberty, and the persuit of happiness. "
Should we clean up the mess we made the past 8 years...Yes. But lets do it with some freakin dignity and Class.
Last I checked, Miss Porter's school teaches Charm. Let us celebrate our differances so we can all work together to get this country out of this slump. Maybe we wil gain the respect we once had.

17. Well said, Patch. Mo, Dr. Carle had some great insights for how to keep some civility when discussing Gov. Palin. I’m a moderate, and as it typically happens neither of the people I supported in the primary got nominated for president, let alone vice-president. When I heard about Obama’s choice of Sen. Biden, I was surprised that he didn’t pick the candidate I thought he’d would, and I had numerous reasons as to why I thought that Biden was not the best choice (and I’ve voted for him as senator). So if someone was to ask me what I thought of that choice, I’d probably POLITELY say something like “I would have preferred another candidate”, and listed my reasons for supporting him/her, if appropriate. I think it would be an indirect, yet less defensive way to respond to a die-hard Biden supporter (and yes, they do exist in DE) than saying “Yeah, Biden’s just a big fish in a little pond”, “he’s been wrong on a lot of his foreign policy stances over the years”, etc, looking to start a fight.
Same goes for Gov. Palin. If someone who is dead-set against her gets asked “isn’t she the greatest?”, maybe that person should simply suggest who would have been a better choice, and why. I think that making such a comparison shows that you are at least taking the other person’s viewpoint into account without attacking his/her candidate, even if you side with the opposition.

19. Hilarious as usual, Mo - How about a "man on the street" interview polling whether or not our political system is becoming s sad version of American Idol?

25. More divisive than slavery???? What's divisive about lower taxes, lower spending, winning over our national enemies and voting for a war hero rather than a lawyer married to a black separatist and an African-American urban civil rights advocate??

29. Gee Mo, you're spending a lot of time on Sarah Palin. I'd ask why you aren't doing a piece or two on Joe Biden, but we both know Joe is the Senator from Delaware today.....and he's still going to be the Senator from Delaware on January 1, 2009.
So why waste ink on him, right Mo?
Willet at 8:00PM on Sep 13th 2008
30. they'll use a cat and a whip.
Forget the whip, just keeping putting something in front of the cat that you do not to be stepped on or want cat hair all over.
