As a Democrat and, an albeit reluctant, supporter of Obama I find it distressing the way you and your collegues actually post these infantile blogs instead of researching issues of more import. The Republicans dont give a rats ass as long as their ad's and talking points make an impact with the public; which they are. I believe McCain is much further ahead in the polls than Gallup or others are reporting. Racist Democrats (of which there are many) will never give the politically incorrect answer that they wont vote for Obama because of his race.....but wait till they are alone in the voting both. Doesn't it worry you that Obama leads by only single digets in states like NJ and PA and McCain is closing the gap in NY. That is scary.

I would hope people like you who have access to a soap box would use it to convince voters that Obama is the better candidate just because he is a Democrat. You guys are so obsessed with Roe v Wade (the only Supreme Court issue discussed on The View)but you should bear in mind that it's not the most important issue with working class rural Democratic voters who will decide the election.

Robert Okane is correct on his lies of Obama.

All politicians lie. It is a fact of life. We as voters need to get past that. Telling us what we want to hear is in their best interest not ours.

The last paragraph of Okane's #5 comment from the Times of London tells the true story. Obama demands UNCRITICAL SUBSERVIENCE to the IRRATIONAL, ANTI-EMPIRICAL PROPOSITION that the PAST holds NO CLUES about the future, that PROMISE is wholly detached from EXPERIENCE.

This is the most compelling argument against Obama for any person who has developed their personality, through out their life, by siding with past experience as a guide. If you fail, lose or make a mistake this experience should be a learning one.

To jump in with faith and hope and forget about past experiences when it comes to picking political leaders is suicide.

I also watched & listened to the video of Obama giving his speech in Selma. He implicitly stated his birth was a byproduct of the Selma march.

Obama said:
"There was something stirring across the country because of what happened in Selma, Alabama, because some folks are willing to march across a bridge. So they got together and Barack Obama Jr. was born. So don't tell me I don't have a claim on Selma, Alabama. Don't tell me I'm not coming home to Selma, Alabama."

If you'll watch the youtube video you'll find Obama was obviously pandering to the black folk there. He had to lie to get his 'minority' point across to them to prove he was one of the guys.

Obama's the best I've ever seen at saying anything he pleases then excusing himself as if everyone else is too dumb to figure it out....
