Finally, it's no longer a one person race, where McCain just beats up on Obama and there is no response. Obama has at long last began to strike back:

31. "PS Just remember the eight years of peace and prosperity that you had under Bill Clinton. Ah, those golden years"
Wow, I feel a song coming on.
This sounds just like Ray Walston's song in that scene from the musical "Damn Yankees". Ah for the "good old days !!!"

32. But as a mother, Gov. Palin can't run this country because she doesn't have the "right" kind of experience.
the "right" kind
My oh my, oh my ,we do sound so much like Peter Bienart.
Well we will just wait for you, Peter, and the others of your group to guide us in the "right" direction. Please bear with us as we are not as gifted as one like yourself.

33. "Americans are not willing to put the country's future in the hands of Troskyites as an antidote to our problems."
________________________
Ordinarily, I wouldn't condescend to respond to such a ridiculous statement, but recent events in the news bear witness to just how ridiculous it is.
Currently, we are experiencing a credit meltdown in our financial sector. The crisis was not brought about by fictional "Troskyites" or any other left wing bogeymen. The crisis was brought about by the prevailing anti-government ethos that led to the deregulation of the financial sector and a lack of prudent government oversight of this important sector of the economy. The current crisis would be even worse had not been for the prudent "Troskyites" of yesteryear who mandated such banking reforms as the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).
The senile John McCain and his fellow Republicans are clueless, so they are forced to hide behind the skirt of their "Caribou Barbie" in hopes of distracting Americans from the real issues.

34. vote for your favorite mccain campaign employee:
1- the two lobbyists in his campaign finance that also work for companies named in the sex-n-dope for oil indictments coming out of the dept. of the interior (may be just a coincidence)
or
2- rep. bob allen who was co-chair of his florida campaign before he "was arrested wednesday for solicitation of prostitution" of an undercover black cop in a park men's room. (google the police report for bail, etc / offered 20 bucks to BJ undercover black cop).

35. I see some republicans whining about, "The View" and "community organizer," labels while the financial sector collapses.
This isn't an intra-conference football rivalry, republicans. Grow up.

You have it wrong. People said you were not as smart as Gov Bush or even President Bush

38. Those of you who are voting for McCain/Palin - wake up and realize that they are LIARS. Realize that if McCain dies in office, Palin doesn't have the brains, or the experience to run this country. Please listen to the truth before you make that mistake and give your vote to them.
This website has collected most of the data out there on Palin.
Wake up!

39. Bobby:
I googled "Khajawall" & this guy's a lying son of a bitch. Here's a blog recognizing the "good colonel's" bullshit. Grass roots California leader per Senator McCain's mailings my ass.
Colonel of WHAT? Assessing this jumbled prose and indecipherable opinion, if you were a Colonel, Donald Duck was the Lt. Gen.
This mindless vowel-movement was so incomprehensible that it intrigued me. So I did a search on the good Colonel and I was floored. (I know there is no way in hell that this clown is or ever was a Colonel.)

*******
Probably as much so as Colonel Sanders.
Is he peddling California Fried Bullshit?

I took a quick peek at your Web site.
Do you know what I saw?
"Panic", compliments of the Obama Web response team.
You really are running scared. Why?
If your master is so "right" then why all the negative waves? You should be just sitting back with your feet up and your keyboards idling. This, while you wait for the inevitable landslide that will carry your master into power. Could it be that this "inevitability" is nothing more than the same kind of "indevitability" of the senator from New York?
Once again, what is going on? If you are so right then you have nothing to be concerned about.
You're starting to act like a married man whose trying to put his pants on in a darkened closet with a pocket full of loose change.

43. Poor little Barack Obama. Republican meanies keep bashing him. But, isn't this the guy that cornered 5 foot 7 inch, 150 pound Joe Lieberman in the well of the Senate and did a friendly little Chicago-style mugging? I think it was.
Randy, you're a big lefty, can you get me one of those cushy jobs at FNMA where you make tens of millions as this wonderful public/private company implodes into a sea of red ink. And is it GW Bush's fault when congress forces banks to lend to people who aren't credit worthy?

You're an articulate Christian fundamentalist. Can you tell me why your ilk hates sick people?

The President of the United States is surrounded by some of the finest Constitutional lawyers money can buy. It's their sworn duty to give an "unbiased" account of what the Constitution reads & their opinion on how far the president can take the issue without being drummed out of office or accused of abuse of power. As we all know, this is the ongoing rift by the left against Bush. They claim he's basically rewritten the Constitution for his own self serving purpose. I personally disagree.-Bobby
Hi Bobby,
Im responding from the other blog.......
Ideally that’s how it should be, but for both parties now a days often its not. Interest groups and lobbyists have taken over and they are in most cases great at finding loopholes when establishing legislation or deregulating it.
Take Phil Gram (McCain's campaign advisor and probable Secretary of Treasury if McCain wins) who introduced to congress the Commodity Futures Modernization Act, which deregulates banking measures set forth after the market crash of 29. This bill was what originally set in motion the irresponsible bank lending (swapping of unregulated loans) that led to the housing crisis we are in today. Do you think anyone understood the 200+ page provision in congress? No not really, or else they wouldn't have passed it.
People still don't understand it, or even look at Phil Gram as the cause of it. Only a few experts do. I just so happen to work with such experts and follow much of the legislation that is being introduced throughout the country.
So you see, to me McCain has no substance for me, not only has he openly admitted to having no economic education on numerous occasions, he also surrounds himself with much of these special interests groups such as Gram which I consider dangerous to our future economic policy if named secretary of treasury. McCain told a Wall Street Journal columnist that Phil Gramm was his economic guru!
Not to mention Phil Buress, leader of the CCV and other religious rights groups that hire Christian law firms that waste taxpayer's monies in efforts to regulate gambling, education & dress codes in schools, gay benefits, hate crime laws, go-go bars, alcohol, hotel cable, adult book stores and many already heavily regulated industries. He too had meetings with McCain regarding all I've mentioned above. In our current economic crisis where 100,000 plus jobs are being lost a month do we need this?
Think about it and take care......
