Vice Presidential hopeful Sarah Palin is currently undergoing an ethics investigation for allegedly firing Alaska's Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan last summer for not giving into pressures to terminate Mike Wooten's position as a state trooper. The scandal dubbed "troopergate," accuses Palin of wanting to destroy Wooten's career due to his involvement in a bitter custody battle with her sister.
But Palin's past has shown that she has engaged in more cases of vindictive behavior, and the clip below will point out the details.

Palin wasn't subpoeaned, her husband was and according to Alaskan state law, you do not have to appear until the entire legislature is in session, which will be in January. You also cannot force a spouse to testify against the other, so where is your point? Oh, I see it now, it's under your tinfoil hat.

With regard to Todd Palin testifying against his wife, Alaska Rule of Evidence 505 provides in part:
Husband-Wife Privileges.
(a) Spousal Immunity (1) General Rule. A husband shall not be examined for or against his wife, without her consent, nor a wife for or against her husband, without his consent.
So what the law states is not that a husband can't testify, but that he needs his wife's permission to do so. If Sarah really wants the truth to come out (as she suggested in a recent interview) then there would be no reason why she would prevent her husband from testifying. The 5th Amendment privilege and spousal privilege are both to protect a person from damning themselves from their own mouth, or that of their spouse. Doesn't she know her scriptures John 8:32- And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (Well, in her case it will free her from the burdens of VP, or maybe not, it depends on how many ignorant voters such as yourself are out there)

The Fifth Amendment applies only as an individual right. Spousal priviledge is granted to protect BOTH parties from undue coercion to incriminate the partner of the other. Both may take the Fifth to not incriminate themselves individually but spousal privilege means you can't ask either party squat which means there is no doubt as there is when pleading the "Fifth."
