4. The Bush Presidency was long ago over. He ended it when he decided to read My Pet Goat while America was attacked. The 9-11 Commission removed him for cause from the official chain of command and Dick Cheney has been running things from the undisclosed bunker. Like it or not, the reason America failed on that day to defend itself hasn't been told. If you think 20 Jihidiots can bring this nation to it's knees, then you must be from France. American citizens don't carry weapons that can repel planes. We were helpless if the Air Force was helpless or duped. When average citizens got word of the plot, they did what every red blooded American would do...they died protecting the Red, White, and Blue. Color didn't matter. They put "Country First!" We got hit because we didn't have enough diversity in the FBI and our intelligence agencies to decode the messages. Diversity is our only defense in the war on terror. We can't go back to win the war on 9-10 or in 1810. Slavery won't work. Hating won't work. Diversity is the only way. The Bush Presidency was all about fear and failure. It was over when the first building got hit and he did nothing.

5. Cecil, I think you've been reading "My Pet Goat" yourself. Other than Josh Howard, who's talking about going back to slavery? And the Bush Administration had more minorities in the cabinet than any in history. There's your "diversity."
Because America may not chose Obama for Prez that means we're going back to slavery? Huh? At first I thought your post was parody, but incredibly, I think you're serious.

6. Cicil Jones : If you had been in President Bush's place, reading "My Pet Goat" to a classroom of children and received the same information that he did, what would you have done. He was informed that a plane had hit one of the World Trade Center towers and that other aircraft were believed to have been hijacked. He is the President and as President must demonstrate leadership skills in a crisis situation. I took two leadership courses while in service and the rule was don't panic, stay calm and wait until you get more information. Your rule, it appears, is panic, get upset and run around likje a chicken with it's head cut off.

7. Cecil Jones : My appologies for mispelling your first name. It was unintentional as my mispelling of "like" in the last sentence.

8. I'm no fan of O'Reilly (he's a huge turd), but to be fair, he didn't say the end of the Bush "presidency" he said the end of the Bush "legacy". Nearly as stupid, but a distinctly different thing.

11. He didn't say the Bush presidency is over. He said the Bush legacy is over. Two very different things. I've always found the Young Turks very stupid, and this video proves it.

12. Hey Cenk - it seems to me that you guys are posting quite a few of these short clips in a rapid fire, less-is-more style. Oh I get it... that's how you compete with the popularity of other newsbloggers. You do it by VOLUME.
I'm not a regular watcher of Fox News, but O'Reilly is light years beyond you, dude. For one thing, he has the clout to get someone like Obama himself to sit down face-to-face and answer questions without the benefit of a well-written speech. I watched his program last week to see how Obama would do and I was pleasantly rewarded with an intelligent interview as well as intelligent responses from Barack. Why don't you feature some of that instead of some crapola that's probably taken out of context anyway.
By comparison, the above video seems a little like Beavis and Butthead:
"Huh huh."
"What was that, uh, that uh... was it that ummm skit from SNL?"
"Nah! It was that movie... uh... ha ha!"
Jeez! Regardless of what you think of O'Reilly he aimed for the stars with his Obama interview.
You're just farting peas at the moon as usual.
You should hope like hell that McCain wins, because otherwise it's back to workin' at the IHOP for you.
*disclaimer - no offense to Beavis, Butthead, or IHOP employees is intended. I love those guys and where else can you get 8 different kinds of syrup on your pancakes at 3:00 am?*

13. @david the king hubbard: Are you 9? Go back to grade school and learn how to form a sentence. You made no sense whatsoever. Complacent idiots like you are the reason we got in this mess to begin with. Go ahead, keep dumbing America down--you're doing an excellent job.

14. In 2005 who was it fighting against reform of Freddie Mac and Fannie? It was none other than Democrats Chris Dodd, John Kerry, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. According to the Washington Post, they all happen to be the top recipients of campaign donations from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac from 1988 to 2008.
Obama even chose former Fannie Mae CEO James Johnson to lead his vice presidential vetting team, in the search for his running mate. Johnson had to resign when it was revealed he received a secret discount mortgage from Country Wide. Chris Dodd, who will be charged with leading the investigation also received a sweetheart mortgage from the same guy.
In 4 years Obama has become the second largest recipient of political campaign contributions, only behind John Kerry, who has been in the Senate for decades.
Obama is claiming to have co-sponsored a bill to reform Freddie and Fannie- which for the record is a lie. Not only did Obama not co-sponsor a bill, he did not even show up to vote on the bill that McCain co-sponsored, A bill that was voted down along party lines.
Now a video has surfaced that features Fannie Mae CEO, Daniel Mudd, addressing the Congressional Black Caucus, including Barack Obama, at their swearing in ceremony in 2005. Mudd discusses the problems facing Fannie Mae, yet Obama and other democrats and some republicans- took large contributions from that organization while preventing it’s oversight and reform.
In part, Mudd said
“So many of you have been good friends to Fannie Mae and our mission. You’ve been friends through thick and thin. We have indeed come upon a difficult time for Fannie Mae. There is much to be done inside my company and I humbly ask you to help us and to help me. If there are areas where we are missing. If there are areas where we could do better, we’d like to hear it from our friends and I’d be so bold as to say our family first.
He went on …
”In many ways I want to tell you today you are also the conscience of Fannie Mae.”
Obama was there. He heard the speech. Yet knowing they were in trouble he has accepted over $125,000 from Fannie Mae.
These are the same politicians claiming innocence. These are the very politicians who will be in charge of the alleged investigation of exactly what transpired.
These are criminal offenses. People go to jail for what is happening now. A congressional investigation? I say no. There are republican names on that list also. However, it does appear that democrats blocked any and all reform Republicans, such as John McCain, attempted to push through.
No, no congressional dog and pony show this time. Every member of the house whose name shows up as recipients of campaign contributions from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and who voted against reform for whatever reason, should be removed from office and be subjected to an intensive criminal investigation.
Certainly there was an abundant greed on Wall Street. However, for decades politicians in the pocket of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac not only ignored the warnings, but they would not permit preventative measures, because they were making too much money from it. Don’t you ever wonder how politicians with not much of anything when elected to office, is suddenly catapulted into millionaire status when their salary is about $150,000 a year? It is corruption!
Ladies and gentlemen, we have got to clean house. It makes no matter your party affiliation. Look at what is happening now. This is the direct result of political favors and flat out corruption. It has to end. It has to end today. But this will not happen if we, the people, do not stand together, vote everyone of them out of office and force criminal investigations. Many politicians need a one way ticket to the pen. Do not pass go. Do not collect $200. Go directly to jail.
