So isn't it interesting that we keep hearing about Sarah Palin's peccadilloes--most lately, that she used her private email account to conduct government business--while the major media continues to ignore the George Obama scandal? Here is a guy living in Third World destitution and his half-brother is the leading candidate to become the next president of the United States! How can we be blind to this national disgrace? Are the networks and major newspapers so exhilarated at the prospect of an African American president that they have become cheerleaders and cover-up specialists for the Obama campaign?
My modest campaign to help out George Obama has been coming nicely. Sean Hannity mentioned it on his show on the Fox News Channel, and I appeared on a handful of radio shows to talk about the idea. Interestingly the George Obama Compassion Fund was reported on by Kenya's leading newspaper "The Nation." So far I have received more than $1,000 in small contributions. With my kickoff contribution of $1,000, that's upwards of $2,000 for George Obama.
This is not a huge sum, but I specifically asked people to send gifts of $5, $10 and $25. The reason is that even a relatively modest sum by American standards is a considerable sum by Kenyan standards. George Obama has said that he is living on a dollar a month. This seems an impossibly small sum to survive on, so I checked the poverty line in Kenya. That is around $100 a year. By this measure, our little fund has provided for George for 20 years. Alternatively, George can move out of his 6 foot-by-10-foot hut and into a more comfortable dwelling. He can also get the training he needs to become a mechanic.
The reporter for "The Nation" thought he had me cornered when he asked, "Are you doing this to embarrass Barack Obama?" To which I answered, "Absolutely. He deserves to be embarrassed." The reporter went on to ask me since when I had developed this great interest in African poverty. I responded that I had only a slight and distant interest in African poverty. I happen to come from a very poor country, India, and my philanthropic work is directed there. In fact,I I only took up the George Obama cause when I heard what a jerk and a hypocrite Barack Obama is being about his sibling. One Obamoron emailed me to say, "Why don't you use your money to help your own impoverished relatives in India?" The answer is that my relatives don't live in huts!
The George Obama Compassion Fund elicited some interesting comments from donors, which I'll be forwarding to George along with the funds. "This is for the poor brother long forgotten." "A brother is a terrible thing to waste." "I wish I had a brother, or even a step-brother. George is not my relative and not my race or religion but I still want to contribute to his welfare." "When Obama said that not taking care of the least of our brothers is our greatest moral failure, who knew that he was talking literally about the least of his brothers?" "I never thought I'd be writing a check to anyone named Obama, but I do want to be a true Christian and help this man in this shameful situation." "I'd send more, but I make $9.10 per hour." "I'm unemployed, but I can spare $5 for the Obama Compassion Fund."
Not one of the atheists who regularly appears on this blog contributed a penny. (This is very much in line with sociologist Arthur Brooks' data showing that the most secular people are much less generous both with money and time than their religious counterparts.) As Brooks might have predicted, most of my donations came from self-identified Christians, some of them in difficult circumstances themselves. Thanks to this generosity, Barack Obama's half-brother can look forward to the prospect of a better life. George Obama, start packing!

31. Since you are such a caring person, dimwit, how many other poor starving africans have you started a fund for? Better yet, how many poor, starving americans have you started a fund for.
Oh right, there is no political advantage in that kind of caring is there.

32. Obama is a fake, full of bullshit. He is a liar, he is an opportunist. Change, change, change.... what? I need specific change, not just talk... Obama and the Dem. don't want or need my vote. I am a long time Dem. but now I believe I will never be one again. And by the way... The media in this country are Obama on Obama side, they will do cover up for him anytime, but will post and explore other negative side, even something so little... why don't they trash Obama on his drug abuse experience? Obama is trash

I really hope you burn in hell.
Not only are you a moron for believeing in God so strongly, you are a black soul for only caring about this man as a political stunt.
Such an intelligent believer as yourself would know that everyone is everyone else's brother according to your God.
Therefore, why is it so important to only look out for those genetically connected to us. Is that the requirement for kindness in your convoluted mind?
Why aren't you giving all your money to the poor children in ghettos? If you were truly a good person as you would delude us into believing you are, perhaps you would set an example by giving up all your wealth, as Jesus wants you to.
No, you are hypocrisy manifest.

35. Demos listen carefully, you tried to ruin Palin but she was to smart for you. Poor George living on a dollar a month, with all your passion you have for the poor, just send him a few bucks so he can live the good life and just maybe he will become the president of Kenya, then Obama could send money out of our taxes to the poor. Obama is a muslim and a racist, and his wife is ugly.

36. The majority of the American people are like sheep. They listen to the sound bites that they want to believe is true to support their party. Since the media is biased and the Pied Piper of destruction, I applaud Dinesh for his truthful research. The tru problem of America is that people are too darn lazy to research the facts. They want to be spooned feed like babies. When a man who is wealthy, running for the highest office in a free nation looks the other way at his half brother for fear that it will bring him down, then Americans deserve what they get if he gets elected. To the athesists who fool themselves into thinking there is no God, shows their trait of stubborn logic. They will have their answer answered when their timecard is punched and they leave this world behind. Remember, man proposes, but God disposes! We are all free to choose our own path and where it leads will either reward or astound you. As people think they put governments in power, they forget that they can not even control or know the time or day of their own demise. SO to bring light to the fact that a half brother is starving while the other half brother is seeking fame and power, the ultimate judge on high will have the final say for one and all.

38. I find it interesting that the Liberals have such distain for George Bush; if they would stop reading their orders on what to think from DNC they would note that the Congress and Senate are controlled by the Liberals. In case you don't know our system of government, Congress controlls spending and institutions such as Fannie Mae and Frdddie Mae. So to put the melt down solely on George Bush is not being honest. Congress and the Senate - controlled by Ms Pelosi and Mr Reid, bothe Liberal- has earned a much a lower popularity rating than President Bush.

40. Interesting facts, sir - and they would be all the more interesting if they were true. George is well off, by Kenyan standards, and in a recent interview on CNN said he shudders at the thought of being percieved as otherwise.

42. Mr. D'Souza
Very interesting article.
First most let me say...it is cool whether you are a democrate or republican. They both have the interest of the American people in heart. The only conflict is "HOW TO PROCEED ON SENSITIVE ISSUES."
Don't get me wrong...I think McCain is a good hearted gentleman....but I do not like the Barbie Doll he picked as his VP.
Not saying Obama or McCain are right or wrong.
This is a direct response to your blog.
First most I find it amazing..
that one minority would attack another.
Might I remind you without Dr. King Indian migrants would still be sitting back of the bus as others. Who are you kidding...of couse race (Obama) and gender (for Sarah Palin) is playing a key role.
Secondly in India there is high Anti-Islam bias.
It is understandable why people are in fear...but no excuse to agree with a party who believes in bombing innocent civilians just to show off power.
The comment about Indian people not living in huts...I would take it back. During my visit to India for missionary work....I saw people living in Cow filth. No roof....and the upper bollywood class use them as ridicule. Before I pass a comment on any other country...I would look at my own backyard. Yes there are good and bad in all.
Our country suffering economically and we have lost enough men and women in the war. I do not want the US Gov't to start a draft killing off more of our young genersation. (Sarah Palin already declared war against Iran and Russia).
And yes by any means we must protect ourselves from another 9-11.
But I think its time the US gov't lay off the testostrones and start keeping the enemy closer than their friends.
Just remember McCain and Obama are just faces to a Republican or Democratic party. Each party's agenda is always pre-set and the candidiate must follow whether they like or not.
Who knows maybe we do need Mr. Geroge Obama Hussain to help this country safe....maybe it is he who can keep the enemy close.
Or
Maybe we need McCain to follow another 8 years of Republican control.

43. What is your motivation Danesh? Seems like some of us will go to whatever length is needed just to get a little publicity. How much are they paying you to publish this kind of mud slinging? I won't mention any name, but I won't be surprise who is behind this. What you are trying to do is to cleverly sow a seed and hoping that the national media will grab hold of it. Based on where you come from Danesh, I'm sure this is not the way you were raised. Are they proud of you when you publish crap like this?. You mention that you were a Christian and if i'm correct, the Bible teaches for Christians not to spread discourse among their brethrens. If you care so much for the people from India, maybe you should spend more of your time on their plight instead of trying discredit Obama or commenting about the African plight of which you probably have limited knowledge of or even care about anyway. If you are just doing this to gain their acceptant, believe me Danesh--it won't work. This is dirty politricks and it has no place in this or any other election. You are way out of bound with this one.

44. I think it is important to keep an open mind. Otherwise, you can be very easily fooled by people, or political parties that you have come to trust. It is wise to watch what someone does, rather than what he or she says when forming an opinion of that person. I believe that this exercise's purpose was to bring to light the true character of Obama. Dinesh was merely trying to help the American people gain a more objective insight into a person that they are blindly trusting, merely because he says things that they want to hear.

45. You couldn't get a job at McDonalds and become district manager after 143 days of experience.
You couldn't become Chief of Surgery after 143 days of experience of being a surgeon.
You couldn't get a job as a teacher and be the Superintendent after 143 days of experience.
You couldn't join the military and become a Colonel after a 143 days of experience.
You couldn't get a job as a policeman and become the Chief of Police after 143 days of experience.
You couldn't get a job as a reporter and become the nightly news anchor after 143 days of experience.
BUT....
From the time Barack Obama was sworn in as a United State Senator, to the time he announced he was forming a Presidential exploratory committee, he logged 143 days of experience in the Senate. That's how many days the Senate was actually in session and working. After 143 days of work experience, Obama believed he was ready to be Commander In Chief, Leader of the Free World .... 143 days.
We all have to start somewhere. The senate is a good start, but after 143 days, that's all it is - a start.
AND, strangely, a large sector of the American public is okay with this and campaigning for him. We wouldn't accept this in our own line of work, yet some are okay with this for the President of the United States of America? Come on folks, we are not voting for the next American Idol! ---- NOBAMA 08!
