16. Most accountable for this mess are dead. Current acountables include Mr. Bill. And true to form, he threw his party "Under the bus" (Sorry Rush, had to quote you) Bill Clinton is the Bart Simpson of the Democratic Party. "I didn't do it."
Deleted the rest of my post. Would be offensive to BO.

17. Here is what I can make out of this bailout issue. This has been in the coming since the first Bush and over time it has worsened and now with younger bush in office it has finally exploded!!!! The bushes are not worried about our economy because their pockets are padded. McGrumpy Cain and Dwarfus Palein aren't worried either because their pockets are all ready padded by the high executives in the oil companies. Why should congress bail them out?? They shouldn't because no one is bailing the middle and low class families outta of foreclosures and such. Obama has a brillant plan and I agree that McGrumpy Cain should not delay the debate and the issue of choice should be the economy and not foreign policies and other blah as McGrumpy Cain wants to talk about because he has no clue of reality just MONEY, GREED, and WEALTH!!!!!!!!
Vote OBAMA-BIDEN!!!!!!!!!!

20. "Uh huh, and you notice how Obie whined like a puppy then took his ass to DC after McCain outmanuerved him. Brilliant, Obie is playing frisbee and McCain says the country is more important than his campaign. Neophyte! Obie just uh'd and um'd while he was left in the dust. Too bad, another nail in the coffin"
Ded,
Are you watching the same thing that I am? Because it certainly doesn't look like it. You actually look like a fool even trying to spin this. You are in such a minute minority right now that it's becoming sad.
Obama called his ass at 8:30 a.m. to put out a bi-partisan bullet point plan together on what they both would like to see happen in the bail out. McCain was busy blowing Rothchild, and came back 6 hours later to say okay. Then minutes later he announces he's suspending his campaign, which by the way he never suspended it. Simply a stunt. He's still accepting donations, running ads, going on networks, campaign workers still up and running, and his campaign is still doing interviews.
It was simply an "announcement". You know this. I'm preaching to the choir on this.
And Palin is an absolute disaster. Anyone with your intelligence that can sit here say you are okay with her is being intentionally dishonest.
She cannot answer one question. Not one. She sounds so far gone, that it really is scary.

21. I totally think McCain is making the right call here. Obamanation is just an idiot and is trying to make McCain look like he's wrong for putting country first. If Obama is elected, country will definitely not come first.

22. "So when Barack Obama suspended his campaign and went to Captiol to vote on some important issues earlier this year and John McCain didn't, Harry Reid blasted John McCain but praised Barack Obama for pausing his campaign to go and work."
Pausing and suspending are two different things. Going there to vote on something is just that. A break in the day to vote.
When's the last time McCain voted on anything? Your answer is April.
"But now, when we are facing a HUGE economic situation that will affect all of us for years, John McCain is getting hammered for postpoing his campagin by Harry Reid and other Democrats. Wow..."
He only announced the Suspension to look like an idiot which he has is doing quite frequently lately. His campaign is still up and running. Purely a stunt, and a stunt that has backfired. No surprise. The man is desperate, and he looks anything but presidential.

Marie,
What we are witnessing, especially after today, is that McCain is putting McCain first.
And on a side note
What we are witnessing in regards to Palin, is that she has no idea what she is talking about. If it's a question she hasn't been prepped for, she still gives the same talking points that can't feasibly answer the questions. An absolute disaster.

25. Interesting...
On ABC World News Tonight (Thursday) when Charlie Gibson asked Obama, "Do we have a debate tomorrow night", the Senator answered, "Well, it is my intention to be in Mississippi. Uh, and, y'know, obviously, the biggest priority is making sure that we get this deal done."
Obama once again walks right into the punch. Now he MUST go to Mississippi whether McCain goes or not. If Obama doesn't go, and stays in Washington with John McCain then Obama looks like a follower, and not a leader. If, however, Obama goes to Mississippi and the legislature back in Washington passes a deal for the bail out then Obama looks like an idiot for not being there at a crucial time in American history.
Either way, Obama loses. Funny thing is, the Democrats can't even see this coming.
What's even funnier is how Cenk and other Yellow Dog Democrats will ridicule McCain on one page about not knowing a thing about economics and then ridicule him on another page about his personal wealth...y'know, he's so wealthy that he doesn't even know how many homes he owns.
So, which is it? Is McCain an economic genius or a fiscal dunce? You can't have it both ways.

Botts: Before you start calling someone intelectually dishonest, you should have more to go on than what you do. Name me three articles published by Obama at the Harvard Law Review. I'm getting tired of hearing how Palin is this, Palin is that, how Obama is the Messiah for the DNC. You have a point, make the point then wait for the answer. Google Garden Parc, IL and see the record that the media has kept quiet, then get back to me.
You think Couric did a number on Palin, then I want Obama on Rush and we can see who is the deer in the headlights.

ANA says that the critics say McCain puts off the debate for other reasons. Someone tell me why all that ever comes out of the young turk-eys is liberal immaturity. All you have to do is look at the comments left by the people mentioned above.
There will be at least two other debates between the candidates. Is this not enough after a year and a half of campaigning? MAYBE JUST MAYBE this will give Obama more time to figure out how to answer a question without reading the answer. How do you like that for a thought.
I do not know if anyone else has noticed this. It seems to me that comments sent to this blog THAT GIVE ALOT OF NEGATIVE FEEDBACK from the RIGHT side seem to disappear while anything that gathers a positive feedback hangs around forever. This kind of journalism is authored by immature people who think they are something special.
By the way Botts this is from the sad minute minority. Spin on it!!!

________________
I don't get this logic at all.
McCain insists on staying in Washington to concentrate on the most important US legislation of the past 100 years and someone thinks McCain wants to put himself first?
Meanwhile, Obama insists that he and McCain sit and talk about the bailout somewhere in Mississippi (as if they can't talk about it in Washington DC) and that insistence on a debate is somehow NOT putting Obama first?
How does that make sense in any logical universe?
Obama chides McCain by saying that "...the president should be able to do two things at once."
This is an absolute absurdity that betrays how shallow Obama's understanding of just how grave the economic situation in America really is.
Let me put it to you this way, if I'm going in for open heart surgery, I certainly don't want my cardiac surgeon up to his elbows in my chest while scanning his stock portfolio, roasting a chicken in a nearby oven, and working on his golf stroke all at the same time.
Yes, the President of the United States certainly must multitask at times, but prudence dictates that a REAL leader recognize when it's time to concentrate his/her energies on the most important task.
I think that a proposal to use 700B of taxpayer money to bail out mismanaged, greedy, private corporations is the most important task at hand, and it SHOULD require all of our lawmakers' concentrated energy. Anything less than that would be a disservice to the American public.
Worse than that, though, spinning McCain's actions to suit your political objectives is just reprehensible.
Bravo to John McCain for showing that actions speak louder than words--even those words muttered at a debate some 1000 miles away from the center of the crisis.

29. "Botts: Before you start calling someone intelectually dishonest, you should have more to go on than what you do. Name me three articles published by Obama at the Harvard Law Review."
Ded,
He was the President of the Harvard Law Review. The Editors worked for him. He wasn't the editor but the President. His role wasn't to publish articles. Your point isn't a valid one.
"I'm getting tired of hearing how Palin is this, Palin is that, how Obama is the Messiah for the DNC. You have a point, make the point then wait for the answer. Google Garden Parc, IL and see the record that the media has kept quiet, then get back to me."
You're comparing a failed Park where Obama sent $100,000 of state funds and couldn't raise the remaining $1 Million to finish construction on it to a $300 + Million Bridge Project that was retarded and when it was revealed how retarded it was Palin decided to be against it, but still used the $300 Million elsewhere.
Who are you kidding with that bullshit? Not me, I'll tell you that. You can't even compare it.
"You think Couric did a number on Palin,"
That's the opposite of what I think. I think Palin did a number on herself. She sounded clueless. Absolutely clueless. She has no idea what she's talking about. And I'm tired of the sexism in this Campaign. Shielding her because she's a woman. It's unfair to Palin and the public. If you don't have confidence in her to answer simple to the point questions, why pick her? We know that answer, don't we?
Couric asked easy questions. Questions you could answer.
"Then I want Obama on Rush and we can see who is the deer in the headlights."
Rush is a racist idiot. A divider. Are you comparing her to Couric?
Knock it off. You sound terrible.

30. "I don't get this logic at all."
Of course you don't Paul. Maybe if you looked at it objectively, you might just get the logical conclusion. The Bail Out Proposal was out last Friday. McCain hadn't even read it yet. Said nothing during the meeting today until the very end to hold up the process where both Republicans and Democrats had already been working on this together.
"McCain insists on staying in Washington to concentrate on the most important US legislation of the past 100 years and someone thinks McCain wants to put himself first?"
That's right Paul. He's not needed. The leg work has been done. He was there for the photo op today Paul. Didn't you see? Didn't you hear? "The fundamentals of the Economy are strong" Paul. "We are in a crisis". Which one is it?
"Meanwhile, Obama insists that he and McCain sit and talk about the bailout somewhere in Mississippi (as if they can't talk about it in Washington DC) and that insistence on a debate is somehow NOT putting Obama first?"
Obama is putting us first. You first, and the our future first. The debate should go on. It needs to go on. We need to see and hear who can get us out of this mess.
"How does that make sense in any logical universe?"
Makes perfect sense. Biased people like you, don't understand logic.
"Obama chides McCain by saying that "...the president should be able to do two things at once.""
Uh huh. You don't agree?
"This is an absolute absurdity that betrays how shallow Obama's understanding of just how grave the economic situation in America really is."
McCain announcing a Suspension of his Campaign when in all actuality there was no suspension just to try to change what's going on, shows absurdity that betrays how shallow McCain's understanding of just how grave the economic situation in American really is.
"Let me put it to you this way, if I'm going in for open heart surgery, I certainly don't want my cardiac surgeon up to his elbows in my chest while scanning his stock portfolio, roasting a chicken in a nearby oven, and working on his golf stroke all at the same time."
This is a nonsensical comparison.
"Yes, the President of the United States certainly must multitask at times, but prudence dictates that a REAL leader recognize when it's time to concentrate his/her energies on the most important task."
Agreed.
"I think that a proposal to use 700B of taxpayer money to bail out mismanaged, greedy, private corporations is the most important task at hand, and it SHOULD require all of our lawmakers' concentrated energy. Anything less than that would be a disservice to the American public."
And an agreement was reached by both parties until Me First pulled another stunt.
"Worse than that, though, spinning McCain's actions to suit your political objectives is just reprehensible."
The spinning hasn't come from me. If that's the case, than 70% of America right now is doing some major spinning.
"Bravo to John McCain for showing that actions speak louder than words--even those words muttered at a debate some 1000 miles away from the center of the crisis."
He hasn't done anything Paul. That's the damn point. He didn't suspend ANYTHING. If he actually suspended his campaign Paul, I might see your point.
