No one asked Palin to memorize his entire career. Couric asked her simply for ONE example to back up her claim that McCain will be the best one to solve the econmic crisis. She could not provide ONE original answer to this question - since the first was Couric's own example, that Palin then parroted.

This is the biggest economic news story in 3 decades. It's the #1 issue on American's minds: how the next administration will pull us out of this disastrous recession, an an unprecedented potential collapse of the US financial markets.

It's not that Palin didn't memorize the "right" answer -it's that there IS NO "right" ANSWER for her to give, since McCain has been anti-regulation his entire career, and pro-business...and now his Campaign Manager (rick davis) is still profiting from the lobbyists that McCain is *pretending* to fight, for political purposes.

17. It is reassuring to see and hear Mrs. Palin. Her appeal is the lack of slick evasive anwers. What is wrong with "I don't know". Seems it would benefit us if politicians were honest with their anwers. Just say "I DON'T KNOW". How many things do we not know about our relatives, friends. Ignorance (meaning unaware) isn't a problem for me, but stupidity is. Mrs. Palin IS NOT STUPID! I believe that when she does learn all the ins and outs, she will remains true to herself, and to Americans.

20. The basic issue here is that Sarah Palin is very, very unqualified for the 2nd highest office in the land. She is the one who said she's "Ready to serve" and "go ahead and stump the candidate". Well, she isn't holding up well at all (understatement). The President of the USA is also the leader of the free world. VP is close behind. Is Palin anywhere close to being competent in this extremely challenging position in our complex world? Are Republican voters literally out of their minds? "Hocky Moms for Palin" voters should lose their right to vote on the basis of sheer stupidity. Look at what voting Republican has done to the US. It's in shambles.

24. Sarah is honest with her answers. Other politicians would just talk circles and the questions because they don't know the answer or don't want to be truthful with what they know. Obama would want the questions asked first to someone else such as Hillary so he could take her answer and change it with a few words while repeating what Hillary would say. The questions are never really answered honest even if it is a YES or No question.

26. Historically, when politicians don't have an answer to a question, they pontificate and give a longwinded response that does not answer the question at all. It drives me nuts. It's refreshing to have someone respond this way without all of the smoke and mirrors. 30. I don't usually comment on this things but this is just getting out of hand. This whole election is starting to make me sick to my stomach. When are the Republicans going to talk about the issues that affect us as Americans? I have yet to hear Palin say what she can/will do as VP. I only hear personal attacks of Obama and his campaign. I try to remain bipartisan in my views; but she is only building herself up by tearing down another. Black, white, red, or blue; let's be smart enough not to make this an issue of race and let's make it about the real issues. I am so disappointed in the people that look at Palin and feel proud. I'm a woman! And I am personally embarassed by the fact that the Sarah Palin cannot answer the question on the issues. We all know that McCain has one foot in the grave. Is she who you want to run your country? I'd rather drive blindfolded! I'd have a better chance of survival! Wake up America!! She's trying to put us on the bridge to nowhere!!!!
