Katie Couric Flusters Sarah Palin
Katie Couric seemed shocked by how little Sarah Palin knew about her own running mate in her one-on-one interview. Two examples: Palin didn't know the McCain campaign manager was still getting money from Freddie Mac, and she couldn't name one thing McCain had done for financial oversight in twenty-six years. And Couric asked her twice. Awkward!

46. I watched....I think Katie Curic, with way too much makeup (looking like a street hooker is never attractive)showed Curics insecurity. She bumbled and looked pissed.
The media has looked desperate.

47. I can't believe the stupidity of some of these comments. The other VP candidate doesn't even know that Roosevelt was president in 1929 and that TV hadn't been invented yet! That should be obvious for a basic high school graduate. To expect Sarah to know everything about McCain is ridiculous. Just a lot of empty words about nothing. She has great common sense and will one day be our President!

48. I remember something called the "Peter Principle"
Does this ring a bell?
We have tried people "just like us" How about trying the elite. Just like Gov. Palin, all these problem thrown at me make my head swirl and I might resort to canned lines. I am a fairly ordinary middle class, middle age mom , above average intelligence like Palin. I may be able to relate to the problems of the average american but would not be able to solve them.

49. Exactly why does Mr. Obama have to sit down with that idiot Sean Hannity and answer his questions on "Fixed News?" I'm not sure how that is relevant to Sarah Palin bombing her first prime-time newscast interview. She just looked and sounded stupid.

50. I didn't find her flustered, I found her honest. How can anyone know everything there is to know in this short period of time? Instead of degrading her you should give her credit for learning so much, and being able to handle herself in such a short period of time. BO (stinks) may be in the game longer than she and I would say that theyre at least lateral, if she's not more. As far as this bail out - what a shame that hard working Americans have to pay the price for irresponsible Americans. The standards were lowered so that "the effin poor and welfare ADVANTAGED" could buy homes that they would never be able to maintain. And for those who purchased ARM loans to save now and maybe pay later (or flip) were ignorant and made bad decisions. Boo effin hoo! I am not rich, I am on disability yet I pay my mortgage and bought my home under normal standards. SHAME SHAME on lefty's - youre killing our country. STOP lowering the standards, make Americans responsible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

51. This is nothing significant concerning any weakness on Sarah Palin's part. If anything, this is a prime example of the mainstream media's liberal bias against McCain/Palin, preferring Barack Obaman (B.O.)/Biden.
When have you ever seen Obama hounded by a reporter in an interview, with long pauses not edited out, to try to dramatically heighten tension, over a pointless question that has already been answered.
That was a pretty good answer, there, saying John McCain saw trouble with Fannie and Freddie two years ago. B.O. has nothing even close to experience, and the liberal mainstream media does not go after him, but instead ignore his weaknesses.
Just say no to B.O.

52. You would have to be either Rich or Stupid to vote for McCain/Palin.

53. Wow! Sarah Palin is clueless. McCain really knows how to pick a winner. Both candidates, Palin and McCain, are a bad choice for America. Palin is inexperienced and McCain has been a terrible Arizona Senator for years. Obama and Biden are in touch with America and know what is going on in the world we live. Thumbs up for Katie Couric and her ability to show America Palin's inexperience on a number of topics. An American leader needs to be well educated and diversed on numerous topics. Palin and McCain has yet to show this to Americans.

55. Look people, you should really quit accepting these fabrications being circulated through email as truth. Start checking out the voting records of the candidates. There are plenty of non-partisan sites out there where both candidates voting records are posted.
The email about Obama removing the American flag from his plane is completely false. The list goes on and on. I used to just delete them now I try to research them and then send the truth back to whoever sent me the email hoax.
If you don't want to check the validity of the stories then just quit forwarding them. Start taking some responsibility.
To the Christians out there who are sending these false stories around... read your Bible. You are not supposed to bear false witness. It is a serious thing to destroy someone's reputation, especially with lies.

56. 43. What would Obama or Biden say to a grilling on the democrats' complicity in prolonging the Fannie Mae Freddie Mac disaster and how Obama has been a beneficiary of this company.
Excuse me but John McCain's campaign manager has been on the Freddie Mac payroll for several years to the tune of 15,000.00 every month.

57. I must respond to the comment that the media made Quayle and Bush look"stupid".... come on ... you must be joking. Even the Republicans did not want Bush at the RNC.... and do we ever see Quayle??
Just look at the level of education... would you hire Palin or Obama? Anyone can see that she is clearly out of her league and I actually feel sorry for her... she has gotten herself into a major mess by saying "yes " and she is unqualified to be the VP of anything .You people need to wake up and look at the facts.... There clearly is only one choice this go round and the CHOICE is OBAMA.

58. Wake up women! This is totally embrassing for women. We complain about equal treatment and equal pay but look at what McCain doing. He is not allowing Palin to answer question and select who she interviews with. Katie did an excellent and fair job in asking Palin questions. Compare the kinds of questions Obama and McCain has had to answer. Palin is McCain token to pull Hillary supporters in. SHAME SHAME, women are too smart to believe that Palin will have any power in the White House.

59. It's so fun to read the comments of the seminar messengers who propagate the drivel from the left. Who the hell cares how much Sarah Palin knows about McCain?!? How does that effect her ability to Govern? The libs are so desperate to get the White House back it's really quite embarrassing for you. Sarah Palin has Executive Branch experience people! Governors are like Presidents of their states. They have the same responsibilities and do many of the same things in their office that the President of the United States has and does. But the sheep don't get it because they've never attended a civics class and have no idea how the government works other than to send them a refund check every year in June... Sarah Palin has more executive experience than Obama and Biden combined. Get a friggin clue!!!! By the way did any of you Sheep notice Barach Obama's Dan Quayle moment the other night? He said he was going to campaign in all 57 states....hmmmmm last time I checked there were only 50 United States....but I do know that there are 57 Islamic States...hmmmm how do you miss the number by seven and just chalk it up to being tired? And you people think we need to be afraid if Palin gets elected??????
DC at 8:16PM on Sep 25th 2008
60. Palin may be a newcomer but so is obama. His vp nominee said it best a speech and talking points do not make you a presidential candidate. At least, Palin has some executive experience. Why is everyone so concerned with the vp, but are not the least bit concerned with the presidential nominee with zero executive experience and no track record of leadership qualification. This argument is a joke. Leadership ability is all that matters, and that is where Palin can at least say that she has taken charge of something and had the courage to lead. How can these assertions be made about Palin's ability, by some, and these same critics completely ignore the fact that obama is not anymore qualified. This is smokescreen to discredit Palin in the eyes of women because she has the ability to take a large part of the white female vote away from obama, which he had a stranglehold on prior to her being announced as mccain's vp nominee.
