Katie Couric Flusters Sarah Palin
Katie Couric seemed shocked by how little Sarah Palin knew about her own running mate in her one-on-one interview. Two examples: Palin didn't know the McCain campaign manager was still getting money from Freddie Mac, and she couldn't name one thing McCain had done for financial oversight in twenty-six years. And Couric asked her twice. Awkward!

91. Actually, this hostile Couric interview on CBS (pronounced "see B.S."), with Sarah Palin reveals the big media bias against conservatives.
These are not interview questions, to find out Palin's opinions, rather, Katie is placing herself above Palin, like a teacher giving a pop quiz to a student that the teacher resents.
That is why we don't get Palin's opinion on topics, but instead, the results are edited, with long dramatic pauses and repeats of any quiz questions that Couric thinks will reveal what Couric wants to present, that Palin is incompetent. When has Barack Obama (B.O.)EVER been subjected to this type of questioning, with long pauses and repeating the questions, by anybody in the big media companies? Never. B.O. is the presidential choice of big media and liberals, so he is not scrutinized at all, and instead, B.O.'s weaknesses are never addressed on the news, in an interview with a major news anchorman.
I think this Couric interview exposes why people do not like big media anymore, because they are not neutral, but rather left wing and liberal, and openly hostile towards conservatives and even the concept of being neutral. Maybe we need a fairness doctrine for the liberal big media, too, and not just against conservatives on the radio.

93. I am more than shocked and flabbergasted at this choice for Vice-President- a heartbeat away, behind a seventy-two-year-old President! This is not only insulting to Americans; it represents a "clear and present danger" to the stability of our nation!

94. The second barber turned to McCain and said, 'How about you?'
McCain replied, 'Go ahead, Cindy doesn't know what the inside of a whorehouse smells like.'

Five minutes later, Cindy shows up to drive John home. "Gosh, John", she said, "this barber shop smells just like your office."

95. OH MY WORD! God forbid America votes for McCain, and words can't describe if he was to pass during office. Sarah speaks as quick as she thinks. I'm sure she has great qualities and so forth but for Gods sakes when you go to make cookies for the next hockey game Sarah make sure you buy the ingredients. This woman is clearly 'just winging it.' Like being vice president will just fall into place and I'll take things as they come, and with a lil' bit of faith by golly we'll make it. ARE YOU KIDDING? I'd rather sink my life savings in scratch off tickets, because at least I stand some sort of chance of winning. She gave the 3 point standard politco answer (which anyone in a position of power is TRAINED TO DO.) 1. Acknowledge that you heard the question and thank them for asking the question 2. Express concern of the issue 3. Do not COMMIT TO ANYTHING but express that you will be sure to talk it over. In the end you just got (in this case 5:35 minutes) of absolute wishy washy vague garbage until the last 5 seconds which is "I'll get back to you on that one." In other words - Don't call us, we'll call you. This interview made my stomach feel the EXACT same way it felt as I watched a plane fly into the WTC...this woman is an accident waiting to happen. She was hail mary pass made by McCain and the eye candy has lost its shine. America, you just heard what we've been hearing for the past 8 years minus the "I'm president now and you can't do s*&t about it sucker."

96. What a cop out to demonize the media. ITS AN INTERVIEW! Just as you would interview for a job get it? Unless you are unemployed (which wouldnt be a shock seeing where republicans have led us), THEY ASK YOU WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO BRING TO THE TABLE WITH THEIR COMPANY! WHAT ARE YOUR QUALIFICATIONS? Obama isn't scrutinized like McCain/Palin cause he ANSWERS THE QUESTION! SHE IS INTERVIEWING FOR A JOB THAT SHE DIDN"T EVEN ASK FOR THE APPLICATION FOR! I gurantee if I showed up at your doorstep an asked you to fill out a resume for a postion making rocket to go to pluto, or a bridge to nowhere, your response would sound JUST LIKE THIS!

97. Wow.. Lorraine from September 25th. Let's try proof-reading our comments before we post them. The Katie Couric interview, although edited still demonstrated the imcompetence of Sarah Palin. It doesn't matter who asked the questions what matters were her answers. Why would I want someone who can't name a constitutional law case to help decide the law? That would be even dumber of me to futher perpetuate her ignorance. I can't speak for Sarah Palin's personality or family values but let's ALL be honest. When you run for public office you subject yourself to the scrutiny of the media. The attacts on her family and personal life were uncalled for and out of line. But any comments about her education and experience were right on the money. Facts are facts!! I agree that Obama is not the MOST qualified candidate for president, however, he is the best man standing at this point. With that being said McCain demostrated poor judgement by selecting Sarah Palin as his running mate. Which makes me wonder how strong his decision skills are for tougher situations. We've all heard the stores, yes McCain is a war veteran, yes he was a POW, etc, etc. However, his war tactics are not what's needed to put this country back on the right path. I think that true change transcends party lines, religious views, and race. True change brings us together because we see that it is for the good of THE MAJORITY, and by majority I mean most of the people, not the caucasian race. Obama brings that change. No he cannot do it alone, nor should he have to. It is the job of each of us to work to make home better. This is our land. We only get so many shots at getting things right. We're on a losing streak right now. Obama is articulate, well-dressed, well educated, and the breath of fresh air that we need. So what if he's black, or red, or green, or blue? We as Americans are such hipocrites. How can we criticize other names for hating us when we hate each other just because of something as unimportant as the color of our skin. What if you weren't what u are? How would you want people to treat you? For those that are not voting for Obama because he is black, congratulations! You're showing us and the rest of the world that we are not truly ready for the change that we need! Be blessed and vote for the best candidate!
