After her questionable interview with ABC's Charlie Gibson, Sarah Palin and the McCain camp decided to take a hiatus from the media. But Palin finally decided do an interview with Katie Couric. After watching the interview, people discovered exactly why she took a hiatus in the first place...she has no idea what she's talking about. Cenk Uygur makes the argument in the clip below:

I read something recently concerning the caucuses during the Democratic primaries. It mentioned how the Obama supporters used an "in your face" style of arguing. It now is considered a street level tactic when trying to rally people to your point of view. It is the same technique as back in the "60's" but was referred to as "confrontational".
The idea being to deflect, change the course, disrupt the discussion. I have seen it work where somebody just blurts something out that is totally off the wall and the discussion chases after that remark. Usually one could see a trace of a smile on the individual who did this as the knew they had altered the course of the discussion.
Recently something was out that the Obama Internet Group was to use the same tactic. They were being told to "Get in one's face with their argument".
So as far as being called a racist or bigot by one of these individuals, just sloff it off. After all in the grand scheme of things, someone who uses that defence is not worth the time or effort in countering it. The trick is to attempt to get the responder to disprove what is essentially a lie. Also an attempt to get someone stop and worry about being liked. We all want to be liked , don't we. Works all the time.

32. Katie Couric intended to trip up Sarah. First she attacked her with an untrue New York Times story..an attack on the campaign director of Sen McCain...Why would that be her first question? w She sneered about Sarah's mention that she could see Russia from her house...Asked what made her thing she is qualified to be vice president. Couric asked, "do you think there's a chance of another great depression?" Later, Couric told Sen McCain that Sarah had predicted a great depression. No, the word "depression" did not pass Sarah's lips....that was Couric's word. It was one sneering, deceptive thrust after another. Did Couric sneer like that at Obama?

33. The reps also went way out of their way to present
w as "one of us",you know, the guy you want to have a drink with.
Turns out he wasn't close to being one of us.
I don't want my drinking buddy in charge of my
country.
I don't want a provincial hick a heart beat away
from running our country.Especially one with
dominionist designs.
You say Obama is elitist,I believe he is an elite
thinker.
Reps seem to hate anybody that is obviously smarter
than them, especially if that person is black,or in
Obama's case half black.

Case in point, the above.
Enough said.
