And the kicker is they're not sorry...

Here's the short version of the story, covered first by Brian Maloney with followups from Michelle Malkin and Captain Ed.

The leader of the Bronx-based Gloria Wise Club, Charles Rosen, reportedly loaned $480,000 in the startup Air America radio network, at the request of Air America chairman (at the time) Evan Cohen. The Gloria Wise Club was to benefit from the interest that Air America would pay on its loan. At the time the alleged transfers of funds took place, Cohen was also board member of the Gloria Wise Club.

Evan Cohen was sacked at Air America, and the was company sold to new investors. No one knows where the money went (though it presumably went right into the kitty of the cash hemorrhaging radio network) , or if any of the money has been ever been repaid. Because the Gloria Wise Club depends heavily on federal and city funding for its operations, New York City's Department Of Investigation (DOI) is investigating the charity for financial mismanagement specifically related to the Air America debacle.

So what does the network of Al Franken, Janeane Garofalo, and Jerry Springer have to say about this "loan," which literally robbed seniors and kids of needed services? Brian Maloney received this response from Air America:

"On MAY 24, 2004 the newly formed PIQUANT LLC acquired the principal assets of AIR AMERICA RADIO from the prior ownership entities. PIQUANT has owned and operated AIR AMERICA RADIO since that time. The company that had run AIR AMERICA RADIO till then no longer had anything to do with the network.

"PIQUANT had no involvement whatsoever with funds from GLORIA WISE BOYS & GIRLS CLUB. PIQUANT neither received nor expended any of the sums that are the subject of the City's investigation of the CLUB.

"PIQUANT is not being investigated by the City, which is investigating a transaction that took place before PIQUANT existed."

Translation - We didn't exist as a corporate entity at the time of the swindle, so it can't be our fault. The Air America that stole that money doesn't exist anymore. Obviously this story is a diversionary tactic; plotted and orchestrated by Karl Rove to divert attention from his own troubles...

Action Items:

Call Air America (866-303-2270) on air and ask them "Where's the Gloria Wise Club's half million dollars?" You'll have to get by the phone screeners first - just say you want to talk about Karl Rove or Hillary Clinton...

Update 2: Air America defenders miss the point. It's not about "stealing" the charities money, it's about paying the money back because it's the right thing to do. For those who would like to quibble about the word "steal," think what would happen if you as an individual took out a loan under fraudulent circumstances, didn't pay it back, then skipped town...

Has everyone not noticed that Senator John McCain is ill. His complexion is obviously very pale with and anemic in appearance. The left side of his neck appears to show an increase in lymphadenopathy(lymph node swelling) and he is obviously developing a left sided ptosis(droopy eyelid). These physical characteristics have been blatantly apparent for weeks.

The reality of the situation is that since at least 1 of his 4 melanoma lesions was a Clarks II(invasive) we as Americans must look into whether or not he has had a reoccurance. My thought is that he has developed a new more agressive tumor or metastasis from a previous lesion. If God forbid this man were to win the Presidency he is not likely to survive the first term or the first few years and we would end up with that "stupid woman" Sarah Palin as president.

McCain is bad enough but she is an embarrasment to every educated, intelligent woman in America. If this were to happen America as we know it will end.

It is obvious that he appears to be hiding something as he has been seen by a really great Dermatologist recently. This is evidenced by the obvious facial changes that he exhibited at the debate. It was very odd that his jowel folds were completely gone. When he talked his mouth barely moved and although he continually attempted to furrow his brow his eyes never moved, he was continuously blinking to moisturize his eyes, and finally all of the pocks, pits and wrinkles in his face miraculouly dissappeard. Can anyone say BoTox and Collagen Filler.

If he is ill we as the taxpayors who will be voting in this election need to know. Please express you opinion on is.

12. Bobby - I just watched 60 Minutes too. When Iraqi shop keepers and customers were asked "are you better off now or when Sadaam was here" - they answered NO. When the group was asked "do you want the Americans to leave" - they answered "YES". No matter how good the situation is there, when do YOU think we should leave? According to McCain, we couldn't leave when "things were bad" - now that the Surge has been so wonderful and successful, why can't we leave when "things are good"??

15. Ms. Parker certainly has the right to state her opinion on Palin's perceived abilities or lack of. I think it's fair to say there are others that share her views to some degree at this time. I also welcome Thursday's debate to form a more clear opinion.

With that said, ms. Parker also needs to realize unless she's prepared for her words to boost the opposition for invaluable swing votes she needs to soften her writing to a lesser damaging tone for the time being. Palin is fresh out the gates & hasn't had the same advantages Obama has.

If Parker's a true conservative no matter how badly she thinks Palin's performed in these interviews she needs to think of the alternative. There's one of four choices to be made on Nov.4th. Vote your party preference, the opposing party of radical leftwing partisanship, a write in of Mickey Mouse or stay at home.

Before I voted for a man I'm convinced will add to the present hardships of this nation based on his ineptitude & inability to say he's wrong on the most obvious issues, I'd opt for choice # 3 if I felt that uncomfortable within my own party....
