16. Larry, how typical. I am one of those rare republicans that actually makes my own decisions on issues instead of taking orders from the party leaders or solely getting my updates from fox news. First and foremost, the mortgage problem was precipitated by ignorance, not stupidity. Ignorance is the lack of knowledge of something without intent. Had these "stupids" understood the fine print terminology that only a realestate attorney could interpret, then maybe these predatory loaners wouldn't be able to take advantage of so many and we wouldn't even be talking. Another spot of our misleading nature as a country: glorifying and un-dangering the military in order to practically force people that want to go to college and can't to sign up. I honestly cannot dignify the gas price comment with a response, because all politicians are so deep in oil's pocket they couldn't do anything if they wanted to. You told her to "get a brain," I am telling you to get an original idea. Matter of fact I am telling the whole nation to think with your hearts not with your party. No one anymore, including yourself, even has an opinion about political issues that isn't party based or bound by propoganda of both parties. It is becoming sick. You are all just being the puppets that they are all hoping you would be born for. Keep following your parties, they will lead you to the demise of this once great nation. Idiots.

17. Oh dear. I am not only ashamed of my republican party and the democrats, I am ashamed of this whole nation. Does anyone not realize that the choice Ms. Palin is SOLELY based upon her demographic? You are mistaken and completely naive if you don't think that she was just a visual ploy to balance out McCain. McCain and the whole party do not care at all about her and she will have no power at all, she will barely even have a job. I know if I was a bull-headed old ass man, the perfect thing to get the public's attention off of that is to put a barbie up on stage next to me.

18. Larry:
Thanks for the shout-out!
You like drinking Red Bull, and that's fine "to each his own" and all that.
Also it was really classy and gentlemanly of you to attack a woman, it's no wonder you love McCain!
Like my Bon Jovi says, "Have a nice daaaaaaay!"

19. It's really a shame to see that we are not a better people and instead resort to these shambling about nonsense. What is at stake here when it is all said and over with is the ISSUES PEOPLE, we are all affected in great ways by whom is eventually elected here, us and our children.
We as voters must slow down and investigate what is true and what is false. Who's addressing the issues, who's derailing from them. Who has experience, who does not.
Google it, Youtube it.
I myself have been startled and am almost frightened to see the things that I saw. If you fact check a majority of Palin's speech she is blantly lying through about 3/4 of it. She's asking what the VP spot is, not knowing what the Bush Doctrine is, and avoiding questions over and over, energy is not a response to everything. If she doesn't know something, Bush Doctrine, she tries to make up a response out of thin air instead of just asking.
When McCain's asked about Palin's pick it's like he's brainwashed and repeats answers over and over, again, avoiding questions. This isn't straight talk, this is a mockery and joke of the system. Obama has also said a few things that were not entirely accurate, only about 10% of the time though. Biden I haven't been able to dig up any dirt on.
I look at Obama and hear his speech and feel the change he talks about. I see his voting record and see a change. I see what he's offering and proposing to do and can see factual evidence that he is change from the current administration.
The choice is simple, not McCain/Palin. If we vote McCain/Palin we will get NO DOUBT more Bush. We will very likely attack Iran and instead of starting to pull out of Iraq we'd drag it out further. We'd also no question end up with more lies and corruption that we are hearing about right now during the election.
Bush has a low rating for a reason, PLEASE do the research and then vote.

20. Larry, Well said!! People in this blog are attacking one another instead of looking at the issues. Really, do they think Nanananana is going to solve anything? Frankly, I think the choices on both sides stink. There are other choices, but without the support they need it's doubtful they'll get the votes or the word out. Other candidates are on the internet, but people just aren't researching them; their sticking with their infernal party (D or R). Doesn't anynone realize that those who are running for a different party (Libertarian or Constitutional Party, etc) can be researched? These guys aren't getting the funding the "big wig" D's and R's are getting. They aren't gaining $ for running. At least there is more potential with them of getting someone who is really going to try to change something for the betterment of the country. With these other two Bozo's we get Career politicians, whoop tee do, yippee.

22. first off Palin thinks Iraq, is a war that we can win... and all her bs about using the same tactics in afghanistan are the most insane comments ive heard from her to date. Does she realize that national guard troops are being sent over there... we dont have enough regular army troops, were spread to thin, we never should have went into iraq, she said there were mistakes made in policy about the "war", she pretty much said we should send more troops to iraq, afghanistan and attack iran and pakistan..... sounds like another bushy to me

23. Whew, I'm glad that's over. She was better than I anticipated on many levels. She was not as nasty as I feared they would prep her to be, and she was not embarrassing, which was a relief because I hate to see people embarrass themselves. However, she lacked substance and redirected the questions too much, it was clear she did not have the knowledge base.
I thought Biden seemed nervous, but he did provide the factual information.
Good debate, better than the McCain and Obama one.
