With all the hubbub surrounding the selection process for Sasha and Malia's next school (Sidwell Friends? Georgetown Day?), it's worth remembering that a school is only as good as its teachers. So perhaps we should be focused on the individuals who will be shaping the minds of the adorable First Kids.
Scroll through, then weigh in on who you'd like to see as the Obama girls' next teacher:

1. Parents are the first teachers, as it should be.
It is fortunate for the Obama family that they can afford to send their children to the school of their choice, at the cost of $25,000.00 per year per child. (Talk about being OUT OF TOUCH with the average American).
I don't blame them for putting their child's education first. That is what any responsible parent would do.
Too bad they would deny school choice for the poor families in the Washington, DC public schools.

2. Mary Poppins may not have a teaching credential but she would be my pick.

3. Why not let Barry's good friend William Ayers teach them? That way they can grow up to hate America and be bent on its destruction, just like their parents.

6. so funny thing is, some of you assume that private schools are "out of touch" with average america. i went to private school my whole life and am now attending texas a&m on academic scholarships. my family is definitely not rich, we're middle class. but the thing is, my parents chose to SAVE money for my education since i was born. im also working to pay for some of my own needs. if the Obama's want to send their daughters to private school, then whats it to you? they were going to private school in chicago anyways, its a parents choice, not americas.
regardless, i laughed very hard at the picture of severus snape. i would love to have been taught by him! chemistry would have been much more interesting if potions was involved!

7. Mo Rocca should be their teacher, or maybe Mr. T. Give them a real life experience and send them down on 14th street.

8. Lets see he was good enough for the Obama family before he ran for office for twenty years Rev. Wright is my pick.

9. JillJG---stop hating! It's not Obama's fault that you (or the poor families in DC) cannot afford a private school education for your kids. Were your kids getting a private school education under any of the previous administrations? Then don't wake up and expect them to get handed one now! You want your kids to go to private school??? Then CHOOSE for them to go, and while you're at it, CHOOSE to pay for it, too. Because you best believe WE aren't! Other than that, send your kids to public school and be glad you live in a country where you can.

10. Annie Sullivan is my choice. She was stern and very loving at the same time. (I miss Ms. Bancroft too.)
Malia and Sasha would wind up teaching Mr. Belding a thing or two. BTW, Lisa looked WAY better with Zach than boring Kelly.
Also Happy Friday smooches to my ColOmbian/Italian Yum Yum man!!!!

12. What hypocrites. Obama was so supportive of public schools and public education while wooing the NEA and teacher union support. Now, having been further elevated to the ranks of the governing elite, the public school system is not adequate for his little darlings. An attempt to make the case that it's because of security concerns would be even more condemning. Typical of the liberal elitists, he views himself to be far superior to the masses he rules. How arrogant. How condescending.

13. I thought they were looking for a teacher for the"Obama Girl"
That would be a tough job.

14. Since we're all being taught that multi culturalism is good, let's see these girls go to a real public school, where kids of all backgrounds would be. They need to see how everyone else lives, not just the politically and economically elite. They need to see how white kids, Indian kids, and Hispanics live and view the world, not just their mother's narrow view.

15. Teachers should be Bill Ayers, Bill Bigelow,Saul Alinsky, Wade Rathke, Karl Marx, Malcolm X. Like father like daughters. Warp their minds in the USSA educational system, then they grow up to be easily influenced blind sheep as adults.Make sure they never learn world history or read books, a little intelligence can be dangerous. See Planet of the Apes.
