With all the hubbub surrounding the selection process for Sasha and Malia's next school (Sidwell Friends? Georgetown Day?), it's worth remembering that a school is only as good as its teachers. So perhaps we should be focused on the individuals who will be shaping the minds of the adorable First Kids.

Mo Rocca appears on a bunch of shows, including CBS News Sunday Morning (with the indescribably wonderful Charles Osgood), The Tonight Show on NBC, and NPR's Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me! He's a sometime judge on Iron Chef and was featured on Telemundo's Amore Descarado. Last year he starred on Broadway in the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. His expose "All the President's Pets" was published by Crown in 2004.

We live in a more dangerous time and place than before. We need to wake up and to support Obama to be able to focus his goal for a global solution to the problems of terrorism and economic crises. His family's safety is depended on us all.

48. The president and his wife have the right to choose whatever school they want their daughters to attend. As long as they find a school where the girls will learn under very competent teachers and excel academically, that's should be all that matters. Some of the comments about who should be their teacher is just utterly rediculous. Some people need Jesus in their in lives, then they will not have to make negative comments. Get over yourself all of you who have negative things to say about our President and his family.

49. What really strikes me is the necessity of surrounding two little innocent children with a cadre of protection unnecessary if we did not have the stupidity that reigns on this silly blog. This is a bully pulpit for hate and AOL is completely responsible for it. I am considering changing IPs because of the nonsense that has continually shows up on AOL's blogs. AOL must be run by a bunch of right-wingers or just likes that crass abusive stuff that shows up here because it makes money for them. They are appealing to the lowest level of our society. It is time for thinking people to step off of this bridge to nowhere.

53. Let't get real here. I have 2 daughters in college and spend about $40,000 per year to send them to PUBLIC college. I make too make money for any grants. This is putting a serious drain on my retirement fund. And as for the rebate, I received a partial rebate because my family makes too much money! I really could have used that rebate check for college!!! No way can he be in touch with the Ameican people.

I for one am a caucasian woman and I am proud to live in a country that has by majority overcome the problem of division between us all. If I were able to send my children to a private school, I would. I would rather them be socializing with the better class than the gang bangers and disrespectful whelps that they have to contend with. I don't blame the Obamas one bit.

57. It has everything to do with getting a good education and being safe. If you can buy your way out of going to school with kids whos parents leave them unsupervised, do drugs themselves, are prostitutes, stay out all night and are not taking care of their kids, why shouln't they. We have to make hard choices. I want my kids to be the best they can. I don't care what color my kids friends are, I care if kids around them are distruptive of my kids life.What gives them the right.
