With all the hubbub surrounding the selection process for Sasha and Malia's next school (Sidwell Friends? Georgetown Day?), it's worth remembering that a school is only as good as its teachers. So perhaps we should be focused on the individuals who will be shaping the minds of the adorable First Kids.
Scroll through, then weigh in on who you'd like to see as the Obama girls' next teacher:

76. Shadow - Obama is not president yet nor even president-elect. He will be neither until the Electoral College meets in mid December. Since he has already resigned from the Senate, for now he is just Barack Obama.

79. Really? AOL has nothing better to talk about? Paris Hilton should get another DUI, maybe that would keep this pointless stuff out of the news. Seriously, who cares about this crap?

80. This is about security, period. If any of you were in the same situation, you would make the same choice. Lay off the kids.

83. Why does America really think it is any of their business where the Obamas send their daughters to school? Private school is not something new to these girls. They were receiving a private school education before their father became President of the U.S. It sounds like some "hating" and jealousy are going on! If you wanted your child(ren) to attend a private school, then you should have prepared for this... Michelle & Obama did. YOU get an education & do well so that you can give your child(ren) the opportunities you want them to have. It's friutless to sit back & hate because you cannot provide the same for yours. Obviously, you did not think ahead & prepare for your children they way this couple did. My kudos to President Barack & Michelle Obama!!!

84. To comment # 19... YOU"RE the idiot! Correct English is 'an idiot'... not 'a idiot'. Maybe you would know that if you had paid attention in school... public or private. It's obvious you have nothinbg relevant going on in your life if "where the Obamas daughters attend school" is all you have to be concerned about. Drop it! If you could have sent yours, you would have. Now you're angry because you were not able to provide the same or better for your children. I did not hear any comments when Amy Carter or Chelsie Clinton attended private schools. Face it... they deserve the same secure environments as the white girls!

85. The Obamas do not have to make up for what YOU did NOT do for your kids. It is their right as parents to make the best decisions for THEIR childrn. As daughters of the President of the U.S., SECURITY is an issue. Malia and Sasha must be protected just as all the children of Presidents have been before them. The real issue here is because of the color of their skin. Obama is concerned about the education of all children in the U.S. However, he does not have to allow his children to suffer because you can't afford to send yours to private school. Maybe theynext time you have to make a decision, you will think ahead and put your own children first!

87. DC public schools are spending about $24,600 per pupil this (2007-2008) school year – roughly $10,000 more than the average for area private schools.
Barack Obama, our next POTUS's solution is to spend MORE money on poorly performing public schools.
As a parent of privately educated kids I am all for the Obama's sending their daughters to the best school they can afford, and God bless them for it. By the way, many public school teachers and administrators send their kids to private schools, too.
My point is this. Public school kids (and tax payers)in D.C. are getting badly short-changed. Their parents need better choices, too.
