Did playing Batman get to Christian Bale? As The Dark Knight breaks box-office records and positive reviews flow in, Reuters has an unseemly story about Bale's alleged off-set behavior.

The press is reporting that Bale was taken to a London police station and grilled about an assault charge made against him by his sister and mother. He has denied the charge, but the L.A. Times blog suggests the incident involved Bale's response to something said to his wife.

On our show a little while back, we were having a discussion on whether there was anything gay about the movie "3:10 to Yuma." I vigorously defended the movie against any and all gay charges. I even wrote a whole article about how it definitely was not gay!

But some charge that Russell Crowe and Christian Bale played characters that could could have been construed as gay guys who were attracted to one another but acted manly. They weren't and they didn't, but there are guys of course out there who act completely "straight" but are actually gay (I need the PC police to calm down on this and let us have a little fun here; I understand in fact that things are more complicated than men acting just "gay" or "straight").

I realized as we were talking about this that there isn't a very clear term in the pop culture lexicon about such guys. You know, the guys who watch football, drink beer, dress like slobs, couldn't care less about interior design, but are into dudes.

There is the reverse term -- guys who act "gay" but are straight -- we now call these fine folks "metrosexuals." So, we asked our audience to come up with the best name to describe the opposite of a metrosexual. And they came up with bunch of great possibilities which we narrowed down for you. Now, we're going to ask you to settle this important question for us through one of our completely scientific and fool-proof AOL polls.
