Here's the first twenty minutes of Michelle Obama's eagerly anticipated appearance on The View, which we just watched over on Salon's Broadsheet. Talk about a slam dunk. Even if you're not as besotted with the Obamas as we are, you have to admit, she worked that TV show for all it was worth.

Everyone there seemed enchanted by her, even conservative co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who Michelle made a point of saying nice things to, like: "This girl is solid. She's got great kids. She's a great mom. She's funny. I can disagree with her on a whole bunch of points, but we can come together tomorrow." They fist-bumped, too!

John McCain was on The View and the women ate him alive. They asked the best questions on the war of anyone on TV. Joy Behar stone cold busted him on the Iraq War:

I don't mean to be harsh but you would have to be stupid to leave "The View", a major network show headed by one of the most respected women in television, to seek another opportunity at E! Richard Johnson reports:

An on-air dig from co-host Rosie O'Donnell during an episode of "The View" this week left co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck in tears after the taping, sources told Page Six. "Elisabeth just can't take it any more," the insider said of her tensions with O'Donnell, who constantly slams her conservative stance. Things got especially ugly on Wednesday. Hasselbeck said she supported the government's access to citizens' phone conversations. Liberal O'Donnell responded, "Elisabeth, you are very young and you are very wrong. Hasselbeck accused Rosie of ageism and broke down later off-camera. By yesterday afternoon, Rosie had blogged: "i said some of elisabeth's comments were ignorant which was ignorant itself." This wasn't the first time the women have clashed on camera, but sources told us the insult was the last straw for Hasselbeck. "Her days there are numbered. She is looking to leave," said the spy, who hinted that Hasselbeck was shopping for a permanent spot at E!

Elizabeth, I'm not a huge fan and I disagree with everything you say, and then some, but I love to hate you on the show so please hear me out. I'm not sure where you came from (yes I know you were one of the skinny girls on Survivor) or why you were chosen for "The View" but its a REALLY good gig. My dear, you've peaked. It will never get better than this for you. Say some freaky Christian prayers for Rosie and thicken up that skin.

PS....Rosie I don't think you need her prayers, I totally dig you.
