Buzzfeed has a wacky story up (taglines: "crazy craigslist ads, milfs") about a woman named Deven Trabosh who is selling her Florida home for $344,000 and offering to stick around as a companion for an extra $500,000.

A single mother, she decided she was tired of dating sites and figured she'd just go the old-fashioned route and sell herself to the highest bidder.

Do STD Dating Sites Liberate or Quarantine?

Nerve has up an interesting article by Lynn Harris about the many dating sites targeted at people with STDS. Here's an excerpt:

Dating websites for people with the same STI seem like a natural niche, one that includes PositiveSingles.com, H-Date.com and the genre's warhorse, MPwH.net (Meet People with Herpes), which was founded in 1997 and has more than 70,000 active members. Newcomer PositiveFriends.com has a photo-editing application that allows you to upload photos which obscure your identity, zooming in on just your tattoo or your eyes. Another new site, VDdate.com, feels a bit rickety with its use of outdated terminology like "venereal disease," but its presence reinforces the point: many STI sufferers are opting out of the general singles population and sticking to their own private dating pool.

Are Women 'Depreciating Assets'?

Craigslist has produced many internet classics in our time. Personally, I have seen friends have unbelievable sexual liaisons through people they met secretly on Craigslist. I knew a girl who just put an ad out for a man to buy her a microwave and someone appeared at her door the next day with a free microwave. I'm not kidding.

But this latest story might take the cake. An unabashed gold-digger in New York put an ad up on Craigslist asking to meet a man making over $500,000. She explained that men making just $250,000 wouldn't cut it:

"Okay, I'm tired of beating around the bush. I'm a beautiful (spectacularly beautiful) 25 year old girl. I'm articulate and classy. I'm not from New York. I'm looking to get married to a guy who makes at least half a million a year. I know how that sounds, but keep in mind that a million a year is middle class in New York City, so I don't think I'm overreaching at all.

Are there any guys who make 500K or more on this board? Any wives? Could you send me some tips? I dated a business man who makes average around 200-250. But that's where I seem to hit a roadblock. 250K won't get me to central park west. I know a woman in my yoga class who was married to an investment banker and lives in Tribeca, and she's not as pretty as I am, nor is she a great genius. So what is she doing right? How do I get to her level?"

My favorite part is when she tells us how "classy" she is. Yes, this ad is nothing but classy.

So, someone responded. And they let her have it.
