Who can take these guys seriously anymore? No Fox News "reporter" or "news anchor" should ever be hired in a real news station anymore. You don't agree, then watch this:
They've become a self-parody. "Fair and balanced" has become a synonym for "we do the exact opposite of what we claim."
Carl Mayer is a New York Jets season ticket holder and he thinks he has been lied to and robbed -- by the New England Patriots. He has sued the Patriots and their coach Bill Belichick for $184 million. His claim is that there was false advertising and customers were deceived. They thought they were paying for fair games, but what they got instead were rigged games where one side was cheating. He calls it consumer fraud.
Interesting point. I disagree with the premise but it is clever. One of the reasons I disagree is because apparently this practice of taping the other side against league rules was rampant in the NFL, according to former coaches. The way the NFL destroyed all of the evidence they collected from the Patriots has also opened up new conspiracy theories. Could this be the NFL's version of the steroid controversy, something that challenges the integrity of the game?
In the video below we explain the lawsuit and how the NFL is trying to bury this issue (and why reporters won't ask the Patriots players how they cheated):
