President Barack Obama's first year in the White House is ending with a heavy dose of compromise. To accomplish his other goals, Obama will likely have to keep up the give and take. A sampling of what his 2010 compromises could look like.

Most experts agree that the United States' best opportunity to kill or capture Osama bin Laden came in the earliest days of the U.S.-led response in Afghanistan, when bin Laden fled from Kabul to Jalalabad to Tora Bora. Now, Peter Bergen, the author of "The Osama Bin Laden I Know," has written a definitive account of the U.S.-orchestrated attack on Tora Bora for The New Republic.

The economy grew at a 2.2 percent pace in the third quarter, as the recovery got off to a weaker start than previously thought. But all signs suggest the economy will end the year on stronger footing.

The FBI is looking into what the government says was a cyberattack on Citigroup (C), probably from inside Russia. The Wall Street Journal reports that the action "resulted in a theft of tens of millions of dollars by computer hackers."

Tyson Junior apparently wanted to make a grand entrance. The newborn, whose family lives in a remote village at the bottom of the Grand Canyon, was born in a helicopter when his mother went into labor Dec. 15, KPNX reported.
