Hillary Hits Obama for Kindergarten Essay

I knew Hillary was going to take the gloves off but this is ridiculous!

via James Taranto at the WSJ, a Clinton press release:

At an event in Boston this evening, Senator Obama claimed for the second time today that he is "not running to fulfill some long held plans" to be elected President, contradicting statements his friends, family, staff and teachers have all made about him. . . .

In third grade, Senator Obama wrote an essay titled 'I Want To Be a President.' His third grade teacher: Fermina Katarina Sinaga "asked her class to write an essay titled 'My dream: What I want to be in the future.' Senator Obama wrote 'I want to be a President,' she said." [The Los Angeles Times, 3/15/07]

And then there's the Kindergarten reference.

In kindergarten, Senator Obama wrote an essay titled 'I Want to Become President.' "Iis Darmawan, 63, Senator Obama's kindergarten teacher, remembers him as an exceptionally tall and curly haired child who quickly picked up the local language and had sharp math skills. He wrote an essay titled, 'I Want To Become President,' the teacher said." [AP, 1/25/07]

Now, those of you out there reading this, raise your hands if you've ever written an essay on becoming president when you were a tyke. I'm speculating safely that a large fraction of you are raising your hands. And if you have, shame on you if you ever run for president while claiming that this is a new direction!

Because obviously, you're third grade essay laid bare your whole diabolical plan from the beginning! And Hillary has your number. This is beyond sad, this is opposition research out of control with no context or regulation. And if Hillary is using this now, I have to believe that she has nothing on Obama. If she had something good she was saving for later, why even mess with this?

Not to mention that it also underscores the Hillary Clinton narrative as ruthless and unprincipled. Obama wins this one, easily.

UPDATE: The Jawa Report finds a long lost evidence of Obama's wild partying days. Ha!
