Give the funds to the salvation army, they will make good use of it this x-mas. The more I hear this man Ron Paul the better I like him,

He should do what the other candidates do...it is funny how Ron Paul gets singled out for receiving a campaign contribution from a white supremacist. I am willing to bet every other candidate has received a contribution from a white candidate(less Obama - and he has probably received similar contributions from so-called black supremacist). However, somehow the light gets shined on Ron Paul. Send it back, keep the contribution or donate it to charity, it really doesn't matter! This is all propaganda to shed a negative light on the Paul campaign by raising sidebar issues that have no relevance to the debate between candidates. Ron Paul 2008!!!!!

No only should he donate the money to a worthy charity, but to a group that would make the white supremacist who donated the funds angry. A charity that provides famine reflief in Africa would fulfill both of those requirements.

This is really stupid! Gimme a break. How many racists out there get it from other campaigns especially those that support the war.
Note: I am Latino and look down upon racism.
Keep the donation Dr. Paul.
Dixie11:08AMDec 20th 2007
Ron Paul has accepted donations from all kinds of neo-nazi contributors as far back as his very first failed congressional campaign in the mid to late 70s against Bob Gammage. I am quite surprised this has not been brought to light before this.

No American should want that money returned. The other candidates take in millions from the special interests like the military industrial complex to ensure these wars never end. Then they get millions in free tv, radio and print exposure because the companies that make money off war own most of the media outlets.
Keep it Ron and spend it on a good cause, promoting America and liberty, not endless war and fear mongering like the other guys are.

Is this the ONLY thing you can find to dog Dr. Paul about? So what? Whether you agree with Don Black's view or not, he has as much right to believe them as you have not to. Ron Paul believes in YOUR right to believe what you want ... as well as Don Black's right to believe what HE wants. GO RON PAUL!!
sally12:19PMDec 20th 2007
This is ridiculous, the man must donate it to the investigation committies that will be on this soon, so I dont have to pay them for it, through my taxes
michael in nh12:45PMDec 20th 2007
I'm pretty sure Ron Paul would find it ethically wrong to give the money to a charity. The money was given to be spent on his campaign, and thus his only options are to use it for the campaign or give it back. As he stated in an interview yesterday, he will not give it back back because it would probably be used for more harm that way. This would be an issue if Ron Paul was influenced by those who donate. He is not. The real issue should be those candidates who are influenced by their donors, especially when those donors are special interest groups who do not have the good of the people as their top priority.

This poll was posted on a popular white supremacist forum by an "Odessa" so it's likely going to be stuffed... Anyway the funds should be refunded and no white supremacist neo-nazi donations should be accepted ever again by him or any other candidates. Racism must be stamped out.
wes2:06PMDec 20th 2007
This article is ridiculous. This is nothing more than the liberal media trying to distort Ron Paul's image, and it's funny how they are the ones always nagging on racial strife and starting controversies.
Ron Paul does not believe in racism, and if the money was donated to him he should accept it. It's not like he's accepting this man's views with the money. Give it a rest. Vote for Ron Paul in '08 for LIBERTY!!!!

The idea that a candidate should even take 2 seconds to investigate the accuracy of claims made against his/her contributors is .. smart politically, weak morally. Those are 2 seconds that could be spent on ISSUES. When I heard about other candidates returning money from contributors, I was pretty disappointed.
Paul seems different, so I think and hope that he won't get involved in this kind of politicking. The only exception I can imagine, is if he had verifiably stolen money donated directly to him.
Vincent3:24PMDec 20th 2007
Wow people are dumb. It doesn't matter if you don'
t agree with a person's personal views. They have the right to donate to whomever they want and to have it used for what was intended. Why is this hard to understand? What next....return the money of every person with a non-popular view? This is not the way Americans should think. The poll disappoints me.
John Pinero4:31PMDec 20th 2007
Who cares? You going to tell me Obama has not accepted money from Black Racists or Clinton has declined all money received from Racists. Just doesn't happen. You get a contribution, use it or donate it. Does not matter in the greater scheme of things.
And why is the Media singling Paul out?
Finally, its not likely Paul is goingto be elected anyway, so back to 1st question. Who cares?
Armadamk4:36PMDec 20th 2007
F@#ck Aol, Time warner your a bunch of manipulating pigs, Screw the Ilumaniti, Skull & Bones The Feds, you Jerks are trying to manipulate our country Ron Paul is the answer, our Founding Fathers Choice.
joe4:38PMDec 20th 2007
NAACP?? That is just another racist organization. Give it to a real charity.
Damon4:38PMDec 20th 2007
This is just idoicy. They are really milking this thing for much more than its worth. Ron Paul isnt in any way endorsing or supporting their ideas; why should he give it back. HIS STANCE ON THE ISSUES IS THE IMPORTANT THING. He doesnt associate himself with that white supremesist philosophy. His supporters are of all colors and backgrounds. Do some research on the man and you will see that he would make a great president. He's got my vote.
