Iowa is like NFL preseason...who cares?
Sure it brings money into the state and gives the TV talking heads some material...but who cares.
Primaries are mere pandering to political bases.
Iowa is just as irrevelant and New Hampshire...two "who cares" states.

What we need is common sense in the White House for a change - We need Ron Paul - Choosing between the others be they democrats or republicans is just like choosing between six of one half a dozen of the other. Please READ about each of these people. Google Ron Paul. He is the only one who will work for "we the people".
owenajaz8:49AMJan 4th 2008
Iowa's Anti-Mormon vote elected Huckabee but he will never be able to win the national election regardless who the Democratic candidate is.
Vincent8:50AMJan 4th 2008
We need Ron Paul, he showed that he is a real candidate last night almost tripling Giuliani's numbers and coming in only slightly behind McCain in a state full of religious hicks. WE MUST CONTINUE TO FIGHT TWICE AS HARD!!!!!!

If you vote for any "experienced" politician, you vote for the USA to fail. They haven't done anything for us now, why would they if they were re-elected or elected to the White House?
Save our kids future...

WE NEED A DEMOCRATE!! OBAMA / EDWARDS!!! We don't want another Bush!!!
Cynthia8:54AMJan 4th 2008
I am a Huckabee supporter. I haven't always been, but the more I find out about the people running the more I believe that he stands for most of what I stand for...saying that, I am just thankful that Hillary Clinton got third....that is hilarious!
ppdsgb8:57AMJan 4th 2008
Go to the dogs?? Have you not been listining? Every Democrat running wants to raise your taxes, implement new programs that will raise spendindings by Trillions and turn our country over to any that makes the most noise. Is that really what you want????
KC Martin8:59AMJan 4th 2008
I agree with EDS777. The "people" deserve better, so bite your lip and vote for the people...

DON'T LISTEN TO THE MEDIA! RON PAUL IS THE MAN!
RON PAUL! RON PAUL! THE REST OF THE PACK ARE MERELY TOOLS OF THE SAME SYSTEM! NOW IS YOUR CHANCE AMERICA!! RON PAUL FOR PRESIDENT!

Interesting results in Iowa. Goes to show that no one can predict what independent Iowa will do. The religious right helped Huckabee's momentum. It will be different for him in New Hampshire. He will have to address more non-religious issues there. New Hampshire does not like to combine religion and politics.
Obama made a sweeping victory over Clinton. I think that Iowa has shown (at least in more conservative rural states) that slick, staged, and autocratic response from Hillary are not bought line, hook and sinker. I believe it reflects the idea that (at least) Iowans will accept a man of color rather than a woman of seasoned Washington politics.

The Democrats don't have a candidate with any experience and their socialistic leanings are not good for America. We need a strong conservative who will reduce taxes, secure our borders and continue to fight against terrorism. Radical Islam, I am sure, is happy that America is now leaning toward liberalism as it will make their work much easier. Think, America!
Algore9:05AMJan 4th 2008
Barry Obama is a racist Africa Firster. Anybody that votes for him is a even bigger fool than anybody that votes for Hillary.
Not that the former Governor from Tyson Foods is much better. Think of him as a combination of Bill Clinton and Jorge Bush. He's got that whole faking sincerity thing down pat.
The only chance this country has of surviving is to elect Ron Paul, and even that is a slim chance unless the citizens take their government back started at the state level.
Jim9:06AMJan 4th 2008
I have been a life-long republican but enough is enough. Ron Paul is the only sensible and logical candidate to return this country to our original constitutional standards.
Ben9:07AMJan 4th 2008
HEY! CHECK THIS OUT! IN SPITE OF THE SAD FACT THAT IOWANS VOTED FOR THE MUSLIM OBAMA, THE MEDIA FORGOT TO TELL US THAT RON PAUL BEAT GUILIANI IN EVERY PRECINCT!!! HA! THAT SHOULD TELL YOU SOMETHING! EACH CAUCUS WILL REVEAL MORE AND MORE AMERICA'S CHOICE FOR OUR NEXT PRESIDENT. RON PAUL!!! HOPE FOR AMERICA! JOIN THE REVOLUTION!!!

How can the state of Iowa be a representation of the rest of the Democrats when they only had about 2700 votes for the Democrat candidates. Obviously a Republican, no more needs to be said.
Artgirl9:12AMJan 4th 2008
Cynthia: Gotta wonder what it is you "stand for?" I am a Christian, who is a democrat. If you take a hard look at the democratic ideals, you will see far more of "what would Jesus do" in that ideology. However, maybe you are a part of the 'top three percent' of Americans who benefit from the economic policies of the Republican party. If that the case, congrats! You are rich, not an ignorant right wing Christian who votes purely on your own definition of morality.
