Duncan Hunter Voted Off the Island
And then there were six in the GOP race. California congressman Duncan Hunter is dropping out, after a miserable showing in Nevada and pretty much everywhere else. I spoke briefly with Hunter's spokesman Bob Bevill, who said the candidate spent most of his time in recent weeks dispelling rumors that his campaign was already toast. The loss in the Silver State today was the nail in the coffin.
"The media has a 'vote someone off the island' mentality and Duncan Hunter was a casualty of that," Bevill said.

Good luck to Duncan Hunter for his future. I'm very disappointed that he's out of the race. He's a good man and would have made a great president or VP. I wish he was able to raise more money as that would have made a huge difference. Maybe he will endorses Mitt Romney. (o;

The last of the dinosaurs dying off leaving a better than average crop of candidates.

After 8 years in the crosshairs of a hunter we are desperately in need of a bushwhacker.

It seems all the best candidates for the GOP in terms of honesty/voting record and level of "conservativeness"
the media tries to stomp out IE Ron Paul, Duncan Hunter, Fred Thompson and all the others that got pushed out earlier.
It seems that America doesn't like an honest candidate or they are too stupid to see that being the president of the United States does not give someone power to force a job back to your state or bring religon into your schools.

After decades of deceit, Americans are now ready for straight talk. While my heart is with the Huckster, Lazarus won a hard fought battle and deserves a pat in the back. Try as I did, I could not find fault in his leadership. To forge forward, he has reached across the aisle in the most challenging of issues.
I have always said that if not Huckaboom, Lazarus was the next best choice. Wounded he might be, Huckaboom vows to go on. Go Huck GO.

Barack is playing with kids gloves against Billary who's wielding a sledge hammer and clobbering him hard. She is going for gold. She's using everything there is in the book and even throwing the book at him. He needs to get off his Fonzi cool and get in the Tyson mode and swing away like a mad man, using everything he's got including his teeth. If he thinks The Machine will hand him the victory without a fight, he is both naïve and out of his mind. The Machine will chew him and spit him like old gum.

I could have cried when I heard Duncan Hunter pulled out. We thought and still do, that he wouldhave been a great president. I agree with what I heard on the radio. A woman called in and she was upset because her pick for pres. did not recieve enough votes so he won't be on the ballot in her state. She thinks all of the candidates should be on the ballot in Nov. Then it would be a pres. picked by the people and not by the media, radio or buy how much money you have, or who backs you. thank you

I really wish he hadn't dropped out but I understand why.
If he gets more exposure in the next 4 years I think he would win the 2012 elections with no trouble... I hope he goes for it!
the people have lost a really good choice for president.

We fully support Mitt Romney as the true conservative candidate of those vying for the nomination. McCain has a super liberal record that is undependable or fuzzy on conservative ideals of smaller government and individual responsibility. He fought the Wisconsin Right-to-Life Committee on their pro-life campaign and reaches for big government control any time there is controversy. His work in the war on terrorism has been, at best, minimal, far less than is being touted by the media. The truth of the matter is that if McCain was going to do ANYTHING to help turn around our economy, he would have done it by now. But he hasn't. Having said this, though, I think he would make a good Vice Presidential candidate with Mitt Romney as President. The two would complement each other nicely. Romney is the strong one on turnarounds, low taxes, robust job growth, foreign competition, energy independence, and making the U.S. dollar strong again. He is a good man, has the right values, and a gentleman. These are qualities we often regret not having in the White House. I encourage my fellow citizens to get behind the man who can do the most...Mitt Romney! -- Dr. Chartrand
