Ann Coulter Endorses Hillary over McCain
Feb 1st 2008 8:09AM
Filed Under:eHillary Clinton, Republicans, John McCain, Featured Stories
If you were watching "Hannity and Colmes" last night, you might still be scratching your head. Their guest was Ann Coulter, and she treated the television audience to a new benchmark in "conservative" posturing. No, she wasn't offering her usual schtick against liberals. What threw the hosts for an utter loop was her unexpected embrace of Hillary Clinton. Just how much does she, like Rush Limbaugh, hate John McCain? By way of comparison between him and Hillary Clinton, Ann said the following:"She's more conservative that he is."
and
"I will campaign for her if it's McCain."
and
"She lies less than John McCain. She's smarter than John McCain."
I know. You think I'm making it up, or somehow taking her words out of context. Here's the video.
These are sad times for conservatives. They're being crushed by the Dems in the money game. They hate their candidates. The situation in Iraq shows signs of another downturn. The economy sucks. No wonder pundits like Coulter are looking for plan B.
Still, for someone like Coulter, who supports Mitt Romney, to say that her best second choice isn't fellow Republican John McCain, but Hillary Clinton... now that's a leap. Yesterday, our own Eric Schulzke penned a hate note to John McCain on the board titled, "John McCain: Straight Talker or Serial Liar." Which brings us to Pajamas Media's John Cole who wonders what the many of us are thinking:
"It sure would be nice to think that the base of the dwindling GOP is not as batsh**t insane as the nutters at NRO, Red State, etc., but I have not seen much evidence of it. The thing that needs to be said, over and over, though, is that Rush Limbaugh and those guys simply aren't conservatives. They just aren't. Radically restructuring government to create an unaccountable executive is not conservative. Building a security apparatus that is designed to spy on citizens is not a conservative principle. Runaway spending and bloated budgets are not conservative ideas. Torture and permanent aggressive wars are not conservative principles. Fearmongering and keeping the electorate scared is not a conservative principle. And on and on."
Yes, McCain presents a dilemma for the GOP hard-liners. But by the all or nothing binary equations they demand 'true conservatives" follow, who doesn't?

I love Ann Coulter. She has guts, and is NEVER afraid to speak her mind. I, too, am a conservative and hate that McCain is pulling the wool over so many eyes. And all those phony endorsements he has been receiving....get a life, folks. These folks are jumping on board because they forsee an "appointment" if McCain gets in. The folks who have given him their support are LIBERALS FOLKS! Arnold?? He is married to a Kennedy for pete's sake. He knows that if McCain wins the nomination, Hillary has a much better chance of winning (perish the thought) the election and that is their goal. The New Dork Times also. McCain is their favorite Liberal Republican. This is scary. Mitt Romney is the VERY BEST PERSON FOR THE JOB. And he is honest. And he is rich....No need to have his hand out....I'm glad to be very close to 60 years old and not facing the next 30 years in our beloved America.

Ann Coulter is the most despicable human being on tv today. She has no more appeal than a crack whore. . . but then maybe that is why they all seem to gravitate to her.

Looking at the choices between Clinton and what the Republican party is putting up, as much as I hate to say it, I would have to vote Hilary at this point and I have been a conservative Republican for 67 years.

Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity, Eric Schulzke and the rest of you need to realize something. You had your time and you blew it. George W. Bush was your boy, now don't try to pretend he wasn't, it's too late and we know better.
You had the chance to usher in neo-Conservatism at a time when most Americans would have supported and encouraged it (even me). You mismanaged it so badly that now, even if the idea is sound and arguably workable, it's dead and your boy and his crew killed it.
So sit down and STFU every last loud-mouthed one of you.
PS. Ann Coulter is not fooling anybody. She wants Hillary in office more than she wants another dirty martini. She made her career off of hating Hillary and 4-8 years...sheesh, Ann could retire to that house in the Hamptons after that. Coulter is a phoney and loves this country about as much as Osama bin Laden loves it.

Ann if you are serious about your endorsement of the Marxist Hillary over John McCain, I hope you take a ride on a train and it goes off of a bridge.
Republicans are tired of you fake conservatives making money on the sweat of our backs.

The real dream team - Clinton and McCain, or McCain and Clinton. A true bi-partisan party, a blend of ideas, a consensus of the people. Two experienced work horses who know how to govern by the law.
People like Coulter can go suck rotten eggs. News networks like CNN (who is advancing Obama run so they can launch Bloomberg when Obama fails) or Fox (who is advancing Romney).

i am taken back with the news that ann coulter is backing the clintons. if she backs one clinton she must be backing the other. as sharp as ann coulter is she has destroyed my faith in females that are in a posittion to be influental. i was hoping that her highly opionated personnality would show that she could with stand the clintons. if you think mccain is a liberal what the hell are the clintons. way to go ann. maybe you and allen combs will be buddies now

Those who don't like McCain should stand behind Mike Huckabee. He's the real conservative caring about working people like us. None other candidate has any chances to win general elections.
glenn9:30AMFeb 1st 2008
as a republican i can understand why she said what she said. The dems will win the election , i believe, because God is going to give this country what we have told Him we want in a l"leader".Then He will judge us for the sinful nation we have become. Its simple, God is Holy, we have (as a nation)told Him to take a hike....prepare for the consequences.

Why waste a vote on HUCKLEBERRY HE doesn't stand a snowballs chance in Hell of being elected .Wake up Americans and vote Romney the only chance we have to keep the liberals out of the whitehouse

To Ann I invoke the oldest cliche' I know: As a Democrat, with "friends" like you, who needs enemies??" If I hear anything more of you "endorsing" Hillary Clinton - or ANY Democrat - I will devote every available second of my life to launching and supporting a "Boycott Ann Coulter Campaign!!" I have spent much time the last year working for John Edwards (your self-proclaimed "faggot," remember??), so I DO have considerable time to start this nationwide AC Boycott Campaign!!
The time has come for YOU to run for office if you want to run the world!!

Well i see the entire nation not just MS Coulter are tired of the losers hoping will become president, we can not settle for John McCain making an attempt we need a doer not some one with intentions i'm tired of the republicans and its time to have a democrat in the house Hillary has what it takes and if she were to take Obama to be VP that would work too and one thing is that men cant phantom the idea of a woman running the country give her this up coming term and she will prove you wrong when we vote her into office for a second term.
robbie9:41AMFeb 1st 2008
Ann Coulter is despicable and I abhor her, but for one damn time, she's right. People will vote for Hillary over McCain. So, if you're tired of all this misery, you'll vote for America's only hope, Hillary Rodham Clinton. Make no mistake.

Run the country ? All a woman can run is her mouth and errands

Ok folks, please let me set the record straight. Both Ann Coulter and Sean Hannity know that the best candidate for the Republican party is Mitt Romney and I couldn't agree with them more. Unfortunately the liberal media wants John McCain because they know that Mitt has the intelligence to beat any Democratic candidate and John does not. I live in AZ and John McCain is not all that popular here anymore with people who follow the political scene. Unfortunately most Americans don't really follow the news from Washington as far as the House and Senate operate on a daily basis. This is so disappointing to me because if the public remains ignorant about John McCains record and his temper they wouldn't even consider giving him the power to be anywhere near a button to start a nuclear war. He promised the people in Florida that there will be more wars and they still voted for him. He also won that State by promising an appointment to Govenor Crist and lying about Mitt Romney. He has made so many enemies that there is no way anything will ever be accomplished in Washington if he should win. I beg the American people to wake up and cast their vote for Mitt Romney so we can return our Country to a healthy economy for not only us but all future American generations. A vote for anyone else will seal the deal to destroy our lives as we know them today.

Seems like Obama has been gotten too by the left wing of the Dem. party. All he had to do last night was say to Hilary " I am deeply distressed by your campaigns using race as an issue. She would have had to say one of two things.1) that Bill does not speak for her or 2)that Obama's win in SC was not because of race. In either case she would have been severly damaged.
Haydee Florez9:53AMFeb 1st 2008
It is pitiful to watch intelligent people expressing themselves as Ms. coulter did last night. Extremism has never achieved good results in any contest.
As a conservative Republican my vote and effort will
always be on the side of those who believe in a Fair
and Noble America.

If anyone wonders why we should vote for McCain over Hillary in a general election - this clinches it! Why do we keep paying attention to Ms. Coulter? It is the Ann Coulters of this world who are bringing down the Republican party - not people like McCain. Ok, I will give you that McCain is not a hardline, rightwing conservative - but he certainly isn't a liberal! I don't know that someone with more moderate leanings is a bad thing at this point. I'd rather have that than a far-left liberal. We need someone who can bring this country together and McCain will attempt to do that - if his own party will let him.
