Limbaugh: The Country is Doomed
Feb 5th 2008 11:21AM
Filed Under:eHillary Clinton, John McCain, Featured Stories, Media
Unless, of course, it comes to its senses quick and elects Mitt Romney the next president. Short of that, Rush would rather elect a Dumbocrat than a phony Republican. Why? Via the Washington Post:
"If I believe the country will suffer with either Hillary, Obama or McCain, I would just as soon the Democrats take the hit... rather than a Republican causing the debacle," he said. "And I would prefer not to have conservative Republicans in the Congress paralyzed by having to support, our party loyalty, a Republican president who is not conservative."
Note to Mr. Limbaugh: A Republican already has caused "the debacle." We already are suffering the effects of a failed presidency that has been enabled by conservative Congressional Republicans. But like 82% of Mitt Romney's supporters, Rush just refuses to see what more than 60% of all Americans believe.
The other aspect of Limbaugh's rhetoric which is so striking is that he'd rather the country suffer as much as possible over the next four or eight years so that a new crop of conservatives will benefit later. Hooray for the American spirit!

AOL loves to state the liberal side of all subjects.
AOL wants to win the election for Bilary, as far as they are concerned 9/11 was their gods way of paying us back for electing Bush.
We cannot think for ourselves so we need to be told who, what, when, and how to vote for their liberal candidates. Stick it AOL!!!

While Romney will bring honorable peace to foreign affairs, McCain will no doubt push us into a new war with Iran and reinstitute the draft for our young people. Romney is the man to turn around our economic crisis and put value back into the US dollar, while McCain will be at the mercy of an anti-free enterprise Democratic legislature. Romney will not be beholden to special interests. McCain is being bought and paid for by special interests that expect him to reciprocate once in office. Romney has collected more individual contributions than all GOP candidates combined (in spite of the misinformation from the media), while McCain has been absolutely broke, had to borrow, and now is receiving matching funds from the taxpayers. Romney, with a strong running mate, is the man who can beat the socialist Dems this Fall. Vote Romney! --Dr. Chartrand

Rush, I stopped paying attention to you right about the time I found out you were a drug addict. Why do we write off other celebrity drug abusers as "losers" but still keep listening to this guy?

You are full of crap Rush does not want the country suffer as much as possible over the next four or eight years, but when it does you can't blame conservatives. McCain is no conservative.

Everyone should know by now that Rush Limbaugh is a professional demagouge who makes a lot of money pandering to the right wingnuts! Why would anyone, Republican or Democrat, give him any credibility?

The radical right has had 8 years to show us how great they are. What happened? Oh, nothing really...just two wars, a recession, trillion dollar debts, a fading middle class. Limbaugh is from Missouri and we can't stand his rhetoric. We are voting for the true fiscal conservative. Hillary Clinton.

If Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter are the accepted public faces of the Republican party - maybe I should switch parties. They are much, much farther to the right of any and all Republicans I know. They are so extreme in their philosophies that any legitimate points they may make get lost in all the BS. Why the media gives them so much play, I have no idea - probably just to make the rest of the Republican party look bad.
rick1:26PMFeb 5th 2008
Note to comment below...If you honestly believe that Bush has done good, you are obviously someone who can not see clearly or objectively. Even die hard Republicans have disagreed with the way the Bush administration has handled this failed presidency. Bush has to go down as one of the worst presidents ever. Started a war in Iraq the was not justified...okay we went in put he did not have a clear plan, plus Iraq did not attack us. Okay, so you say we are on the offense...just tell me why we didn't diligently go after Obama like we did in Iraq. Bush let Obama win and get away...that is the travesty of it all.

just in virtue of people saying mccain is not conservative makes him all the more attractive candidate for us swing voters. Despite this, Mitt strikes me as mildly retarded 'bling bling.'
Aj Smith1:39PMFeb 5th 2008
Rush, I know you don't care what I think but I am going to tell you anyway!! As a conservative Republican from Arizona I remember Barry Goldwater
who was Mr. Conservative, the person most responsible for the Conservative movement the person who mentored Ronald Regan.Barry was the person who hand picked John McCain to be his predicior in the Senate. I think you need a course in Conservatism!!
Devlyn1:39PMFeb 5th 2008

Sixty percent of Americans have their head up their you-know-whats! Bush has not hurt the country and our battles are necessary and brought on by others. It is the knee-jerk, against any war, against the country liberals that cause most problems and crises in the country... they are just too stupid and self centered to appreciate the damage they do. Rush is right and you are full it, that is full of yourself.
