Limbaugh: The Country is Doomed
Feb 5th 2008 11:21AM
Filed Under:eHillary Clinton, John McCain, Featured Stories, Media
Unless, of course, it comes to its senses quick and elects Mitt Romney the next president. Short of that, Rush would rather elect a Dumbocrat than a phony Republican. Why? Via the Washington Post:
"If I believe the country will suffer with either Hillary, Obama or McCain, I would just as soon the Democrats take the hit... rather than a Republican causing the debacle," he said. "And I would prefer not to have conservative Republicans in the Congress paralyzed by having to support, our party loyalty, a Republican president who is not conservative."
Note to Mr. Limbaugh: A Republican already has caused "the debacle." We already are suffering the effects of a failed presidency that has been enabled by conservative Congressional Republicans. But like 82% of Mitt Romney's supporters, Rush just refuses to see what more than 60% of all Americans believe.
The other aspect of Limbaugh's rhetoric which is so striking is that he'd rather the country suffer as much as possible over the next four or eight years so that a new crop of conservatives will benefit later. Hooray for the American spirit!

The only conservitive I see in the race is Ron Paul.

Nice to hear from America's favorite Drug Addled Gas Bag. Also nice to know Rush would rather the US fall into a pit than let a Republican he doesn't endorse take office. How Christain. How Patriotic. How I wish this bloated excuse for a propaganda minister would forget to look up from popping an Oxy while walking in front of a Very Large Steamroller.

Wow, I think Robert is actually serious, I think he's part of the 40% that believes whatever their told. Let me guess you still think Sadam planned the terriots attacks and that Iraqi is hiding weapons of mass destruction. Good Job! And I suppose you can blame the democrates for the deficate too...

Where has Rush been for the last 8 years? I realize he was stoned out of his mind for most of it, but really.
The conservative Republicans are DONE thanks to his boy, Bush.
They have no one to blame but themselves. They are already trying to act as if Bush never existed, and he's not even out of office.

With a lamebrain radio talkshow host like Rush Limbaugh, our country is doomed enough as it is. I
hope and pray that you'll eat your own words, and
that Obama wins the election, and that's all I've
got to say to you, Rush.

Hey, relax, the DEMO-DUMMIES are going to be serving up great Political fodder for the GOP-A WOMEN AND A MINORITY, IF THIS WON'T GET THE PARTY VOTING WHAT WILL.

Mitt Romney founded Bain Capital which owns Clear Channel which effectively owns Rush, Sean Hannity, Glen Beck among other conservative talk shows. These guys opinions have been bought by Mitt Romney's company! A month ago, Huckabee was the evil liberal REpublican. Now these same guys want Huckabee to quit because he is splitting the conservative vote for Romney. They have lost all credibility.

To the person who so painfully attemted to make the comparison between 8 yrs of Clinton and 8 years of Bush, PLEASE REMEMBER THAT IT WAS THE REPUBLICAN CONGRESS THAT FORCED BILL CLINTON TO BE FISCALLY RESPONSIBLE.

Limbaugh is irrelevant, as are all those who have spent the past 7 years in rapt Bush worship. It's over--get used to it.

As a veteran of the First Gulf War I feel the 350 lives we lost in that war were pissed away when Saddam ejected weapons inspectors from Iraq and Bill CLinton did nothing.
Every single history book I've ever read the guy who puts his hands up and says "I surrender' is not the guy who makes the rules so 350 lives were wasted as Bill let Saddam off the hook.
Just four years later we were in the dark with Clinton-era intelligence on what Saddam had for WMD's.
It has crossed my mind my 10 year old son may get drafted and sent off to the same war I fought in 1991 and that 4000 more Americans have died in because Democrats will not finish the job.

Who listens to Rush anyway?
Kevin Taylor3:06PMFeb 5th 2008
As Rush Limbag gets more and more worked up, as he foams from the mouth, one can only hope for a heart attack or a stroke. Nothing serious enough to kill him, just serious enough to shut him up. Harsh? No harsher than what he wishes on those who disagree with him.

Old Lush Limburger [aka Rush Limbaugh] has no credibality, so why is anyone even the least concerned what he says or... I was gonna say thinks, but came to realize that he dosen`t really think. Just talks..

I quit listening to that bigoted SOB when Bill Clinton was nominated, who gives a rip what he says
Adam3:26PMFeb 5th 2008
you're all bullshit. mccain isn't a republican, he voted against tax cuts, which is a pretty liberal thing. they want to take your money out of your pockets and give it the the welfare scum who sit around all day and claim they have disabilities cause they're fat. Meanwhile you're out busting your ass all day just to give those slobs your money. I don't see how that is good at all. capitalism>socialism. Fuck canada while you're at it, they're morons. I'd have to say that Mitt Romney is the man, he knows what's up and he'd do the right things.
lois3:27PMFeb 5th 2008
Rush, you should be ashamed to lift your head off your pillow each day. Such hypocrisy. Take another pill and go to bed while we watch Hillary become the next president of the USA. You will then have a full time job. Remember hate is a sin

Thirty years of conservative policies, and the neo-cons still don't get it. We are swimming in a sea of red ink, have more poverty and disparity between the top 1% and the rest of us, have 61% percent of the middle class that is 2 paychecks, less than half of working Americans able to take a vacation, 47 million Americans with no health care insurance. etc. Ask yourself this, are you really better off now than you were before the Reagan revolution?
