Farewell, Ron Paul
Mar 6th 2008 9:31PM
Filed Under:eRepublicans, Breaking News, Ron Paul, 2008 President
In a web video to be posted on Paul's website he will tell supporters he is winding down his campaign, which had already taken a back seat in recent weeks to his simultaneous bid for reelection to his Congressional seat.
Ah well. The man who sat atop the AOL Straw Poll all those weeks--but who couldn't consistently earn a percentage of the votes above the single digits in non-internet contests--certainly gave us an interesting ride. Here are a few of the YouTube moments gave rise to an unlikely movement.

You can't run a successful campaign if the media refuses to cover you. This has been the problem with Libertarian candidates in the past, and this was one of Mr. Pul's major problems as well. Americans have become used to convenience in everything, including their politics, and if they can't get information without having to take the time to do a lot of research on their own about a candidate, they are NOT going to, EVEN if that candidate has great ideas and is the best choice, as I believe, Mr. Paul is. Such is life today in George W. Bush's America.

He was the only candidate that wasn't bought and paid for by our corrupt government. He explained what was wrong and why with the country and the very people who control this country are deliberately trying to make it a third-world country so that they can merge this country with Canada and Mexico. With the deliberate attempt to bankrupt this country, he was exposing the shadow government and their conspiracy to make a "North American Union", modeled after the European Union. Since they control the media and are well entrenched they manipulate the polls and top level govt people who pull strings to get their hidden agenda accomplished. If the truth be really known their are probably more people supporting Ron Paul than any other candidate. If every person in this country voted for Ron Paul he would still not win because they program the polls and rig the voting machines. Ron Paul has awakened the sleeping giant in the country, but is there still time before people understand the root cause of the conspiracy. It looks the political insiders plan for a "one world government" is on schedule. I will still write you in when the election occurs and I advise all Ron Paul supporters to do the same.

David,
It is writers(sorry, I cannot call you a journalist)and media like you that do a great injustice to our country by false reporting. Ron Paul is not out of the race. He will continue as long as he has support.
The Revolution has just begun, people
VOTE RON PAUL
Article Watchdog6:51PMMar 7th 2008
This article is libelous as Paul has NOT DROPPED OUT yet . The Knowles character is either a jerk or an idiot!
REMOVE THIS ARTILCE6:56PMMar 7th 2008
Ron Paul has not dropped out. This article is giving false information. Remove it. Also, I would suggest firing David Knowles. His name is quite inappropriate as he is hardly KNOWLEdgeable.
Bethy7:37PMMar 7th 2008
Oh how sad,
Sad that the only press Paul gets is a misunderstood "farwell" notice. This campaign is such a popularity contest. Who has the most money to put ads on TV? who has the most support of celebrities (by the way, why would we support a candidate solely on the fact that a celebrity would? they PRETEND for a living!!!) Who actually KNOWS what Ron Paul stands for? it's just sad that if you want to know anything about a candidate other than obama or clinton you have to research it. Then it wont really matter because people are going to vote for who they see the most on TV. I applaud Jimmy Kimmel for having him on his show. :)
Sorry for venting, it just is so sad that we have the choice to pick our president, but we can't make everyone research the candidates and make an educated vote.

Let them print what they want. There has been a concerted effort to minimalize Congressman Paul, and it has continually backfired.
If you live in one of the following states:
Arkansas, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico,
North Carolina, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont
We want YOU to become a Ron Paul delegate! Click here for more

The other candidates will crash the economy while the euro rises and the EU gets credit. Americans will demand the NAU.

What can we expect from a populace that knows little to nothing of the constitution? It is a sad day. I hope that he continues to get his message out and that more people take an interest in preserving this country, lest we have no country to preserve.

Ron Paul has NOT dropped out. Watch the video for yourself.
I am so sick of the media's lies.
Katie1:31AMMar 8th 2008
Why bother even reading "news" when it's not accurate? It's amazing to me that Ron Paul has come this far in the race with all the tremendous lies the media has spun against him. Even though Ron Paul isn't dropping out yet, it's a sad, sad time in history when the most honest, intelligent, qualified candidate for president is ignored and written off as someone with radical ideas (which ironically are the ideas that made our country so great in the first place). The only person with any common sense and understanding of what is happening to our country is overlooked by American citizens who would rather vote for other candidates who want to take our freedoms away and give more control to the government. All I can say is that anyone who votes for Hillary, Obama, or McCain has no right to complain when our health care system collapses, our economy declines, and our freedoms that we take for granted in America are continually taken away little by little.

It's funny how bad these people want Ron Paul out
of the race.
HE HAS NOT GIVEN UP, AND HIS FOLLOWERS WILL NEVER
GIVE UP EITHER. You, Mr. Know-less are an idiot
The revolution will go on even without Mr. Paul.
Ron Paul oriented politicians will come out of the
dark real soon!!!!!!!
Davidg10:50AMMar 8th 2008
This is the second time aol bloggers have flat-out lied about this.
Justin Minipaul did it a few weeks ago and now David Knowsless.
Just what we have come to expect.
Mar11:04AMMar 8th 2008
You need to understand Ron Paul is still in the race.
He has not given up, the fight will continue at convention. After that we can still write in Ron Paul.
Keep the Faith. the revolution depends on us.
A lot of things could change radically before September and convention.

After Air Force Decides to Outsource American Jobs and Military
Capabilities, Murray Vows to Fight that Decision
This week my colleagues and I in Congress began to fight back against
the Air Force's decision to award a $40 billion contract to build our
aerial refueling tankers to the European-based company Airbus. As our
nation's economy struggles and our troops are deployed around the
world, we can not afford to outsource American jobs and military
capabilities. In the coming days, weeks, and months I will continue
to speak out, demand answers from the Air Force, and work to change
this decision.

Protest the outsourcing of our countries security.

Why is it that the american people can't see what is going on in this country?
Is It true what the rest of the world is saying about americans?
We just blindly follow whatever we are told and accept that as truth because we are too lazy to reserch on our own? I did my reserch and I can tell u this, there is no better person running for president than RON PAUL..............
